Kisukes sword i believe was something like "the crimson princess" Jack if soul reaper swords don't look like regular katanas then they are already using their shikai's. If you noticed when Urahara left the training grounds, his sword was already in its shikai form.

toshiro as a character is a way for the crew to have a captain along side them without being too op. you can’t just have a byakuya or kenny all the time running with them.

I am about to finish the Thousand-Year Blood War arc so that I can make it to the theater on Sunday lol. I definitely did not set out to speed ahead of your reaction vids, but im kinda glad I did cause Im pumped for the movie. Note * I watched this originally as it aired, via fansubs all the way up to middle-ish of the arancar arc (2011?) and senior year of college life made me lose track of it. So you guys watching this inspired me to revisit this show, cause I always really enjoyed it. So thanks for giving Bleach a chance so that I could find it again :]

Toshiro has only ever lost to Aizen which makes sense he hasn't lost any other fights in the series so far. The last fight he was in he was heavily nerfed and still won.

Ok I could be wrong, but I think Ichigo is referencing his longest known time, 11 seconds. It doesnt mean he isnt capable of more in a real conflict. That was just dumb training before, with no stakes. This is a fight with his most recent rival..so to me he clearly went beyond 11 seconds but his cap is still quite short for a serious battle with someone like Grimmjow

I agree with this take, that is part of the reason I think Shinji let Ichigo go and fight so he can develop his hollow power quicker because we have seen before he progresses a lot faster when there is high stakes so it is possible he pushed beyond his limits this fight and that's why he is so exhausted after the mask crumbles.

The 11 seconds power up thing feels a lot different when you're reading it in the manga. You control the pace at which you read the pages so it doesn’t seem off or dragged out because all the dialogue/monologue is confined to a few speech bubbles. But when adapting it into anime, it doesn’t quite work because they actually have to depict it in real time without sacrificing the content that occurs in said time limit.

It only plays once throughout the entire show in ep 352, which sucks cause it's one of the sickest OST's ever, somehow it became the 4th most streamed Bleach OST despite that. OP probably confused it with Fiesta de Guerra which plays here in ep 139 at the end with ulqiorra

I think it just feels weird that he doesn’t win without being completely gassed/hurt since he’s a captain. I’m a new Bleach watcher here so it does come off a little disappointing not that I don’t like Toshiro. 60 ep in and we’ve seen about 4 to 5 captains be defeated already just feels to fast at time seeing captain lose let alone see captain level fights. Unlike Naruto or One Piece any character that’s high power scale level. For Naruto you don’t see those characters till the end of Shippuden or with One Piece you get a glimpse of character that scale high and they absolutely diffs everyone including are main cast or we haven’t even seen the power of some characters still or until post time skip. So basically maybe it’s the pacing of Bleach since it’s much quicker but either way I feel captains shouldn’t be losing or struggling how they’ve shown.

I always wondered why the walls started so plain and it seemed like the window was one of those small ones near the ceiling that you only really see in basements.
