Hey Geks! The musical reference in this ep is the musician Carlos Santana, which "Santviento" is named after. The subtitles read "Santviento" because of copyright but if you listen to what they're saying, it's "Santana". Pay attention to how they say names vs reading the subtitles and you'll notice the difference.

Just a tip for you Guys, listen to the voice actors to find out the real names, this will be crucial for the actual names throughout the whole show. They changed names due to copyright since some names are named after either songs or artists

I'm sure some other comments have mentioned it, but almost every character in this show is named after a famous band or artist. Because of this some of the character's names are changed a bit in english subtitles to avoid copyright issues. The pillar man's name is actually Santana, named after the famous guitarist, but in the subtitles they change it to Sanviento

The different music and cultural references in Jojo's are one of my favorite things about the show. People mentioned most of the references in this episode already but one I'm not seeing is Stroheim who's probably named after the famous 1920s actor and director Erich Von Stroheim.

As much as I love Joseph, I don’t think he’s the peak of his creativity, there are definitely other characters and aspects in the series that reach that same level, he’s a 100% the breakthrough in arakis writing, but not the absolute peak imo

Not sure if you guys know but Joseph is actually British/grew up in England! I think in the first episode of Part 2, he says Speedwagon called Granny Erina and him all the way to New York. I’ve never seen the dub so I might be wrong, but I heard they also made Joseph have a British accent 😆
