There was a long wait between all the seasons tbh 😩

MistyKahn

This is one of my favorite episodes. It just shows the dynamic of Sherlock, Watson, and Mary so well. The humor and how everything comes together is so well done.

BEANS ON TOAST!!! My jaw literally dropped

Sam M

Wow I forgot how good this episode was. One of my favorites for sure. It literally had everything

izykyzi

The foreshadowing at the very beginning of the episode when Ms Hudson asks "who leaves a wedding early?" 😭

Nomaan

Guys come on what are u on about Watson’s brother?? We were told it was a sister in the first episode😔😔 I’m disappointed😅

Ella

One of the most memorable episodes for me for some reason! Thanks for the reaction!

Cannon Andrus

I think my favorite episode of the season!

Belle 🔔

One of my favorite episodes I think season 3 might be my favorite season

Aki

BRO i am dying at "our reactions are uncut and unedited" immediately to cut twice 😂 i can't wait for you guys to see next episode!

ch4da

Damn Cannon was cooking in this episode

ch4da

Also a fun fact: in the books, murder in the shower was really done by a little person hiding in the vents so Lestrade's theory is actually true

WOOO MORE SHERLOCK

LPP

Mycroft is working out and wearing that silly midriff because the show is paying homage to the original ACD stories in which he's supposed to be very heavy-set and physically lazy. And that's why even though Mycroft is intellectually superior to Sherlock, he doesn't achieve what Sherlock does because he can't be bothered to. (You can look up the original illustrations by Sidney Paget in The Strand and see how each of the characters were originally envisioned :)

John has a Sister not a brother

Yes, this episode had a more light-hearted tone. It focused a lot on Sherlock's emotional growth. It's funny and adorable how this man solved the hardest cases yet struggled with his best man speech. That speaks to how important and special his relationship with John is. The 'high-functioning sociopath' is becoming less detached and is building human connections which makes him walking out alone so sad!

Lestrade just giving up his big case to go help Sherlock is underappreciated. What a legend

Such a great episode. The scene where Sherlock talks to Mycroft inside his mind palace is honestly brilliant. The way Mycroft seems to pressure him to keep pushing his deductions makes it feel like Sherlock sees him as the only person who’s actually smarter than him — or at least the only one who can point out what he’s missed. It almost felt like a Socratic dialogue. And the fact that all of that reasoning happens in the split second when Sherlock drops and shatters the glass — I love how the show visualizes the speed of his mind like that. It’s always such a rush to watch. We’ve been running at full speed up to 3x1, so I really enjoyed that this episode stepped a bit away from a straight-up murder case and gave us more of Sherlock and John just being… them. Of course it still ties back into solving something in the end, but their dynamic was so fun to watch. I do have slightly mixed feelings about John marrying Mary, though. It’s sweet and definitely something to celebrate, but it also means he’s not living with Sherlock anymore. John is Sherlock’s one and only person — so if he builds a family and eventually has a child, doesn’t that leave Sherlock just a little bit alone again? I feel like that quiet loneliness is reflected in the final scene, where Sherlock leaves the party early instead of dancing with everyone else.

Sherlock admitting that he loves to dance but then he doesn't have anyone to dance with at the end and leaves early 😭 kill me

Nivek

The wedding is one of my favorites of the series. Has a bit more of that witty back and forth banter than most. Sorry for Sherlecker-ing btw 🫡

I love this comment. I had similar thoughts about the Mycroft scene. So loaded

Emily Rose

The beans and toast!!!

Emily Rose

I love Ms. Hudson talking about her cartel boyfriend. She was a BADDIE back in her day

Hoky

THAT WAS SUCH A GOOD EPISODE. Forgot how goated it was.

Neti

funniest episode in the whole series fr

Neti

the way Cannon kept repeating "He loves dancing" with that sad expression there at the end, bro I get you 🥹🥹🥹 it's true tho, Sherlock is certainly becoming more "human" as the show progresses, we've already seen many instances which point to the fact that he actually experiences emotions quite deeply (despite him trying to convince himself and the world of the opposite). Sherlock just CARES and that's one of my favourite things abt him

Neti

also, I just love how you guys enjoy the music and point out how good it is, as someone with musical background YOU GET IT!!!! the score in this show is absolutely goated, def deserves more love

Jmo

Watching this show with you guys for the 7th time is just as good every single time. God I love this show. Been a lurker on your channel since your first Aot YouTube video and never expected you to react to this show and I’m super glad you guys are and keep up the awesome reactions

McKay Carter

ryejett

NOT THE BEANS ON TOAST LMAOOOOOOOO

DonDuh103

This episode and season 2 ep1 are the best episodes! The whole time feels like a mystery with really good GOT dialog, and theses 2 both have good production with unique scenes Diabolical ending with Sherlock being by himself 😭😭😭!

DonDuh103

Cannon was Sherlock on this episode noticing the wine!?!

DonDuh103

The Geks all went crazy when they saw that😂😂

I'M ALL CAUGHT UP NOW, WOOOOO! okay, I LOVED this episode the first time round and rewatching it with you guys and seeing you enjoy it was AWESOME. i love sherlock and john and mary so much. i'm so glad that this is the most recent episode you reacted to, it's literally my favourite of the whole show.

saida

the episode would have been goated anyway but the infamous beans on toast FINALLY making its appearance in it is like the cherry on top

Isabel Percy

Sherlock hype ftw i still am pissed its not getting more love. gald all geks are enjoying it though

Isabel Percy

legit peaked comments last episode now we falling back.

At last my favorite episode! Although i do agree that the ending to it should've been different. I do think that the writers were trying to convey that even after all that happened in the episode regarding Sherlocks developments, he still thinks that he is no longer needed and that things will change as he had been fearing. specially now that John and Mary are officially married and have a kid on the way. Sherlock probably though that the best he could do in that moment was leave. It still makes me so sad ;A; Since you guys have been enjoying this show a lot, i think you guys may also like Hannibal! I know Carter might have some difficulties with the gore, but the writing on that show is great!

strife

I kinda agree with Carter on the ending... btw next episode has my favorite sequence from the entire show (iykyk)

Life of Morgan

God this was such a good episode until the sucker punch at the end 😭 I get why though. So much development!

Sari-chan

He is my favorite Sherlock. Love this episode! It is important that Sherlock "feels" like that at the end. It will make him more understanding of others.

Chi T.

I think the Geks will enjoy watching The Crown, not sure if anyone has floated this recommendation before!

❣️ Vladlena ❣️

Bridesmaid and bed man’s fling is really a pretty common thing 😅at least in some European country.

Cannon’s “He loves dancing” with sad puppy look at 1:27:15 was so adorable!

I’m glad you all enjoyed this episode so much. It is my favorite episode from this series. But I do think it is a little bit of wish fulfillment to think that Sherlock is going to end up in a true romantic relationship. Even though they play around with the original stories, this series does still stick to a lots of those original stories. This one pulls bits out of the story A Sign of Four. And it is in that story that Watson does meet a Mary, who he does get married to. Although, that Mary never plays a significant role in the stories. But Sherlock Holmes never has a true romantic relationship, even though he does think of the Woman, Irene Adler, with fondness and admiration. The opening sequence with the bank robbery is taken from a story titled the Red-Headed League, and it is one of the classic Sherlock Holmes stories. If you guys are interested in seeing something that is very faithful to the original stories, you should check out the old Granada series starring Jeremy Brent. Each episode is based on a single Sherlock Holmes story. And most of them are no longer than an hour, although I believe that the Hounds of the Baskervilles and A Sign of Four are one and a half hours. You could pick out a couple of the more famous stories and check out those episodes. For instance, you could check out A Scandal in Bohemia to get a more traditional sense of Irene Adler. I’m particularly fond of the Blue Carbuncle and the Silver Blaze. Jeremy Brett and Benedict Cumberbatch are my two favorite Sherlock Holmes interpretations.
