sorry guys but i've been keeping this in for too long, i thought it would get better magically somehow but it seems no one has said anything so far.... can we put the quiet brothers together and have the mic near them? i feel like I could hear cannon and carter even if the mic was in the other room. it's been mostly every video where I turn up the speakers to 80% to hear jack and mckay, and then get blasted with carter's "normal" voice and my ears start bleeding. does anyone else feel the same or is it just me?? it can't just be an issue only I am having... to clarify it's not about "just turning up my volume more", i want the volume to be consistent between everyone so there's not a huge discrepency between you guys, and having 2 people be significantly louder than the other 2 makes it harder to control volume levels.

I will say, as someone who is here for both Jojo's and Bleach, I feel like the other schedule from the poll could be better. Maybe stick with this schedule for this week and next week, and then do two weeks of the other schedule. Then you can do another poll and see what people think having experienced both. Mainly up to you guys and what you are able to do, but I feel like it could be worth a shot.

Hi, Geks) If you want to understand Bleach better and on a deeper level, after episode 63, check out: 1. Chapters -12.5/169, "Blooming under a cold moon" and -16/-016, "To Die on an ice field". These chapters were NEVER adapted into episodes. 2. Episode 227, "Wonderful error". This episode is an adaptation of a few bonus chapters. 3. The movie Memories of nobody. This movie contains some canon material that is important to the story ( Not the entire movie is canon, as the anime staff didn't faithfully adapt Kubo-sensei’s original ideas). 4. The light novel The honey dish rhapsody. Kubo-sensei co-wrote this novel, as he has with all Bleach novels. Unfortunately, it does not have an official English translation, but there're good fan translations available. As someone that watched Bleach as it was released, I can tell you the reason it's underrated and "forgotten." It's the filler arcs. After this Soul Society arc ended, it went straight into a filler arc, and at the time I didn't know that so I watched it all... and it was just simply terrible. And the transition to the filler arc was so jarring, I still remember being confused on what happened. Practically ALL the filler arcs/eps are just sooo bad. People I've chatted with back then that criticized the show, when I asked them why they didn't like Bleach, they always pointed out things from the FILLER arcs. Remove the filler arcs, and Bleach is right there with One Piece, and in ways tops it.

Yoruichi vs Soi Fon always reminds me of Maki vs Mai from the first season of JJK. Similar settings and the love/hate relationship between the characters is familiar as well. IDK if Gege ever said explicitly if the Mai and Maki relationship was directly inspired by Yoruichi and Soi Fon, but it wouldn't surprise me given what a big Bleach fan Gege is known to be.

Two important things to note: 1. They have to say “BANKAI” for it to be Bankai. If they simply call out the name or say a specific chant with the sword name without saying Bankai, it’s just their Shikai. Bankais are a big deal and not used loosely. 2. They have now mentioned 3 of the 4 great noble families: - Kuchiki Clan with Byakuya and Rukia through adoption - Shiba Clan with Ganju, his older sister and their brother Kaien who was possessed by a hollow and killed by Rukia - Shihoin Clan which Yoroichi is from. Their emblem was on the shield item Utitake (white haired captain) used to destroy the sokyoku and the cape ichigo used to fly. Just thought a recap would help since there are so many long and hard names being thrown around.

Arguably what's even worse is the filler arcs happen in the middle of arcs. The anime has a small/moderate "pacing" issue when compared to manga but it's nowhere near as bad as people make it out to be imo. This is without accounting the filler. Also Bleach is relatively "short" The og Bleach is around 210 eps long which isn't that "long".

I have noticed though that the drops have been earlier in the day which is great and I sorta like each show drop closer together since you basically get more ep closer together and (what feels to me) faster. By next week the gap between bleach drops will shorter and be 5 days but you'll get it two days in a row AND I also feel it's easier to follow the plot for each show on their end? I just feel like there are lots of pros to consider with this new schedule. I really appreciate them trying something new in terms of the drop schedule!

There are 7 episodes now left in the arc. IMO the best way to view and end it is doing a 3 episode drop tomorrow because the next 3 truly go together. Then next week back to normal 4 episodes and the arc is over. I’m sure most of the Bleach fandom would agree.

@cade-carter they kinda do though... i'm assuming it's not an omnidirectional or bidirectional setup so if it's unidirectional having jack and mckay on opposite ends of the sofa is prob a bad idea right? turning the gain up might just make it too loud for the middle 2 so having the center pointed towards the quieter guys may help idk

Yeah overall I do agree with them og Bleach anime is very old but the way they keep mentioning it being "underrated" is not something I agree with ever since tybw came out I have seen bleach content/ post everywhere online. And yes naruto is definitely more popular as its almost everyones first anime besides dragon ball, and HxH had the benefit of being reanimated with amazing animation.

Just a small correction: the shiba isnt a noble family anymore, initially there were 5 great noble families but the shiba got removed, so now we have the kuchiki, the shihoin, plus 2 others we dont know yet

I remember they also asked if Soi Fon has a bankai, I could be wrong but I don't remember exactly. Earlier in the series when we get informed about bankai they state that those who have been a captain in the thirteen squads, have all achieved a bankai, other than zaraki. Figured if they see the comment that they might be reminded of that. So every captain has had or has a bankai.

Damn this was fun to watch with you and hear your reactions! So much aura and spicy little lore drops. On the edits/social media: I personally had/have a lot of Bleach content in my circles, so maybe it’s just an algo thing lol. That’s not to say it still isn’t unfairly disrespected though.

Regarding last weeks chat: the reaction from Kubo has been overblown and misinterpreted in some communities… I’m sad that you think what we’re seeing now could have made him sick to his stomach, cause I don’t want it to taint your viewing! Here’s my understanding: Yes he had some issues with changes made, he started getting the scripts sent to him first and signed off on all of them, and he got stomach aches—which is probably from warranted anxiety (more on that below). He has not made it clear exactly what he had issues with. It’s likely filler arcs—starting with the next one—and some interactions in the canon plots. I believe he won’t call out specifics because he wants people to enjoy the anime without preconceived notions. It’s a difficult situation in the industry, and we don’t have all the details, so it’s sad to see people apply pessimism and share it around. With regard to his reactions… if it made viewers drop off the anime, especially considering he was still writing the manga: a very valid reason to feel pain. If it then caused him to sign off on all scripts: that means increasing his workload, and especially with later filler arcs, trying to ensure they can align with his ongoing story… it would have been a lot! People need to chill and consider how their comments/spoilers/hindsight might affect new viewers. Let the creators of these things that we love cook, let them make mistakes, let them perfect it like they have with TYBW, and let everyone feast!

Everything in bleach is in an edit, it has to be your algo. even this early part of bleach still gets edits and pop off but a lot of them is mixed with future arcs. Maybe it's for the best that you didn't see them yet, so you don't get spoiled.

I believe 1st captain Yamamoto was the first old guy to ever grant the screens the power of an older guy as an epic fighter. You'll know its their bankai cause they always say "bankai" when releasing that power. Their shikai usually has some little phrase they say when they release. The translation to her technique "shunko" i believe was called "flash cry" there was a website back in the day that gave you all these translations in the subtitles but I've yet to find a site that does the same thing.

I’m gonna be honest, as a first watcher I’m enjoying it but the constant aura farming is kinda annoying now, like every relevant character in every scene tries to aura farm every time. Yeah the fights are cool (they do lack animation most of the time), the characters are surprisingly more thought out than I expected but I was enjoying morr of the narrative structure before this arc. In Soul Society there’s too much jumping around to characters I still don’t care about because I don’t actually know them or know what their deal is. It would be fine if through the perspective of our uninformed protagonists we were confused at the sheer amount of lore and connection between soul reapers, the mystery would he more engaging but instead our perspective are the actual soul reapers who talk in this vague manner for not so much information to be given away or they simply drop exposition dumps at us, it feels somewhat awkward going from this to aura farming all of the time every episode. The best episode in this arc have been the renji ones definitely because it cleared up Renji’s deal with Rukia and gave us a strong emotional bond to latch onto. Zaraki’s whole deal with his sword and how that paralleled with Ichigo was awesome too. Just some thoughts on trying to figure myself out on why I seem to not be so hyped about the show like yall. I think Bleach my just be a little too carried by its cool factor but I’m still giving it the benefit of the doubt since it had some pretty good writing bits with Ichigo in the first episodes and Renji/Zaraki. Still excited for more stuff, so much mystery still

Cannon, you probably ser a lot kore of Netero because 1- You’ve seen the show and probably has typed stuff related to it in your phone and 2- Netero’s time to shine in HxH was simply a lot better imo. Netero’s fight with Meruem is a climax and the epitome of the arc between 2 of some of the best characters in battle shounen. Yamamoto AS OF NOW (haven’t seen it past the is episode) is just aura farming and we just actually met him, there was no build up and this isn’t (at least I think) a climax, we still have to see if these guys are actually written well which they might be but hard to beat Meruem and Netero.

Try compression. It'll boost the lows and bring down the screams or louder voices. I don't know what software you guys use for recording audio but I recommend reaper, its free and a professional grade DAW. If no one is Savy with audio/music production it might be a bit overkill though. Audacity might be the better option, also free and far more bare bones
