Fun fact; the voice actors of one piece actually have an official album filled with songs about the show and their characters if you wanted to check them out. Even side characters like crocodile and enel have ones and it’s become a tradition for major character of one piece to have their VAs sing an official song

The reason why we give you guys flak about Neobrane is because they artificially make the openings 60 frames per second. Most animation is at 24 frames and people artificially create 36 more frames by using an AI and it ruins the animation tbh. It distorts it too much.

Yeah that makes sense now. Endings are for the credits and are often accompanied by slower songs and simpler animation, like still frames or character shots. Majority of anime follow this formula, particularly older anime, eg the big 3 all do this. I'd assume its because of budget and time constraints. Of course, theres gonna be anime that go above and beyond but from my personal experience thats a bit uncommon, but I think thats starting to change due to the growth of anime in recent years. I read a while back and idk if its true, that one of the reasons for this approach (outside of budget and time constraints like I mentioned) is that it was a way to sort of "calm" the audience down after watching the episode. I think mainly because anime usually airs towards/in the evening.

I can't be the only one who got rage baited by them refusing to enjoy 10 just out of spite, when they don't realize that the OP 7 version of We Are was only used for 5 filler episodes. OP 10 wasn't just new the VAs signing the exact same song, it was a completely new mix. Also JACK please add this playlist to your youtube, it's all One Piece openings in 4K but with normal 24 FPS. The reason people dump on neobrane and other uploads is the 60 FPS interpolation.

Btw it’s only rumors but I heard that the only other person that knows about the One Piece is Oda’s editor (or something like that) and he said that Oda told him the whole thing over a phone call and it lasted 8h to 12h. It took him that long to explain the ending of the story and what the One Piece is. He also told him to “be prepared to die for One Piece” ..😅

im super late and they might even say this in the video & I just missed it somehow, but just to clarify why One Piece openings are so hard to follow chronologically: A lot of the songs are region locked and copywritten, so certain streaming platforms (crunchyroll, funimation, the Cable TV version of the show, etc) had different openings from like openings 7 to 11. for example, 'Jungle p' the one with the rap was the opening for like 200 episodes straight on crunchyroll because the other songs were region locked to japan. this is also why the geks did not recognize the beginnings of some of these openings, like the boa one opening 11, because that opening does not exist on most streaming platforms (believe its a funimation exclusive?) so yeah. some goes with the 'We Are' remixes. all very exclusive
