Out of the 32 canon arcs in One Piece, the next arc is objectively in the top 10. The pacing is the main downside of the arc. I think using One Pace will help with that, unfortunately I feel like it cuts a little too much out and can feel disjointed, but thats just my personal gripe. Overall it is a long arc. Even in the manga which doesn't have that extra fluff, it is still the 2nd longest arc in terms of chapters. Trust the fans, you will enjoy it in the end I can guarantee that. The story, themes, characters, setting, etc are all top tier.

Brooks attack "Aubade Coup Droit" is a move that was first seen being used by Ryuma back in thriller bark. Him being able to use it now shows the progress he made in 2 years as a swordsmen, and i love how he names his attacks, 'Aubade' is a poem or song about lovers separating at dawn and 'Coup Droit' means right handed strike in french.

I'm so glad you guys didn't get hindsighted on the Law stuff and that McKay has invested so much stock into his character, what happens in the future is why hes my favourite character in One Piece, and on top of that he has one of the coolest devil fruits. About the next arc, I don't want to say too much, however it's a fantastic arc that is unfortunately the worst paced arc in One Piece. So much so that it would be my favourite arc if it wasn't for the pacing issues (still top 5 though). P.S. on the topic of rankings, I think you guys for sure have to do an arc rankings tier list update post Dressrosa, it would be so fun to see where your rankings are after you finish.

I will say the next arc is my 2nd fav in the series and is probably one of the best arcs in anime... or should I say manga. Because really what people are complaining about is the adaptation, which really is one of the worst of all time, in any series, be that pacing, animation, character's models drawn correctly, basically little to no effort is put into the next arc by Toei. Hence it's the arc that created One Pace. Meaning the One Pace version of the next arc is a bit rough around the edges, since they were just starting out. Excited for the arc though, one of One Piece's most iconic for sure.

The pacing is really bad, although I liked more how DR looked than FMI. It is sad that the production went that way, as far as I know, so as not to catch up with the manga. Still, I enjoyed it so much... I think it does say a lot from the quality of the storytelling

No matter what you watch it in, OG or One Pace, collectively everyone categorize dressrosa as a top arc. I watched in OG like almost everyone, and the arc is in my top 5 of the whole show. Too lazy to check comments if someone mentioned this already but Trafalgar Law's design is a mix of Chopper and Zoro. Hence hat, sword, and moniker. Coincidence or intentionally inspired I'm not sure myself, but that is effectively the output. Credulence in the inspired angle when you consider how close Zoro is occasionally with Chopper via nature of frequently injured man (at least pre-timeskip) and doctor.

man not trying to hype anything up too much but to me after after punk hazard every single arc up to the point of where the anime is currently at right now is straight peak arc after peak arc and the greatest stretch of one piece without a doubt and clears pre time skip by a wide margin. obviousley gotta take in consideration the pacing issues that tremendousley disrupts the flow of the story but then again I watched it in the original format for the first time and still enjoyed it and it even made the peak moments that much better.

Of all the arcs to use it for dress rosa is a very fair arc to use it in. It was during the start of toei's bad pacing era and while it's a great arc it's definitely not like the following ones in terms of story continuity importance that can be ruined with one paces junping

Dressrosa is legitimately SO good… but the pacing is insane. Even for one piece the pacing is crazy. Like a chapter per episode lol.
