The power of The World is extraordinary, but the senator's reaction makes the scene more comical than tense. Kakyoin takes the lead and attacks DIO with his Emerald Splash. Seeing as McKay posted that Kakyoin image, I see you guys are past the next episode. I hope you guys don't get the anime-only question in the Jotaro vs DIO fight. Clarification for the JoJo fans that already watched the fight (Spoilers): I hope they understand that Jotaro and DIO are not actually flying in their fight, but that they are launching themselves with their stands. Anime time makes this fight look like they're flying across the street.

She didn’t really have a purpose anyway, so it’s not that big of a deal imo. But it still sucks that Araki had to listen to the editors instead of his own potential vision for her character tho

Nah we still hating on editors in the big 2k26? Editors were cooking imo. The character was cool but having a kid persisting in the group kinda screwed with the vibes of a dangerous journey. I like the idea of this character just randomly appearing in a few fights on their journey.

@JeanJean I’m not really hating on the editors. It’s just Araki’s work, so them changing his vision is kinda annoying. I agree with what u said about her character, but Araki probably could’ve cooked something up for her, especially considering all the other stuff he’s cooked up in JoJo. I don’t mind her role in Part 3 tho, but the potential was definitely there

Spoilers I mean obviously they'll ask that question, cause there's no specific reason given. Still, are they really just hitting stuff in the manga? I read it and I feel like the manga makes it kinda ambiguous too. There's no real moment where Araki establishes that "yeah the characters aren't flying, they are just hitting stuff". Most of the time we do see them fly around and float just like in the anime. So idk where the community established that this was only the case in the anime. I've looked for explanations given by Araki and I found none.

These same monologues/speeches/arguments reframe submission as loyalty and manufacture an illusion of choice; where its fabricated to make one choice feel like liberation and prosperity, while on the other end, its continued uncertainty and s uff ering. This makes surrendering the natural and rational choice. Polnareff, who is a very strong willed individual, even his own subconscious was trying to submit to Dio. That must have been terrifying that your own body is fighting to surrender to the man responsible for not only your suffering but also the suffering of many. And with every step you try to take backwards, the resistance grows frightfully heavier and more difficult. Honestly, the topics of the monologue raised were pretty interesting. It makes us think about and ask ourselves some intriguing questions, "Is the ultimate goal for a person to become peace of mind or have a sense of security? Do we live our lives in some sort of anxious or even fearful state that we might not be able to escape? Or even if we did, how long will that peace last?" If you could live without fear or suffering, would that be enough to sacrifice your own agency and freedom to?

In response to Cannon, you are below halfway done with JoJo's. It's about 190 episodes, and once you finish part 3, that will be episode 74. With Steel Ball Run starting again on Friday, that episode count will only grow. The manga is actually a decent chunk longer than one piece page count wise, but it's just adapted with way better pacing. It will probably be close to 300 episodes long once parts 7 and 8 are adapted
