YESSSS!! Thank you!! I was about to re-watch one of your older reactions so the wait time until the next upload wouldn't feel too long. I had the same feelings as Carter and Cannon regarding the characters lmao. I was iffy about Robin's new look and was disappointed in her tan being gone, though I found out she wasn't originally meant to be tan in the first place. Hated Chopper's hat, but it grew on me. I was also upset about the scar over Zoro's eye and hated the fake Straw Hats with a passion haha. Favorite moments were Luffy's haki blast, Brook's concert, and just seeing all the Straw Hats again after their timeskip. I feel wanting them to reunite ASAP. **Fan Letter coming soon, I'm excited**

Oda actually doesnt do different skin tones until a specific thing later because according to him its just too much to be accurate within the deadline time frames. BUT it's clear as day his intention of race for said characters. Toei should have done it proper since theyre whole job is to color and animate lol but technically they just copied the colored manga editions. Robin funny enough was assumed tan by Toei because there hadnt been a colored version of Robin yet by Oda so they clearly can assume things that make sense lol like Robin obviously being tan living in a desert region for however long. But a ton of black characters in this show lose their melanin overtime until a very specific group comes into play.

Popular head canon is she was tan from living in Alabasta for however long. But shes the equivalent of a Russian in terms of her genetics, so the tan was only temporary lol but yeah, Toei had to assume a color because Robin hadnt been colored yet by Oda by the time her intro episode came out.

Luffy isn't going to get noticeably exponentially stronger. I think a lot of the reason for lack of training arc is because they train everyday just surviving in the toughest sea to sail. They emphasize that a lot when referencing the Grandline. You train everyday by experience for the most part Luffy, Ace, and Sabo did the same thing by fighting each other and animals for food, and robbing people they were training. Same applies to the straw hats them sailing and being in situations they never thought themselves to be in you can see their growth over time.

He got better at rasengan and thats it lol all his real training with new moves and even better rasengans were later into shippuden. We can assume he got better at the fundamentals too, but Naruto is inconsistent with the types of fights they do. It's either Ninja battle being super technical, or ninja wizards ulting on each other just spirit bombing, no technique lol

I didn’t realize you were dealing with so much crap. Honestly, your “break” didn’t even feel like much of a break since you were still putting out so much OP content (alongside other shows). I really enjoyed the livestreams, and I still secretly hope you get to watch Strong World before those pre–time skip memories fade. That said, I genuinely appreciate everything you put out. If anything, I would’ve been totally fine with you taking an even longer break just to relax and recharge. I haven’t watched your Live Action reaction yet because I want to watch it myself first, so maybe some of the negativity showed up there. Either way, I don’t want to bring down the mood. I think Naruto during his timeskip advanced a lot emotionally and deepened his understandings of the basics but he didn't really have much of a level up power wise, it wasn't until Sage mode that he really spiked in power but I still think the timeskip was good for his development ahh it's lovely to be back, I didn't mind the delay at all tbh, you's should experience the show how and when you's want too but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting a bit antsy for the return, the Bleach reactions filled the Big 3 shaped hole in my heart anyways

Personally, I enjoy both the OP anime and OPLA, so I was winning regardless, but it sucks people are hating unnecessarily. I took a break between pre and post-timeskip when i first watched because it did feel like the perfect time to, and you guys could have took an even longer break and I wouldn't have minded... its your channel! Everyone always has mixed opinions on the Post-TS designs because the Pre-TS are just so iconic, but everyone also slowly gets used to them as the story progresses. Soul King Brook and Gigachad Franky are my favorite new designs, and Luffy's new outfit is just as iconic as his old one.

What are you talking about Zess? Oda never talks about skin tone and all of this is just conjecture on your part. Nothing with skin tone changes has anything to do with the manga besides Toei correcting their own changes to what oda depicts them as. I love the live action because it's a chance for me to share this peak story with my sister and mom, who have never seen anime. It holds a special place in my heart. And I see it as a reinterpretation of the original story too. I read somewhere that Oda has already decided how much of the story to adapt; it's gonna be like a way to introduce the world to a newer and more massive audience.

Oda at some point clarified in an SBS that Chopper still has his original hat, he's just wearing it underneath the blue hat; the pink parts of it (the brim and the part that has the X on it) are the visible parts of it. Assumedly it's to protect his old hat from being damaged.

I'm typing this as I'm watching the intro and I wanted to say that what you're doing with the episodes pacing and not full binging unless it's better for the enjoyment of the arc, it's pretty damn cool. You're bringing this story with you throughout the years and living the adventure, similar to anybody else who watched the episodes on release and grew up as the story went on. Plus the streams and the live action and everything it's a great way to enjoy OP from other perspectives as well! I only read the manga and devoured it as soon as I got hooked (as much as you can devour 1000+ chapters), so I'm very thankful that I can watch the anime with you following your schedule while appreciating the animation and music as well that the anime brings by taking the time to actually absorb it. So yeah, thank you for doing it this way, thanks Jack for putting you on peak, and I look forward to when we will all be old and the final episode will be dropped and we can all say that it was an absolutely legendary run <3

This is related to Naruto and his timeskip and I'm a little late to this post so sorry if people have already said similar things about this already. Naruto returning from the time skip, it seems like he didnt really change much, but you have to realize that Naruto literally didn't know shit about the fundamentals of chakra. He could do stuff like shadow clone and summoning, but he wasn't recognizing what he was actually doing. The only reason it seemed like he was keeping up or even sometimes ahead was due his insane amount of chakra and strong determination/willpower. Those three years were basically just him going to summer school to relearn everything that his peers already knew about chakra, and most importantly to catch up to Sasuke in terms of fundamentals and whatnot, but Sasuke's a genius and an Uchiha so he was already far ahead of everyone. After those three years, Naruto was essentially a bit ahead of og Sasuke, but that three year gap also greatly advanced Sasuke, as we see when we first meet him again. Stronger, faster, his repertoire of justsus, knowledge and experience with chakra control, chakra natures, changes in form, all in combination with his sharingan and also training with Orochimaru who has like infinite knowledge. So in the end, yes it looks like Naruto didn't change much because he was going from -1 to 1. This is also a problem I had with the story, I think maybe Kishimoto didn't have a full idea of chakra nature and change in form so he couldn't implement it into the story that early on. Also not adding more jutsus to Naruto's bag and how to min max his shadow clones and so on. I mean he was with Jiraiya of all ninjas for 3 years, you could've at least given him something other than a giant rasengan. Again I think Kishimoto was still figuring things out with his power system similar to Oda and Haki.

Naruto powered up less than Luffy during his timeskip, for sure. Luffy was learning new abilities whereas Naruto was basically relearning the basics of Chakra control, he didn't really get anything "new." But basically everything in Shippuden after Jiraiya dies becomes about Naruto's ability to control his Chakra with Sage Mode and then 9 Tails and all the other Tailed Beasts/Yin & Yang, so it laid the foundations for later powerscaling. I won't go into the One Piece post-timeskip stuff here, obviously, but Luffy and the rest of the crew needed their upgrades to be more substantial immediately because of what Oda did to powerscale pre-timeskip vs. what Kishimoto had done in OG Naruto.

I’m just saying it’s not insufferable and wasn’t an issue for me or really even notice if you binge it. But watching in batches like they do might be a different story. I have no issues with one pace I just haven’t watched it other than what the boys have seen. I watched it all uncut. And personally the only arc I didn’t enjoy was fishman. But watching in batches might be better to use it on the long arcs

Too lazy to scroll through all the comments but the blue thing on top of Choppers hat is a helmet, so he didn't really lose the hat Hiruluk gave him. Also Robin, Usopp, and Zoro lost all their melanin 😭 I don't care if it's accurate to the mangas color scheme

I would argue it's pretty long, it stays this way for about 5 arc, a freaking whole saga. But it's worth it, like you said they'll get used to it.

It happens to every longer run anime that's older. They white watch the hell out of their characters. I've seen it way to many times that it pisses me off 😭
