Will never forget stumbling across your youtube for the first time. Watching some guys that weren't even sure if they would like Attack on Titan. Seeing Cannon and Carter's journey into anime and watching people fall in love with a sect of media you love has been such a special journey. Cannot believe it has now come to this! Epic news and congrats guys have fun in LA.

Promanex(Alex)

Yo I am so excited for you guys. I am a big league fan I have been playing and following the scene for 10 years! Lately for the past year I have quitted the game and the Lcs all together. WHY AM I GRINNING FROM EAR TO EAR RIGHT NOW???? I’M SO HAPPY FOR YOU GUYS!!!! been part of this community for over two years now and i’ve loved every second of it; so much so that your wins literally feel like my wins (call it parasocial if you want). i’m so proud of your growth guys and i’m gonna try and tune in to everything i can over this weekend. LET’S GO GEKS!!!!! p.s. league is not something i’m well versed in, but is still something i wanna try and play one day. i’ve watched a few of your streams and i love necrit’s league update/lore videos on yt just because i’m a fan of arcane. i’ve also followed faker’s story and thanks to new jeans song for worlds, i know about deft’s story too. basically: my knowledge is sparse at best, but i AM INTERESTED! all this to say: i shall tune in! enjoy these 4 days!

Carter D. Andrus

If you would’ve told me 4 years ago that an anime would be my favorite show ever, and that we would be getting flown out for LEAGUE OF LEGENDS…..this isn’t real life lol. But it IS!! Thanks to all of you guys, this channel that was once just an idea has been the craziest ride with you all. Thank you guys for making this the best community in the world

walkman

Honestly never given a damn about league but this is huge for y’all! Congrats

Juicy D. jaloomba

WHAT IN THE FRICK???!?? I DONT EVEN PLAY LEAGUE BUT THIS IS EPIC

MADHOUSE

I’m not a League fan but I’m very happy for you guys! Congrats on the crazy opportunity boys!!

NMP

Congrats on everything, love my friends but sometimes I wish they were open minded enough to do stuff like this, the few that have been interested in stuff like anime and video games in the past are getting more and more detached from it as we all get into our mid 20s, split off into different corpo drone routes, etc. Which is completely understandable. Typing this sitting in the office. But, watching you guys reminds me of being in college a few years ago, siting down with people, showing my buddy game of thrones, breaking bad, showing a girl I was dating AOT and getting to show her the Reiner and Bert reveal, etc. Unfortunately it’s just kinda hard to get those moments anymore. Nothing better than being able to share the stuff you enjoy with the people you care about and have them actually become invested in it, and to also find the success you guys have from doing so.

Monica

Yay!!

Juicy D. jaloomba

Dang, I knew you guys liked league but JEEEEZZZZ, might have to start watching league

Dreamknight942

This is insaaaaaaaaaaane, congratulations Geks, so well deserved

Sickleweed

Congrats gentlemen! Happy for you! Welcome to LA, we have lots of good variety of cuisines here, hope you get to experience some of it!

SirCatelot

I don't care for League, so im doing it for Brig. Congratulations, happy for you!

Juicy D. jaloomba

So uh……no one piece this week? 😅 no worries if not

Anya

Mhmm...haha jk it's okay Carter life happens! Ohana first! I'll be waiting for the next kpop stream!! :)

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Ngl lore for NA LCS it kinda died around 2022 after a bunch of popular pro players/teams/casters retired. RIP my goat Dash 🥀 It should still be lit though

Gutzilla3

Unnecessary comment

QuirklessEsty

WOW that's amazing! So happy for you guys! Big Ws

Day

I hope they still post "it welcome to derry " last episode for this season.

Mr. John Kagurabachi

No. I see how excited they are and the disappointment will suck. I think it’s better they lower their expectations. Bro hasn’t seen the Mark Zimmerman and LCS rugpull lol. But free flight and hotel to LA is always lit 👍

Gutzilla3

Holy man just let them go and see for themselves

Kim 555

This is lowkey school trip vibes but better

Rin_niee_

Congrats!! Literally such a crazy moment omg

GreetswithJudgement

I’ll try to tune in! But I hope you boys have a freaking blast!!

Atokorki

this is so sick! I'm excited for you guys!

Mr. John Kagurabachi

I hate to air dirty laundry. 1) Mark Zimmerman took over as LCS commissioner and he has gotten a lot of crap online for doing a poor job 2) The LCS viewership heavily tanked and sponsorships left so they relied on crypto and UAE blood money. 200k viewers -> 10k viewers. 3) Casters/teams left because they didn’t want to associate with such organizations. Some players i believe also rugpulled. The LCS started to become more “makeshift” as a lot of “rag-tag” teams replaced all the high brand esports teams that left. But for Carter, I don’t think what he told you was a scam or anything you should be worried about. I think Mark Zimmerman is a great guy. Just the LCS has a lot of negative PR. I hope you have a good time 👍

Michael H

Never played LoL, but I’m psyched for you guys. Glad you guys are moving up in a world you all like so much 👍

mako_

This super hype, happy for yall!

Oh brother, let me tell you a little about a team called TSM… and a goat named Bjergsen… 😭😭 (still miss that man) In all seriousness though, if you have time - watch the latest video from JLXP, Jatt is the man (one of the OGs) who’s done it all (player, analyst, coach) and he goes over what to expect for the coming year including the storylines to look out for which is always fun. So happy for you all and the channel. Crazy to see you where y’all are at now from that first AoT video 💙💙

I spent a good amount of time yesterday trying to think of what to say but there’s a full length novel amount of lore and unfortunately most of it isn’t really relevant anymore, especially for someone just getting into it now. There’s been some big changes the last few years having to do with some rules and formats and the overall league format itself just reverted back to the original format this year, which will be way better for any new viewers cause what it was last year was so unbelievably hard to follow and care about, so it’s a great time to get in. I think the only kinda relevant thing I can say over text in a comment section is that the 3 teams/organizations that are the most popular AND typically end up at the top of the league are Cloud 9, Team Liquid, and Flyquest. These are also usually the teams that perform the best for NA internationally at Worlds and MSI. This year a lot of roster shuffling happened so it’s harder to gauge roster strength than it has been in the past because of good players playing with a lot of players they never have teamed up with before. One of the bigger things to note is that NA has a lot of non North American native players, referred to as “imports”. There’s a limit on how many imports a team is allowed to have but an import player is able to become a “NA native” by getting citizenship or a green card. Cloud 9 and Team Liquid are the orgs that have been around the longest, Cloud 9 being early on in the leagues formation, and Liquid being around before there was an official “league” and just independent tournaments hosted by whoever would/wanted to have one. These 2 teams have kind of been to pride of NA internationally for a long time. While there has been different teams that have made waves internationally the last few years, they’ve either exited the league completely or like Flyquest from last year to this year, look like they’ve downgraded their roster a bit in hopes of a rebuild. That being said Flyquest put up some of NAs most exciting worlds showings these last 2 years. Cloud 9 has a lot of personality and a majority of their team are actually NA natives which is rare these days, easy team to like and you can always expect Cloud 9 to do their best to set themselves up to be a top team meaning they won’t settle for being a middling team in this esport. Team Liquid is also a team that will always strive to be at the top and do what they can to be there. Liquid is my personal favorite org because I’ve been following them since the very start when they were named Team Curse and are one of the rare teams of any kind of sport or game where I’ve become a fan of the owner and the people in charge, not just the players. The owner used to be a player a really long time ago before the LCS formed and their league team has always been his biggest passion and priority and they’ve put out some high quality content over the years which made following them an even easier and enjoyable experience. Team content is kinda spotty these days but back during the peak years they were making weekly movies and it made being an invested fan a great time. All in all, there are other teams you might gravitate to and they’d deserve your attention, but Cloud 9 and Team Liquid are forever. While the history has become more detached from what’s currently going on and all the league format/rule changes, it really is an ideal time to hop in and if you’re intrigued enough to want to really learn about some of the NA LoL history, I’d check out the YouTube channels Gbay99 and The Esports Garage, they’re not strictly NA related content channels but if you browse around their stuff you’ll find some really quality entertaining videos on NA’s soulfully passionate and often tragic history. I could go on and on about everything else NA LoL related but I’m on vacation and I think that’s good “abridged” intro 😂

1999

They grow up so fast 🤧

Yhwach

Three of them are married lol

Frosty

yeah what hes saying is over exaggerated and worded in the worst way possible. is the peak of LCS behind us? yes. are you walking into some scam or being offered a trip by some nefarious morally bankrupt company/people? no. the viewership having gone down has little to nothing to do with crypto lmao. A LOT of esports are heavily intertwined with betting and crypto sponsors AND saudi money/investments (the biggest most successful esports too, like counter strike). You guys have nothing to worry about whatsoever, will be a good time and if you remember anything this guy said afterward you will think to yourself, "what the heck was he talking about?"

Mr. John Kagurabachi

Yo ur just reiterating what I said no? Aren’t we agreeing?

Frosty

i replied to your comment way lower down with some info but something i just thought you guys would think is funny is that they call Cloud 9's midlaner, Yaptain America (his ign is APA but hes one of the few players that shows some personality and he will all chat the enemy team in live games on stage)

Frosty

oh and MarkZ used to be an analyst/coach for Team Liquid years ago lmaooo
