Why are all the reaction channels suddenly reacting to this ? Tbh I think this show is very overrated. Sherlock is basically a superhero in it. Doesn't make sense. The Robert Downey Jr ones are way better because they are a bit more grounded. This just feels like too much of a fantasy with how he guesses everything right without any logic to it.

I remember it being super popular, and it actually came out before the Hobbit so everyone was definitely amused by the casting of Bilbo and Smaug at the time. i absolutely adore how much you guys enjoyed this. it's gonna be so fun tuning into this (hopefully) every week. also, on john's limp: it's not necessarily that he "faked it" it's more like some ptsd from being a soldier manifested itself in a physical way in his body–that's what psychosomatic means. the way i pictured it is like this: he got hurt in a minor way and sustained a temporary injury in that leg and because he didn't wanna let go of his time in afghanistan, his brain convinced him that his leg was still/more injured than it actually was. point being: a psychosomatic injury can actually feel real and usually, it takes much more internal work to overcome it, this is fiction so they obviously took some liberties with the storytelling.

Not only important, he literally invented the first computer, theoretical computer science, and is essentially the reason the allies could win WW2. And then he was prosecuted by the country he saved for being gay and underwent chemical castration and eventually killed himself. It’s such a sad story. He was only retroactively pardoned from his arrests in 2017 when the UK made the Alan Turing Law, after several rejected attempts by activists for him to receive a post-humous pardon over the course of 2009-2016. The Imitation Game is just a fantastic movie for showcasing how heartbreaking his situation was after saving our country.

I have a lot of American friends here in London and they all agree our baked beans are so much nicer (ironic because Heinz is produced in my American friend’s hometown lol). Don’t knock it til you try it! Also my mum used to make my beans on toast as a kid with all the beans in the middle and the toast cut up into soldiers around the edge of the plate so it looked like a sunshine ☀️

15:10 I feel like all of that stuff makes sense. It's not like he's 100% all the time, he's just making strong guesses. The bit that I feel like doesn't make sense is the pink dead lady. If she were asphyxiating that would have been slow and painful... no way she would have died in such a perfect position LMAO. Still love this show, but some moments are def a little... hm. I hated episode 2 as well it felt so cringey to me but maybe it's because I'm chinese I dno.
