he did have a plan. but then mark, nolan, and oliver showed up. also the viltrumites were getting their asses handed to them and their ship got destroyed. so the logical next step would be regroup and plan another attack.

when it comes to alen's power level he is just as strong as a viltrumite if not a little stronger (currently) but yall have to realize that even if he is just as strong it take a second to take people down. i mean trying to take down another human just as strong as you would be a long fight. which is why he gets bodied in 2v1s / cant help others mid fight

his plan wasnt great, this episode was prty buns from the war perspective. Its just the viltrumites throwing themselves solo into insane odds and being surprised things arent perfect for them. it also doesnt help at all that we arent seeing ANYTHING go well for them. It would benefit extremely well showing us places that have likes 1000s dead next to a single V body. watching conquest die, lucan and co retreating, buddy getting got by space racer, random Vs dying in seconds or off screen. then thragg makes some half cocked invasion relying on brute force with no real strategy only to be matched more or less evenly then retreating without getting his own hands dirty. This is an episode where the mediocre production only hurts it

I guess it’s asking a lot but considering this a fairly big budget show and an Amazon flagship IP at the moment, does it bother anyone else how trash the actual fights and conflict are in this show? Have we ever actually seen one person dodge an attack or display any amount of battle iq? It’s just people back and forth exchanging blows, characters just waiting to be hit and then hitting back… the animation is already so base, can we get a bit of fluidity?
