I forgot to comment this on last episode, but Sophia's death was a big turning point in the TV show, because she never dies in the comics. Some times I feel like they should have kept her alive because her relationship and differences with Carl was a nice touch.

Season 2 is a heavily underrated season, probably because of the lack of action but it's a great deep dive into the psychology following an apocalypse. If season one set the stage then season 2 expanded on how the stage is affecting the cast. There really isn't a heavy focus on the walkers in this season at all, if anything they are just used as conversation starters. It really helps to flesh out the cast and their ideologies like Rick, Shane, Dale, Daryl, Laurie, Andrea, Herschel and Glenn have all had major character development this season. Even characters with less screen time like Carol are given moments to allow the audience to see how they are processing this harsh new world. This season is a conversation starter on how you as a person would approach this situation and connects you to the group on a deeper level which elevates the narratives as a whole because everything feels real and emotional. Still not my favourite season but underrated for sure.

One thing about Rick he adapts to every situation so quickly. He accepts his mistakes and makes the right decisions from them. I truly think that Shane is the weaker one actually. He can't handle the responsibilities and everything that's happening, that's why he is twicking out so much

The bar scene was very well done. We still see Rick’s humanity despite the fact that he killed two people - he waited until they drew first and had no other choice. I also love the look that Hershel gives Rick afterwards - he might be slowly starting to see that keeping a man like Rick around is a good idea.

I really love the scene between Hershel and Rick. Imagine if you were Hershel believing that there is a cure that can bring back the people you love but then that shatters. Rick and the group have experienced lose and then the CDC was a dead end. Herschel is mourning and now he has lost that hope. Does he even want to continue? Rick is trying to help him find that hope and that discussion between them is fascinating. You can see both perspectives.
