I think the lack of comments is because you’re doing one ep a drop and this part is super slow in the middle (as big of a fan that I am) so I think people might be watching them together versus 1 at a time or just waiting for you to get to the end…..sorta like what happened with Fishnan island. Hopefully you guys consider 2 ep drops for the next part. Like you do with Bleach and One Piece?

I understand that some people want double drops but I think 3 eps a week is fine for a 48 ep Part. It doesn't take that long and if one wishes, they can wait it out... Not really anyone's fault that the middle section of the series is not a fan favourite. However, I do think that if they want more engagement with the posts, advice like double drops might help

Part 3 just hits that phase where a bunch of episodes feel skippable on a rewatch because it leans so hard into monster of the week, even though we love the characters and the fights are creative. Part 3 also has the weakest episodes and stretches in all of JoJo imo, but we’re past those episodes now. So it’s normal that some batches barely got comments, but people always come back 100%.

i dont mind single episodes for jojos because the pacing is usually pretty good. this is the only part where it kinda drags. 4,5 and 6 are much tighter. double drops for the other shows are more valid because they have genuine terrible pacing.

When it comes to the fewer comments it’s honestly probably just because we’re in the middle of the longest part. When you start or end a part it will definitely pick up again (especially more plot focused ones). I also wanna thank the geks for reacting to JoJo. I’m not a fan of how some of the fans here are speaking to you guys in the comments and they need to have perspective that JoJo is one of many shows you guys record. I don’t want them to leave a bad taste in your mouth in regard to JoJo itself and the community. It’s supposed to be an enjoyable show. @Carter - Joseph Joestar is definitely a top tier Jojo. His noticeable change from part 2 - 3 is that he lost his charm and gained funny one liners / curses 🤬. Oh, that cascade of reactions to the bath scene were hilarious. Also agree with Cannon, kidnapping is never ok. Loving Jack's Loreal moment, styled out into an apt Jojo's pose... didn't know I needed that, but very grateful. PS - shoutout to McKay laughing at that child getting punched. I saw you, I'm judging 🤭

You see how this looks, right? Commentary “When Polnareff pursues Alessi through the alleys, he's shrinking little by little. This scene is similar to Episode 1 where Holy runs across the prison to go see her son. It's a mix of 3D effects and drawing, which is very difficult to pull off. Even more so because you have to change the animation as Polnareff becomes tinier. It was a real ordeal for the whole team. If there's something unforgettable in the episode, it would be the sexy bath scene. On one side, the humor of Polnareff who is a child again, and then the lightly risqué touches while never falling into vulgarity. There's also these soap bubbles floating in the bathroom, which I'm sure some of you will feel you've seen them somewhere before. I won't tell you where. (laughs) The scene where Iggy is peacefully strolling across town was added in the anime. He steals a kebab directly from a passerby's hands and watches the fight between Joseph and Avdol against Mariah without batting an eyelid... He's doing whatever he feels like. kind of a hot take but i look at old Joseph as a pretty natural progression coming off of young Joseph. He’s still the witty cunning man he used to be, just a little older and slower. Obviously he’s not the main character anymore so ofc he’s not gonna have the shine he used to, but we do continue to get those tidbits of geniusness which made the old Joseph so cool. You also gotta keep in mind that Joseph was like 18 during Battle Tendency. I doubt there are many people who are the same at 60+ than they were when they were 18.

The whole "Jotaro didn't recognize Polnareff" thing is basically like "why does no one recognize Clark Kent". It's ridiculous but the show's just saying "play along, it doesn't matter". It's a tacit wink at the audience saying "you've seen this before and you know how it goes" The same goes for the fact they never immediately recognize other stand users despite the fact they stick out so much from the others. When you see Alessi you shouldn't even wait for him to follow you to know he's a stand user considering how much he sticks out.

I'm actually surprisingly fine with it, even though I was also a double drop supporter beforehand. In fact, I kind of feel now that I prefer the single drops BECAUSE they have been so frequent. Please think about how their frequency is much higher than most reactors.

The lack of comments and engament, guys, I would say is due to the pace. 1 episode at a time is just too slow. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it, but the pacing may kill the hype for some and make arcs that are not that good (like this one) even more tiresome.

I love a binge, but the single drops are completely fine, guys! I don't see the point in trying to rush content just because some people might want to see it sooner. These past few episodes haven't exactly been fan favorites and, tbh, they don't leave that much to discuss, which I think naturally drives the comments down. I personally love reading everyone's takes on the episodes and your commentary, so I definitely miss that when there isn't as much discussion! Not that that's necessarily the reason for the fewer comments, just an observation. But it truly does get better from here! I can't wait for the rest of this part the next few episodes are great and the following parts have Amazing moments and characters too! 🙌 💜

One episode drops arent truly an ISSUE, its moreso just frustrating because as viewers of you guys and rewatchers of jojo, we know how painful this stretch gets for jojos and we have that doubt in the back of our heads they you guys wont enjoy the show as much if youre watching one episode at a time. Ofc theres also the fact that we cant wait to see your reactions and when its only 3 per week ontop of the fact that this stretch feels like filler, it makes you think "hey this is a full week of mid episodes" so people comment things like watch 2 or 3 episodes per video as youd get past the stretch fast and go back to one episode drops when jojo picks up again. Good thing is that once ur done with this stretch you wont have to worry about a dry zone like this.

Parasyte is a juicy tier show so maybe if people ask kindly Geks will only do 1ep of what ever new Juicy Tier show they start and give double to Jojo but also might not cause that tier cost more if I’m correct so wouldn’t be fair to them. Personally for me, I wouldn't separate his older self from his younger self as a character. However, when I talk about them as Jojo's, I am typically looking at the part where they are THE Jojo. Old Joseph is still Joseph, but if I wanted to compare Joseph to Jonathan or Jotaro as to who was the better Jojo, I would only look at his younger self in Part 2.

I think Joseph has had a pretty natural progression, dude was 18 in part 2 and 68 now. He has same core elements which are hard to change, so he likes to goof around and is still a clown but also feels a bit more responsible and has cut off the most insane things as he now is a married guy with a grandchild. Also, he doesn't participate in fights as actively because even tho hamon keeps you a little more youthful and he is fit for a 68 year old, he still is an old guy with slight natural regression in physical and cognitive abilities. To me it would feel weird if he was the exact same person or completely different like acting like Jotaro, I think he hits the perfect middle row where he has the same core but is more mature

A lot of people are saying that double drops are necessary to maintain the hype, but I kinda disagree. That 2/3 of the season is ass (I personally am just waiting for it to get to the end, which becomes peak again), but the other parts are just fine. There’s no need for that. Parts 1 and 2 were fun to follow, and I would look forward to the days when the drops happened. This is getting tiring for fans to rewatch, but I’m sure there will be more comments soon.

I would call this two parter one of Araki's rare misses. I understand what he was going for and it's intentional to make the viewer uncomfortable. I think it's effective but it's not something I actually want to watch. The ending of the next episode is amazing but this two parter is easily my least favorite. No one is ready for Alessi.
