Yare yare daze and merci beaucoup s'il vous plaît commentary “With Toshiyuki Kato at the storyboard and direction, I knew that the episode was in good hands. The most important part of the episode is of course the fight between Jotaro and Polnareff. I was reminded how formidable the latter could be if he became an enemy. In the duel scene, the climax is evidently Jotaro being stabbed in the gut by the blade, then breaking it bit by bit at high speed. It's an emblematic passage for me, and it looks rather nice on screen. Also, there's Anubis trying to call to the crabs and fish at the very end. Yasunori Matsumoto's frenzied performance is truly formidable. The end of the episode is similar to that of Episode 26 as it also makes a transition with the next antagonist by presenting Mariah this time. We've also put here the manga's explanation about the different ethnic groups in Egypt, in particular the "Indian guy who had really nothing to do here". (laughs). I am sure no one in the audience had guessed that we'd go find this kind of seemingly useless scene. It would be forgetting that these details make Jojo's charm.” - Naokatsu Tsuda

Insane refresh pull i literally havent even made breakfast yet

Hobatty

yees i totally agree, at this point you kinda expect something more serious. That's the problem of part 3 for ME, but it gets better some... 4(?) eps ahead

Apollo

Cannon, if you want good Jotaro fanfic, there's a extremely famous one from CLAMP, a legendary group of all female manga artists; one of their many great feats was that of being the original character designers for Code Geass. This fanfic is basically an alternate universe where Jotaro and Kakyion get married, have sex and then Kakyoin lays an egg from which a child is born. I'm not making any of this up, though I'd suggest researching this after part 3 is over because googling it could possibly lead to spoilers. Enjoy the cursed knowledge.

Lulu

You guys need to be prepared; the next few episodes are going to be weird lol🤣🤣

Lulu

What in the world.....😭🤨

🩷🖤Kandy Kay🖤🩷

I love how you guys get like hypnotized over the ‘last train home’ ending lmao so unserious 😭 but jokes aside I get it it’s like genuinely a nice song so peaceful after all the bizarreness that occurs, I love it, I listened to it a lot so now all I get is the feeling of nostalgia every time I hear it.

Akodros

oh no, not Petes play pen

🩷🖤Kandy Kay🖤🩷

I would have to disagree with McKay, and agree with Carter because one thing about jojos is that it will never feel repetitive, araki can still pull off a monster of the week kind of writing, & get away with it, and it will never feel repetitive because of the true essence of the show being ‘BIZARRE’, like every episode is a completely new unpredictable stand & it gets you hooked because you don’t know what comes next, ig to each their own but it’s pretty fun being on a bizarre adventure and watching our MCs fight off new stands & bond more.

TheDirkiestDigg

The next two are peak Jojo's. Can't say the same for the next two.😓

🩷🖤Kandy Kay🖤🩷

Additionally, the concept of stands is absolutely brilliant because there are no limitations to it, you can literally write anything in existence within this show unlike other shows, araki really ate when he decided to turn this show from hamon power system to stands power system because now he can literally write anything he desires into the show and fulfill the bizarreness it always was meant to have, slay🧚🏻‍♀️

Akodros

I forgot how good this episode was. Notable animation jump this episode as well!

This is Daniel

I've now been blessed with seeing Pete's Playpen... as a millennial, I relate to the cringe. @McKay - don't worry, parts 4 & 5 definitely up the ante villain-wise.

Shiki

32:03 - a lot of the villains are jesters in stardust crusaders for sure, but there are some more peaks before Dio

Enma

In terms of what you were saying at the end there Mckay, I think you'll enjoy the next part a bit more in that aspect. But I will add that we havent quite finished this part yet!

peachy af

jack is reading jotaro fics on ao3??? we've come so far omg....

peachy af

it's been so long since ive been reminded of this fic dude i didnt think id find it under a studio gek reaction of all places

Oscar Medina

MY GOAT STAND IN THE NEXT EP #LETSGETREALLYGAY

atomicdog

I do personally think part 3 is the worst it gets for repetetiveness, I don't go in for any of the 'this part sucks', 'this part is the best' stuff but you can tell Araki is finding his feet with stands and also just with characters. But thats part of the watching experience, because it evolves so much as a story with Araki's sensibilities and confidence.

Henderson C

Lol realized the first sword weilder was Chaka and the second was Khan. Chaka Khan !!!

2026-10-07 05:00 This part definitely takes a lot of inspiration from Fist Of The North Star and other retro episodic animes in the way it handles it's antagonists. Just this army of corny ridiculous goons who gloat and brag just to get destroyed a few seconds later, that's your typical Fist Of The North Star episode (its also similar to what anime did back then in general: mazinger z, saint seyia, devilman,...) Jojo just makes it intentionally even more ridiculous and comedic, almost as if to parody these shows (although FOTN is already kinda insane in its own way) Ofc the other big difference of part 3 is that it also adds some genuine battle of wits, rather than a simple contest of raw strength. Even though the characters don't feel like they are in danger as much as in previous parts (which just comes with the episodic style of this part) it was still impossible for me to get bored with it considering how creative Araki got with this structure. Part 3 is in a class of its own when it comes to comedy, pop culture references, unique ideas for situations and clever payoffs. Personally I can't think of any other anime that suddenly decides to add a hanna-barbara tom and jerry style episode out of the blue.

Kayanolive

IM DYING WHAT WAS THAT VIDEO IN THE INTRO 😭😭😭😭

Kayanolive

YO GEKS!! This opening is sung by all the vocalists of the prior openings! If you listen for it you can totally hear it. Their temporary collab band was called JO☆STARS which has way too much aura

GreetswithJudgement

I love CLAMP! I never heard of this so thank you. Also hell nah lol

Kayanolive

Been a while since we had a fight like this! Sooo sick

Hobatty

Which tags do you think he read?🧐

Kayanolive

Nahh jojo always had goofy villains, stroheim, pillar man, dio to some extent in part 1 so idk if i would agree that part 3 is that much more goofy

Niko

Next episode is peak fiction btw

peachy af

mpreg, obviously

Grae

I think that was my favourite stand fight of the part so far

Grae

Tomorrow we will peek a glimpse of peak

Grae

Hey they asked for more bizarre 🤷‍♂️

DonDuh103

McKay you could try what Zak Efron did😂😂

DonDuh103

Anubis has General Mahoraga adapt technique

DonDuh103

Im curious where this story gos cause this first half of the arc is very repetitive, I’m enjoying it for what it is especially once we get some bizarre moments it’s more enjoyable. So far nothing story wise and no emotional beats this arc. Hope we get some sort of juicy lore or something soon, but I’ll just enjoy this silly one enemy after another for now.

TheDirkiestDigg

I will say there have been some emotional beats so far, mainly with Polnareff.

Yuion

What in the flying f did i just read

DonDuh103

It wasn’t hitting nearly as close to Ceaser. That’s what I mean about emotional beats like actual hits you.

Melon late

Watch one persons gonna make a fanfic of you guys and it will be disturbing and slightly funny

Kayanolive

Stuff with his sister did hit for me personally, and then all the guilt for avdol. The episode on that island hit for me. But yeah Part 3 should have some more moments like that i think

beannie

holy peak recommendation

Bracc

If McKay wants someone who’s not corny and gonna boast about how they are gonna win and there’s no way to defeat them then you will be very pleased when you get to the penultimate fight

GBuckets

You guys need to watch episodes 34-35, 44-45, and 46-48 together. Those are probably the best group of episodes of the show and MUST be watched together

GBuckets

The show get's really good around episode 34, the last 10ish episode stretch of the show starts to get serious. This part just went a different route and tried to do smaller episodic storylines instead of one ongoing storyline like the first 2 parts. Trust me the last stretch of the show gets serious

DonDuh103

I’ll trust the process👍

beannie

another reason why jack is the goat

Daniel

I felt this way the first time i watched it as well. After watching the full Part 3 I tend to appreciate these episodes more. Just enjoy the ride :)

TheDirkiestDigg

The comedy at the end is just typical Jojo fashion I would say. Not everything ever has been like that obviously, but there have been a lot of comedic moments thrown in at serious fights/scenes. Wamuu's death for example, one moment him and Joseph are having a great conversation and showing mutual respect, the next Wamuu is shooting his own head from a crossbow to kill vampires. It's peak

forthwanderer

but will they tho 😎 prolly not

kuza

alabasta ending song mention

kuza

so peak

kuza

that outro cliffhanger was not nice

Patchnose

The thing about this opening that makes it my absolute favorite is that it showcases Jojo's themes of Legacy. Not just in the lyrics but in the singing. The stories of Jonathan, Joseph and Jotaro are being brought to their heights, sung by the three singers of the last three openings at the same time. It's so hype to see everything we have worked for being wrapped up so beautifully. It's peak.

T.Yaseen

The Beerus slander is crazy, relax Carter

Zipzzty

What did the gamer say

Zipzzty

31:05 Beerus got peak Aura

Zipzzty

Alabasta ending is peak fr
