Yoshified

McKay better be better by the time AANG COMES OUT

Bird

The odyssey was peak

alex anderson

That’s the general opinion I’m hearing about the odyssey, is that it’s a good movie, but not a great movie. I’ll eventually see it, but I’m not stressing to see it like backrooms or obsession.

Mitch

Odyssey was phenomenal easily movie of the year so far.

cozo

the odyssey review in a bleach reaction 😭

KazumaSpitfire

I saw The Odyssey last friday with my family, everyone absolutely loved it. We all like greek mythology to some degree and thought it was a great immersive experience. My rating would be 9.2/10 definitely will watch again when it comes to streaming so I can watch with subtitles on

Bird

best theater experience I've had in a minute

JojoJack

I was lucky the IMAX I regularly visit had the 70mm imax screening for Odyssey

Alex Ramirez

BLEAAAAAAAAAAAACH!!! Thank you Kubo for creating Naru (pfp) for the upcoming Bleach mobile game. You never disappoint.

Zach D Law

I loved the Odyssey, phenomenal acting, great story, it looks great too.

Lance

Rukia truly has a phenomenal va in both sub and dub

KazumaSpitfire

I actually really like the Pesche dialogue with Ishida, but I'm also a sucker for that kind of comedy and understand that it's not for everyone

Alex Ramirez

TYBW is more than 100%. It's 200% because Kubo is adding in anime-canon content. Don't get that mixed up with filler.

Volt

Pesche is such a troll man, how do you get moved to tears by an imaginary sacrifice where all you did was get "hit" by a non lethal attack after saying leave my corpse behind lmao

AzorAhai

Jack you gotta stop asking for Bankai every 5 seconds in every fight lol just let it happen brotha

Bob Loblaw

The light is finally at the end of the tunnel, this filler-esque beginning to the arc is ALMOST done. Just a little more to crawl through, then all the feelings of doubt will start to go away ep by ep, until the same level of excitement of the Soul Society arc comes back every time "To be continued" hits the screen.

Erina

Rewatching Bleach with you guys made me realize how much Gege said copy and paste. The Rukia and (fake) Kaien reunion is literally the Gojo and (fake) Geto reunion. From the dialogue, to the memories, and the brain.

Trae Young Supremacist

another thing about tybw is even fights where it isnt main characters like ichigo the fights are just as good as ichigos main fights. all side characters get 10/10 fights

a_u_i_o

yes ! you can't set your expectations too high, tybw is just too much goated

AzorAhai

We're getting closer to where the momentum begins again, in my opinion once it begins again it doesn't hit another low for the rest of the series, and especially not for TYBW.

ThirtyStik

Tybw is peak so we have to endure 🫠

ThirtyStik

There is light at the end of the tunnel! Not to spoil but not much longer… we don’t have 100 episode spans of mud like others. On a side note, we have like 100 cannon episodes left!

Alex Ramirez

21:08 Fun fact: All the Espadas represent some aspect of death. Number 9's aspect is gluttony.

Maximum Homerdrive

I'm so happy you brought up the modern sounding dialogue. It took me out of what should've been an immersive experience at the theater.

Mufufu

We are close!!

Christian R Lewis-Batista

Flash step (Soul Reapers) - Fast physical movement. Sonido (Hollow) - Disappearance/reappearance of the physical body. Sort of a teleport. That’s why you hear that blip. Hirenkyaku (Quincy) - Manipulation of reshi for fast movement and other techniques

user216612

Like Carter said , one episode closer to peak. That will make the bad stuff feel "more" worth it in the end. Wont dispell it entirely but it will make the waiting more worth

stako

Nel took McKay out

SuperChuckABoo

ICL i might be in the minority, but Pesche was making me legit laugh lmao. Also ya'lls reaction to him was killing me. Thanks for the brightening the day up, Geks.

kuza

BLEACH

izykyzi

I also love Hange’s voice actress! She’s my absolute goat va, and she’s also the voice of Toshiro!

HaoHao 9

did you guys see the 70mm imax version

Zach D Law

Bleach has so much peak left, I like these episodes but in a couple of episodes we get back to non stop good to peak for a while! TYBW is everything the people are saying it is! Peak on peak on peak

shadowwalker

The Pesche VA is named Takehito Koyasu and he is the voice of Toji, Dio, Zeke, Aokiji, and a bunch of other super popular characters

Gibby

Gents, this is about the end of the not peak stretch. Pretty much all the rest is quite good in Hueco Mundo. And I can’t emphasize enough that TYBW is one of the best arcs in all of shonen. Much lore. Bleach’s most underrated arc too is episodes 342-366 just peak imo. Stick with it and you’ll be so satisfied. I put Bleach ahead of Naruto having read and watched both, personally 🔥

Jack

I like Greek mythology, loved Percy Jackson growing up. But despite that it still just didn’t hit, idk, maybe I need a rewatch

Jack

Hahahaha, no, I’m gone keep asking

Jack

👌🏼

Jack

I just don’t understand the love, it was good, but I don’t love the movie

Mack

Looking forward to that

Mitch

Yea for TYBW kubo basically had 10 years of time to plan and imagine what he would have done differently in the manga and was given full reigns to change anything he wanted for the anime. Extremely rare that a mangaka is given full creative freedom like he was given for TYBWs anime.

Nick K

You thought Pesche was the same voice as someone in JJK, but it was I, Dio! (Yes Pesche and Dio are actually the same voice)

Alex

I would agree that the pacing is slow as it doesn't cover a lot per episode at the moment - but some people are seemingly blaming the anime adaptation for stuff that is part of the source material, perhaps to deflect any criticism? Pretty much everything in episode 156 is from the manga. Pesche trying to peek at Sirruci's underwear, him having a hard time figuring out who Ichigo is, pushing Ishida out of the way to try and fight Sirruci, his infinite slick ability, the gag about Pesche running out of his infinite slick, and slipping in his own infinite slick. All of it is in the manga and is part of the fight. For anyone curious to compare check out chapters 256-257 (it ends at the same spot the anime episode ended so no spoilers): https://w43.bleach.live/manga/bleach-chapter-256/ https://w43.bleach.live/manga/bleach-chapter-257/

Bonny2132

The Bleach Abridged series really makes this muddy section more watchable, especially since it condenses the Rukia-Kaien fight without cutting away from it. I'd almost recommend temporarily switching to the Abridged version if it didn't spoil later plot points.

DonDuh103

I see another follower of Orochimaru and is an experiment of the House Of Evolution😭😭😭

The Black Promontory

Yeah, I agree! It's so silly, but he's the one character that actually made me laugh out loud in the show :) :D X'D

Justin ⟢

Need a binge bro I'm ngl

The Black Promontory

Lol yeah, true. No hate or shade intended, but seeing it for the first time immediately gave me, "oh, so this is Team 7 from Naruto (with a Madara level Kakashi) doing stuff in a Bleach-like universe" vibes.

Kai-lo

Yeah most of the time when I see people watch the Bleach anime for the first time this is always a part of the story I expect people to be not the biggest fan of passing wise but I doesn't last too long compared to the rest of the arc.

DonDuh103

I don’t think Ishida is attracted to a Thraxan ass crab-man😭😭😭

DonDuh103

I’m new to Bleach but that was exactly what I was thinking this episode😂😂😂

DonDuh103

GET OUT OF GETOS BODY KENJAKU! I mean Orochimaru, no Dio, Muzan, ahhh Michael Jackson😫😫😫 Sorry all these anime got me messed up with all these body snatchers😭😭😭

DonDuh103

How you suppose to take a movies character seriously when he’s over here saying mommy😂😂😂😂

DonDuh103

Dang that’s it we really almost finished with OG

Alexander

McKay always sick

Maj

The odyssey was fire imo, Sirens scene still gives me goosebumps I walked out of the film wanting to rewatch immediately

Lemonsqueeze

Ugh, i'll binge these in the future. Pacing is terrible

kuza

odyssey was HEAT yall buggin 😪

kuza

pesche is dio, aokiji, toji, zeke

kuza

pesche is funny idc 😭

Priyanshu Shukla

Regarding TYBW expect hype in animation, pacing, sound design i.e mainly in production side of things . As for other things beware of the hype.

Albdre

That was so bad omg

christopher

Yea I stopped reading Thousand-Year Blood War when it was first coming out really dint like it, came back for the ending of the show really good ending, loved it.

Alex Ramirez

We cannot be for real here... Most Bleach fans dont know that fact to this day and you're treating it as some serious spoiler...

MH3

You guys should make a quarantine room in your studio and they can film there 😆

ooAlmondMilk

Even if most people dont know about it, it doesnt change the fact that barragan explains it later on in the story, you’re not supposed to know this yet 🤷🏻‍♂️

ooAlmondMilk

Kaien’s sword is sick, I main him in bleach rebirth of souls and he’s really fun to use, his fighting style is so fluid 🌊

bigdog

YAWL HEARD WHAT MILEY SAID TEAM ITS THE CLIMMBBBB!!!! BLEACH IS SO GOOOOD!!!

Soulrebel0902

I like this arc a lot but the pacing of this arc isn’t very good to be honest. Odyssey was 9/10 movie in my opinion

Joao Pucci

I'm sorry but Pesche is top tier comedy

Alicia

Is it just me or does anyone else struggle with the sound quality? It’s always so quiet when you guys talk I can’t hear anything you say unless you scream, and then it’s too loud idk we gotta fix it I just don’t know how

AzorAhai

I'd give The Odyssey a conservative 9/10. Good but not great, it needed more.

Johnny

The comedy itself isn't the issue imo. It's the placement of it that takes tension out of the fight and halts any sort of momentum. That plus the obnoxious OST that plays every time Pesche opens his mouth makes it hard to take the fight seriously

jrnoodles

Thank you! Those two episodes were... something

LuvStarburst

I swear you guys have some terrible immune systems. I hope he gets better fast and that Cannon avoids this bug this time around. The higher the number the stronger the spells are and if you recite their incantation then the spell should be stronger as well. But if you guys remember when kuchiki used the soren katsui spell against renji and how big it was without the incantation compared to when rukia used it in this episode. The scaling is crazy different.

Jenny D

Yeah, the dialogue is rough at times. I like some of the humor, but a lot of it is a miss. I did like the Rukia and "Kaien" fight. The Ishida fight started of interesting, but just kinda fell off. I also have heard a lot about Odessey and wondered if it was worth it. I will probably wait until it shows up on one of the streaming apps.

Kadence

everybody hyping TYBW but i can think of countless moments in between now and then that will go hard

mathiasmedswag

yeah i really love bleach but as you said, unlike one piece and naruto, we can admit whenepisodes aint anything special, and at times quite bad. Yall can be real 100%😎 Im sure you guys know already but its so funny Pesche's voice actor is Zeke, Toji, Aokiji, Dio and so on and also Hange's voice actress is the voice of toshiro😂😭

mathiasmedswag

Du bist gut genug meaning "you are good enough" so peak🥺

Declan Palmer

i keep seeing clips of later episodes and thinking how fucking cool its going to be when you guys get to those parts.

mak

Pesche is voiced by Takehito Koyasu, the VA for Toji, Zeke and Dio

Bailey Jackson

I remember in the manga, the dialogue between Pesche and Uryu was (while almost the same word for word) better because the atmosphere(?) that Kubo drew was very different. I think because they wanted to stretch the episode out, they stretched out the dialogue, added camera angles and stuff so it's not as funny as it should have been. That's how I understood it anyway.

Alexander

This is basically like the thriller bark part of bleach before we get to saobody

Chayanne Acosta

The Odyssey had the same problem as the live action Death Note, the casting. If you wanted it lore accurate Light should have been a Japanese college student not white, and same for L. And you all can call me racist if you want but there definitely should have been certain actors not playing certain rolls like Zendaya being Athena for example, Athena should have been white. Moana did it right in this aspect.

DCMH

This arc is definitely an arc for sure

Chlo

to be fair, he IS the voice of someone in jjk too. takehito koyasu voices toji.

Chlo

yea i'm gonna have to unsub and come back after you've finished this portion of the show bc this section is a SLOG to get through with two episode drops lmao 😭😭 see yall again a bit later on when you've gotten a bit further in 🫡

Uncle Tsukishima

We're in the mud, but peak is coming. Very soon. Hold out until 161. 🙏

Justin ⟢

Just caught up with it yesterday and it's easily one of the most entertaining watches ever. The 'slower' episodes now will definitely pay off later.

Ернар

Gojo is closer to Urahara, tho. Kakashi seems more serious and not so arrogant and playful in serious situations.

Ернар

That pfp of yours is goated!

Arctic_stark

The Odyssey was great IMO, I’d rate it a 9-9.3. Some of the sequences were insane, the Cyclops and the Trojan Horse sequences will go down in cinema history. I think the quality of an Odyssey adaptation depends a lot on whether it can make you care about the homecoming and this movie knocks that out of the park. For the last third I was super invested in the movie, and Damon and Hathaway knocked it out of the park in their scenes at the climax.

Alex Ramirez

Thank you, Kubo knew when he created her for the upcoming Bleach mobile game that the fanbase would be obsessed. Kubo is the goat in making gorgeous women.

cade-carter

For shikai that are NOT sword variants we have gotten flying shuriken/a ball and chain/a spiked glove/a tri section staff/sword blade fragments/a blunt energy staff/a scythe/a flying monster/a scalpel/giant cleavers/a combat knife

Xen0n

I think the Pesche guy is the same VA as Dio and Toji

Syllas

With hindsight, I can say that I think Pesche and Dondochakka are funny, because I know what else the show has in store, but when I first watched Bleach, these moments were annoying too.. the only character that is an always will be annoying is Keigo.

Aidan Ross

Pesche is funny but that episode is by far the worst in the show. Could’ve been condensed into like 5 minutes but they made it a full episode. The pacing is not great atm but it will get better trust. The story is fine it’s just the pacing that makes it feel bad.

Tea_Lover

Maki vs Mai was also basically a copy paste of Soi fong vs yoruichi during the soul society arc. With the relationship dynamic and even the resolution of the fight being extremely similar.
