nourah

Tyreese's recklessness pissing me off istg

Pudding

I'm watching this before sleep

Anya

Talkin bout Jack and his gameplay lmao ik yall love League but pls I hope yall also play some horror games together or even do solo streams it's perfect for spooky season!

Stairguy

Carol believes in the nuclear option

Anya

Hmm I think so far Rick is the best leader and I'd want to be a part of his group he has that balance that others don't have

Ceci

LMAOOOO

Stairguy

WD is good at creating moral dilemmas. Carol's reasoning "sounds" great but mainly if you are coming from her perspective. They have shown her actions this season as a direct result of losing Sophia and how. She slowly drifted into the Shane camp of eliminating a threat quickly before they hurt someone you love.

Ceci

I just want to comment on the banger song at the end of the episode lol

Anya

Noo it's breakfast time!

Rick definitely made the right choice and I'd much rather be in his group, but it's still really sad. More than anything I feel bad for Rick having to make those decisions at all. Heavy burden fr

nourah

Tell me something Daryl does and it’s not hot

jrnoodles

Thanks Geks! Daryl is gonna be pissed for sure

nourah

Rick definitely made the right call but it’s sad, Carol has been there since day one and she's my girl, this totally sucks!

Jack

😂 W Comment

Mary

Very true, I agree, he really balances morality with survival, & he’s truly earned his loyalty from his group rather than demanding it, like he’s really shown his capability in difficult situations rather than trying to claim authority, which I love. Also, I feel like even when the group challenges his decisions at times, he still listens, he doesn’t simply demand that they follow his orders. All of this to say, I agree with your point, he’s truly a brilliant leader, IMO so far, since I haven’t watched further than S4.

L1Lt03NA1L

TAAAAIIIINNNTTTTEEEEEDDDD MEEEEEAAATTTTTTTTTT pt 2

Mary

This is very true, like similar to Shane, Shane would consistently frame his ruthlessness as his way of protecting Lori & Carl, & also the group, like he genuinely believed that he was doing what was best for the group. By Carol killing Karen & David, she frames her actions in a very similar manner, by justifying it to Rick as her way of protecting the rest of the group from being infected. In a way, both characters position their characters as being the “necessary” members the group needs to keep danger away. I really like this parallel that they’ve added in this Season, & I agree, it’s showing a very similar pattern between Carol & Shane in this way.

Marvin Muffin

The guy Carol & Rick run into plays the Penguin on Gotham.

Pudding

☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️I am unhappy about this.

Anya

Yess exactly you explained it perfectly! Omg buckle up Mary you're in for a ride s5 is one of the best imo enjoy!!

Pudding

😭you're capable of eating in front of this show? I wish I could, I eat in front of every other gek show but this one lmao

kami

When I watched it live, I spent quite a while angry at Rick

Mary

As sad as it is, I definitely think that Rick did the correct thing by banishing Carol. I feel like if he’d simply allowed Carol’s actions to be unaddressed, it would’ve set a precedent that any member of the group who decides that a person is a threat can act as an executioner, including Rick, which I feel is something he’s trying very hard to avoid becoming. Also, Rick knew that if Tyrese discovered the truth, it would’ve triggered a violent reaction that could’ve honestly, resulted in a lot of damage for the group, or even have resulted in Carol, or additional members of the group, being killed in retaliation. Rick’s decision to exile Carol was his way of defusing that very plausible situation.

George B

Imagine Carol goes back, Ty finds out and does something to her, then Daryl does something to Ty... then Sasha to Daryl, could become a whole chain of events of if she stays

Mary

TY 😊, I’m actually a little scared, LOL 😹, but I’ve heard that similar to S4, S5 is also great. But, we’ll see 🙃.

Dylan

Carol really is developing that Shane mentality. Now obviously Carol is much more down-to-earth and composed, i always think back to that quote in 2x10 “Rick you can’t just be the good guy and expect to live, okay not anymore” the mindset of certain characters is so well written in this show 💯

Ayaulym🇰🇿

I love this season so much more on the rewatch. Carter was right about it sometimes feeling like season 2, because again the forefront plot is human lives. And it is an interesting decision for Rick to make because during his “crazy” days he might’ve let it slide

Mary

So true, I genuinely love watching her speaking freely & acting a bit softer, especially with Daryl in particular this episode. I feel like a lot of her trust that she’s developed with Daryl so far is particularly because he’s seen her at a very vulnerable position, after Woodbury & Andrea’s passing, & he’s never criticized her decisions. Also, I feel like his approach to her is a lot different in comparison to say, Rick at times, where he doesn’t pressure her into speaking & he doesn’t demand her to express her feelings on certain things, his approach is a lot quieter & gentle with her, I feel like. Also, I feel like a lot of their trust is built on the foundation that they instinctively understand that they’re both incredibly strong survivors. Overall, I agree, I love watching Michonne acting softer & lighter, in comparison to when she first joined the group.

Ayaulym🇰🇿

Also even when person gets bitten you don’t knife your own like some animals. What Carol did was so cruel and you can see Rick watching her this episode and re-analyzing everything she says with new perspective. She is clearly dividing people into “us” vs “them” situation. That’s why she was easily able to kill those 2, because she didn’t consider them part pf her family. While this mindset is not necessarily bad you can see how much cruel she can be towards any people and that makes her dangerous. It’s one thing to do that with an opposing group and it’s another to have that for literally everyone else

Silentwtf

new war type game dropped, would be sick to see u guys stream it, its called wardogs, ive been addicted

DietCocaine

I’m sorry I had to watch ahead because it’s just so peak but still excited to see y’all’s reactions

Mary

It’s weird to think that perhaps, it’s only a possibility but perhaps if we were back in S3, that Rick would’ve overlooked Carol’s actions of killing Karen & David. It’s only a possibility, since he was hallucinating Lori, becoming withdrawn from the group & all, & dictating decisions without consulting the rest of the group. However, in S4, he actively stepped back from the decision process for the group, he started farming, & shifted the decision process to the rest of the group (The Council), which is interesting. Also, I feel like in S3, Rick’s ruthlessness was primarily targeted at external threats, like at Woodbury & the Governer, but in contrast, Carol’s killings were from within the group, or the community that they’ve created, a person from his group acting as executioner simply because they trust they’re doing the correct thing. All this to say, I feel like he’s trying to show that he’s a good leader without the need to be a dictator again.

Ante

Season 4 is cooking, holy... I live for these character moments.

Mary

This is very true, despite the fact that I really like Carol as a character, in reality, she killed two sick, defenseless characters simply because she believed they’d be dangerous, without bringing this matter to discussion with the rest of the group.

Mary

This is so true, my heart was actually hurting when she said, “Rick, it’s me”, & she started tearing up a little. It’s Carol reminding Rick that she’s the person who’d rarely express her thoughts or say anything, in general back in S1, & she’s the also person who’d flinch when Ed was near. That person is now standing up to him, & isn’t even slightly apologetic for what she’s done. There’s such a quiet devastation in her voice, like you can feel that she’s hoping that their shared history will be meaningful to him, that it’ll matter to him, but in the end, it doesn’t, it’s genuinely heartbreaking.

Jacob Martinez

It sucks that carol had to go, but I have peace of mind that she is not at least dead

Mia Malvik ⚞ • ⚟

Ok I actually struggle with this too lmaoo I just have to look away if there's a super gross scene. Also some food is easier to eat than others. Pasta w tomato sauce is a no go 😂

nourah

I know! It’s genuinely heartbreaking, but at the same time what she did was completely unjustifiable, yes she was trying to prevent a bigger outbreak, but it was still wrong, however you can see why she did it after losing Sophia she learned from her past mistakes Instead of just crying, hoping, and waiting she takes action now. And it’s so hard on Rick too she's one of them, and he's kinda saving her life because if Tyreese finds out she killed them it would be an absolute mess. And don’t even get me started on when Daryl finds out It's just so complicated and sad ugh!

Jessica

hahahah Mia I swear I’m your biggest fan

Jessica

McKay seriously it’s night time…

nourah

This show is so peak! My adrenaline is pumping every time I remember the upcoming seasons and events, god I could watch 10 episodes a day with y'all and never get bored

Anya

Yes I agree with everything you wrote! Both are the strong and silent type always on survival mode so it's always nice to see them joke or have conversations! Daryl has always been empathetic especially towards those who suffer and I think part of it is because of his upbringing so he's more understanding. He's the goat I frickin love him!

TheSauceGuy

Sucks that the two people Rick and Carol found didn't fire their guns at all for some reason. Maybe Rick and Carol could've helped them in time. Regardless, they should've stayed inside for the time being, considering their lack of experience.

TheSauceGuy

Norman Reedus is a phenomenal actor imo lol, or at least really good at his niche.

❦

im too impatient i need the whole season

bailey harris

Idk carol… if you’re making a decision in secret, it’s probably not the right call. Still sad tho 🥲

a_daichi

the detour at the house with the couple basically solidified rick's decision. he saw how easy it was for carol to use the couple knowing how weak they were and that they can't fight. parallels to karen and david. they were sick and defenseless. her and rick could have easily swept the houses themselves but her offering them up was just to use them (at least in my eyes) now with letting them go out, they didn't make it when they could've if they stayed in the house.

a_daichi

unless I'm reading it wrong

Mary

Very true, I agree, it’s true that it’s extremely terrible what Carol did, she killed two sick, defenseless characters under the assumption that they’d be dangerous to the rest of the group, there isn’t any way to justify her actions at all, as difficult as that is since she’s been such a great character in the show. However, I also agree with your point regarding Sophia & how Carol probably has regrets about what happened to her daughter, thinking about what she could’ve done differently to protect her daughter, back then, it’s truly such a conflicting situation. Again, it isn’t possible to defend her actions, since she ruthlessly killed two characters, however, simply to understand her thinking process in this situation, I think it’s possible to believe that she was probably viewing Lizzie & Mika as her daughters, probably believing that it’s her duty to protect the children at every step. Overall, it’s just such a difficult & conflicting situation, however, I truly agree with all your points, I think it’s crucial to understand Rick’s perspective, as well as Carol’s as to why she decided to do what she did.

Mary

Yes, very true, I also feel so relieved with the knowledge that she’s still alive, that nothing happened to her, because I definitely feel very strongly about Rick’s argument, that Tyrese would’ve definitely harmed her or, even killed her if he’d discovered the truth. So thankfully, that isn’t going to happen.

a_daichi

"I love these scenes", "look at that camera", "look at that grain" - you guys get it!!! twd does those slowed down, quiet moments with the camera quality and tones so well. always appreciated that

Mary

Also, that’s also very true what you said about Daryl, I can’t even start to think of his devastation once he discovers what happened, he truly found a friend in Carol, happiness, a person who could understand him in ways the rest of the group couldn’t, & now with her being exiled, it’s going to be extremely difficult for him, I feel, he truly cherishes the friendship he has with Carol, even if he doesn’t say it. It’s going to be extremely devastating for him, truly.

Jack

everyone like so they see the hype haha

Maxschmax

This hurts so bad

Dorsia's Media Critique

I wonder if anyone has ever said "hear me out" when talking about Ed. That's definitely worse than Merle or Phillip.

Conk

Sometimes I wish I was transported into the Walking Dead universe so I can use a katana and show Michonne how it's done. I'd be a one-man army clearing walkers out of every building day by day, I'd end the apocalypse all by myself with a katana.

Blueberry

No, I read it as that too.

nourah

I think from a show perspective rather than a human one, Carol needed this. She was always under the group's shadow, waiting to be protected, and now she’s the one doing the protecting. Her character development is so satisfying honestly , everyone in the show goes through a moment that changes them, and it was finally time for her turn It was a long time coming!

nourah

Fr! I love their friendship and dynamic, and how she’s the one who can actually make Daryl smile they’re so wholesome. But it’s so hard to keep watching the show take away everything he loves like give this man his flowers already!

Mack

They use to play it on stream it was fun I think it was dead by daylight

Mack

Time zone exist mate

DonDuh103

Why do some of the zombies know gorilla warfare and just jump out of nowhere without making any noise😂😂 I guess once you turn your stealth stat increases😂😂

DonDuh103

Daryl just mad-dogged the shizz out of Bob😬😬

Anya

Aww I missed it hope they bring it back this year!

Arthur Fields

I watched that show. Probably the one thing that shocked me the most in that show was done by Penguin in S4.

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨❤️‍🔥

35:10 no facts, i always think that lol 😭 like hell yeah im gonna fill the bags up if we got the space and a home base to put it all! im also constantly putting myself over carrying capacity and shoving stuff onto my party in games lol...it comes in handy cuz even the cheap stuff adds up when u sell it ok? lmaoo

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨❤️‍🔥

having no meds in the bag too is crazy work, but i always feel real bad for bob :(( hes got an addiction in an apocalypse where it can only be just that much more tempting to fall into and try and find comfort in something

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨❤️‍🔥

i actually dont know if id ever thought of it that way before, but thats a good point, damn 😮‍💨 love us some media literacy

Anya

SEND ME A POSTCARD 😂

Katie

Don't know if others have mentioned but you guys are safe to watch the first bad lip reading of the walking dead. It contains up to season 3. It was hilarious back in the day, don't know if it'll hold up, but my friends and I still quote it so often for how old it is 😂

Frosty

wow, i never could have seen that coming with this caption!

Gravy

Hey fellas I sent a package to the PO Box it’s been chillin since Friday but it says it needs to be picked up by Oct 2nd or it will be sent back to me. Hopefully yall get it! If not I’ll be 0-2 for sending fan mail 🤣

jasmin

yall putting carol actions on bob was interesting cause it makes you think if it was bob or almost anybody else fans wouldn’t be giving the character as much empathy and nuance as carol

jasmin

going from “get over it” to tearfully saying she messed up in less time than a dominos delivery

Enma

Daryl licks his hands and fingers way too much for my liking.

Ainsley Chang

pretty pretty please watch 4x5 and 6 together, same for 7 and 8!!

Sari-chan

When Carol said "Just accept it" She was referring to accepting the reality of it. Not just let me do whatever I want. He has not spoken about it because he has not processed it. She wants him to understand that just like he had to take decisions without knowing if it was right or wrong, they did the "right" thing by just taking a decision and taking action. They do not have the luxury of time or to see it through the end to take the "right" decision. The only thing that has been saving them is how quick they take decisions and stick to it.

Sari-chan

I mean Bob is an addict and during hard times (like the walker apocalypse) it would realistically get worse. It sucks but addiction will make you lose friends and family, even your own life because it is a sickness that makes you make the wrong decision every single time.

Sari-chan

Stap! It's too funny!!!

Sari-chan

Yes, it is a little like how introverts are so much more comfortable speaking their minds with other introverts

Sari-chan

Oooh yea, I felt the heat

Sari-chan

Sasha could never take Daryl down but she could try lol

Sari-chan

I wished she has not done it in the shadow. If you take a decision, be open about it. They were already isolated, no need to do shady stuff and burned them before they got to say their goodbyes.

Sari-chan

I did not see it that way but I really love hearing from other perspectives! I thought Rick's questions are his test, but Carol's test is to see if they could assess risks correctly and help the community if they were to join. Turns out they could not, the guy left his partner behind, did not shoot their guns and could not come back within the time frame.

Sari-chan

Yea Bob's addiction sucks!!

Sari-chan

Yea I was biased immediately lol

Sari-chan

I think I am heartless because I felt that they could never make it. First of all WAY too friendly. lol Secondly, if my leg is hurt, I am staying put. Even at peak conditions, walkers can be tricky to survive.

Sari-chan

Yes, the rest of her decision, depending on who's asking, kinda understandable. The shady aspect of it, NAH. You are suddenly not trustworthy anymore.

Sari-chan

For real, some are sneaky!! You'd think the pungent smell and growl would consistent

Sari-chan

Oh mansplaining her, huh?

Sari-chan

She is a real American!

Saki 🏴‍☠️✨❤️‍🔥

@sari realistically it is kinda hard to imagine them lasting very long! but at the same time they have already survived years into the apocalypse, and if they had gotten to the prison they still coulda had more time 🥹 where im sure the others wouldve been able able to train up their combat instincts at least a lil bittt

MaraReaper

I just got home myself, hope it drops soon 🤧 I gotta have something to eat my ice cream to lmao

Conk

Why would you assume Im a man

❦

IS IT COMING OUT TODAY?

❦

YES YES PLEASE

Alan

Dude the song at the end of ep so good

Garreth

Yeah but DbD is a terrible game for new players. And the gameplay loop is stale until you put enough hours in to enjoy the "looping".

Anya

Aww yeah I'm fine with anything just something different from League lol

Julio cruz

Was trying to remember why that kid with the blonde hair looks familiar, he plays the Penguin in the Gotham series!
