Trivia for TWD 1x4 * The title of the episode, "Vatos", refers to the fact that the opposing group that tried to take Rick's bag of guns called themselves, "vatos". * Oddly enough, in the previous episode, "Tell It to the Frogs", Morales described Rick as a "crazy vato". * This is the only episode of Season 1 written by Robert Kirkman. * Greg Nicotero, portrayed the walker that kills Amy. * Emma Bell stated that Nicotero placed a skin-colored prosthetic around her neck, which consisted of a layer of red viscous liquid and a hose. Once it was bitten into, the prosthetic exploded and resembled a severe flesh wound. * An Atlanta Camp Survivor extra, Orlando Vargas, was originally supposed to be credited and had a longer scene for his death when the walkers attacked the camp. In this shot, we see him pinned down to the ground, his hat knocked off. But in the next shot, Jim's hat is back on his head. * In several close-up scenes of Daryl with the crossbow, you can clearly see that it's not loaded correctly. The nock of the bolt (arrow) is resting well above the bow string and no way would it fire properly. * When Abuela appears during the stand-off, Rick lowers his rifle towards the ground, away from Guillermo. A little consistency would be nice for once. This seems to be the issue with every reaction channel. Imo there needs to be a set time for uploads because people have jobs and other responsibilities and it shouldn't be a guessing game on whether the uploads will be there or not especially when we PAY for this shit.

Yes! Carter's take on the outro is exactly what I always think when it comes to apocalyptic situations. It is always the humans the threat. never the parasite or zombie or cataclysmic stuff. It is always those humans that are usually so maladapted to society, psychopaths, that thrive in those situations. But I also have the hope that the mentally tough and resilient ones survive too, to rebuild humanity.

I'm sure someone has already said it, but my guess is that when Glenn drove the car up with its alarm going, it did, in fact catch the attention of nearby zombies (like, I get what the older guy was saying, but tbh, I could probably still get a sense of the direction if I heard that, even in a hilly area - that just might be because I'm from one though). Then, as the zombies moved in that direction, the sound of them moving alerted other nearby zombies who started to follow them. The only reason it happened so long after the initial day was because they were walking so slowly. And, ofc, the closer the horde got, the more sounds they picked up on until they were in smelling range and it was all downhill from there. I've only seen like, the first season of this show, mind you - and that was years ago - so this is mostly guesswork. The show could totally prove me wrong lol. Still! That's my current running theory!
