This is entirely my personal guess so it's definitely not spoiler. I think the white hair girl that showed up by the end of ep 23 looked a lot like the genius girl that was in Zanka's back story. If my guess is correct, it's soo imteresting how she chose to be a Raider and Zanka's matchup with her would be EPIC

To clarify - the guy in the room bundled in a blanket/comforter isn't the Giver responsible for the Chokers. He's the "invincible shut in" who was able to keep Cleaner HQ unharmed by that attack Semiu fended off by herself. Will also point out that the Hell Guard leader, Kyouka (who is related to Zanka, same last name) also has a Choker, so Chokers aren't an exclusive piece of gear for Cleaners. And, yeah, that's Tamsy at the end with Amo. The hair being down throws people off, but that is him. That momemt in the manga is meant as a huge twist that you get right away, though, so you aren't meant to be left guessing there.

As a manga reader, I can say that s2 is going to be even better, the manga legit just keeps evolving, and it doesn't stay stale; it's quite literally pedal to the medal. I actually really enjoyed this first season. I think they did a great job at teasing the world building, we have the hell guard, the cleaners, the raiders, the sphere, and the original spell casters, which opens up so many possibilities and new characters. I also wanted to mention the eerie artistic direction the anime took, which complements the manga so well. I feel like it really elevated moments that needed to be emphasized, and it did a great job. My favorite being the way they did amo's backstory and noerde's death. A little tease, the manga right now is at it's peak, and Im really excited for how the anime is going to adapt the greatness the manga has been delivering.

Given how the lip piercing and eye scar are so specifically Tamsy's, I really feel like this falls in the category of clarification and not spoiler. Don't find it much different from clearing up how the Shut In isn't the Choker creator since it's already been established that his power has to do with protecting the HQ. Apologies to Cannon if it feels like I did spoil that for him, but that moment is pretty regularly misunderstood in the anime when it was never in doubt in the manga.

Really enjoyed this series. And I felt deep down Tamsy was sus. Ready for more! I think an 8.6 is a fair rating! My only gripes are the typical anime tropes that I hate with a passion but the story is intriguing and the characters are pretty damn cool and the aesthetic is such a vibe! Can’t wait for more!

Sorry I comment rarely, but I sincerely love this show. I forgot to talk about it when it happened, but not many shows could pull of that car sequence and make it fun and not out of place. I love the flavor of the show so far and can't wait for more. edit: The car scene in the middle of the battle last episode, though episode 23's car scene is also awesome.

Cannon, didn’t get this comment in last time, but I started watching you guys during early AOT on YouTube and joined patreon when you started HxH, my favourite shows are HxH, Haikyuu and One Piece. Gachiakuta, Kot7K, one piece and the weekly anime are what I’m watching rn. Gachiakuta is a surprisingly good rewatch, always looking forward to it when it drops. Favourite character has to be Enjin, his vibes are always peak.

My personal headcanon with how the blonde girl survived the border is she states that the watchman takes whats most precious from you, so obviously for sphererites that get launched into the pit its there lives, but norede(Blonde GIrl) was already willing to sacrifice her life but valued her memories i guess, so instead the watchman just made her some sort of brain dead or forgot her memories

Two things we learn from here which i think is important is rudo is somewhat linked to this canis guy, presumably the person who original owned the watchman series since its his logo?? and maybe rudo could originally be from the ground, would be funny as the hell guard are looking for a sphererite talking about his DNA but if Canis is friends of the Idol whos from the ground rudo could be of ground origin, also Suberec is just Cerebus backwards who is the three headed dog that pressumably guards the underworld, preventing the dead from escaping and living from entering, so i really wonder how that ties into the whole concept, im thinking it might link to the border.

First of all cmon lets use comprehension here, we last saw her, her body was being disfigured, we now see the camera pan to her and her bodies completely fine and is lying on a matress conviently, Zoydl even mentions how the plan worked because they all survived. Ill give you the benefit that it might be your first shonen/anime but those are hints poinitng towards her being alive. No one has died yet in Gachuikuta but also the author isnt showing her all healed up from the supposed injuries for no reason. Now i could be wrong as she could be dead but that would be the one percent chance and mean i should ignore everything thematically that they showed the last three episodes.

One of my favorite first seasons from an anime in a while, such incredible world building and character development, I cant wait to see the lore continue to expand and for Rudo to contrinue growing cause i feel like he could end up being one of my favorite mcs of all time as he continues to evolve. Hopefully they end up doing like 50 volumes of the manga and bones continues with the anime cause they are killing it so far

One thing i really appreciate about this show it takes the regular shonen concepts and spits it back at you in a new way we havent seen, im tired of people looking at Enjin and expecting him to be this gojo/kakashi like broken character. Enjin is a leader not just because of his strength the funny thing is the show isnt even about strength, so when the raiders were soloing the cleaners thats the point, the raiders specialise in trash beasts not people there instruments reflect that. People always wonder why Enjin has an umbrella but i love how the vital intruments tell us so much about characters, Enjin is a person who weve seen to find people at there lowest and find away to pull them out of that pain without judging them, function just as an umbrella, in the rain(Metaphor for pain/suffering) no matter who you are and what you look like, an umbrella is meant to be shared as it brings people together those who once may not see eye to eye. And that represents Enjin perfectly hes a character that cares for other people and functions as a shield protecting his fellow cleaners. So gachuikuta is such a good show because there vital instruments also serve as a direct corelation to the different characters and actually can sometimes give more depth to them and explain there characteristics/backstories. The most apparent one being rudos ability to see the worth in things that people deemed as worthless then manfiseted to ThreeR. But yh im really intrested where we go with Enjin because theyve also stated mutilple times its not his real name and we know when a Vital Instrument is at its max strength we see the named Incarved on the side, so is Enjin holding back like Jabber in some sort of way?? Were yet to see so much.

Im sorry to say but these are both hindsight merchant sort of stuff, its impossible to know if the Shut in guy is a the choker maker or not because the maker hasnt been revealed. What if the shut in guy had two vital instruments, or he just made the chookers with a watch man series and his actual instrument is second. Your using knowledge you already know to hindsight, Also same with the cliffhanger, yes it looks exactly like tamsy but that doesnt mean it is? Could be someone using a clonining technique it could be a twin, Pls refrain from confirming something unless the anime explicity states it. The whole point of this stuff of being up in the air is to make the watcher think, your weakning the cliffhanger for Season Two by confirming it

I think the cerberus backwards is going to mean something or explain how rudo links to the border and how he survied because Cerberus kinda acts as the watchman, its a three headed dog that stops the dead for escaping the underworld and stops the living from entering.

The choker maker is alluded to in the shaded sketching during the Zodyl and Bundus conversation about the chokers. While it's not 100% out of the possibility, the depiction of the person is quite different enough that even first time watchers like me would think they are two different people, unless they put a twist but time will tell. To say it's impossible to know when the show itself puts that together and shows us isn't an accurate statement.

The show literally, in this same episode, shows a drawing of the Giver who makes a Choker implying its someone in a chair hooked up to a ton of tubes and you think that leaves room for it to be the guy in the comforter surrounded by body pillows? It's not even about knowing what comes next in the story, it's just using the information they've given us to figure out what's currently happening. Same way that the guy with the piercing and the giant eye scar is probably the one character in the entire show with those very distinct physical traits.

I'm caught up on the manga, this was an amazing adaptation. The coming seasons will be amazing, they'll answer some questions but you'll be asking way more after. Jack was kinda spot on when he said it's like Vinland season 1, this was really laying the groundwork for bigger stuff to come.

I recommend a rewatch but with the Dub. Theres just a certain "Aspect" to the dub that the Sub doesnt have. Especially with Jabber's voice lines.

i know im super late but i absolutely adore this show. i grew out of shounen so i didnt give this a chance for quite some time but im so glad i did bc now its in my top 10. Im a sub purist too but this dub is one of the greatest i have ever heard, and the show is SO shrouded in mystery so i really benefited from doing more than one watch. As for what canon asked at the end about the manga, it literally just keeps getting better. there has no been a single dull moment. i havent even caught up yet and it's already reframed some scenes and lines spoken in the adapted anime, kind of the way rewatching attack on titan does. i have zero doubts that future seasons will easily top this one. urana is an INSANE author i absolutely adore this series. get excited for season 2!
