I watched JLTAS a ton as a kid I will say the casting for Hal and John seem perfect and their chemistry is interesting. But I'm getting tons of red flags for everything else. Reminds of the Witcher show weird vibes. I'll stick it out for now.

I think you need to start coming to terms with your opinion does not always equal the general opinion on things lol because that's now 2 examples of something reviewed well and considered good by the majority that youre claiming is the opposite in the general consensus. Of course you dont have to agree with anyone at the end of the day, but lets not sell your point as the general opinion as well lol I got plenty of popular shows that I think are shit, but I'm not telling people that it didnt do well or is "famously awful".

I have seen a handful of valid critiques about the show but 90% of the time I have seen people claim the show is completely bad online, they are either media illiterate or they are hateful against certain groups of people.

I never claimed it is the majority opinion, in fact quite the reverse most people liked spiderman or superman or aparently this show heavens knows why. However all these series are thinly written slop at best, with poorly conceived character writing and truely mindnumbingly dumb plots. Anyone who has spent anytime in the discussion space of these films/shows would have heard these criticisms in more detail. I was simply surprised that the geks would react to something so lacking in quality, but apparently the general audience is still eating up bad shows again, same with more recent hod.

Wow, so glad we're getting Lanterns. I'm a loose fan of the Green Lantern mythos; and did a deep dive via Rob aka: Comic's Explained on YouTube. There's a great story, ie The Blackest Night, which would be a great deep dive and possible spoiler into the wider universe. Great pilot episode, looking forward to the next one 😀
