It's a shame that this episodes get "sacrificed" for the future content. It makes sense from a business perspective, putting your time and resources in your best material, but it sucks cause soi fon gets the short end of the stick. Characters like omaeda can be entertaining, funny and making us laugh, unfortunately the anime doesn't try too much and the manga itself isn't amazing, just good.

Gosh i forgot how bad these episodes are... i think around this time the anime was getting very close to catching up to the manga hence obviously all the padding. There's more padding to come of course but next few episodes will be consistently better, from what i remember that was the worst of the burger lol 💀

This fight was like 3 chapters in manga, so stretching it to 2 full anime episodes is crazy work. Still not as bad as late one piece but definitely hard.

Sadly this is the reality of OG Bleach. Reminder to always yap about OG Bleach getting a remake, whenever you get the chance! Just imagine getting these fights and moments in Kubo's vision with TYBW animation and artstyle. On another note, there is a few upcoming moments that are better watched in 3s, but instead of asking for that I'd like to add my vote to the suggestion of folks who are telling you to watch 269-272 together! We are aware this is 4 episodes, but as part of the deal you could skip the next upload date and continue regularly with the one after. Of course, nothing is mandatory... just a suggestion, so that all of us together can have a better watch experience.

In the mud... but for a very very short time. We just had Hisagi cinema, dog cinema, Kira cinema. Some mud was bound to happen, but the anime padded on with filler, burger OST and terrible pacing made it even worse. But we keep moving forward. I still like the idea of Omaeda as a character, but the anime just fked up his character and the execution with these episodes.

Also, this burger stuff you speak of is sometimes just who a character is. Omaeda and Kon are always gonna be comedic to a degree- Soifon was assessing her opponents strength because it was the first time she fought an Arrancar and yall didn’t catch that. Going slow at the beginning of a fight is to assess your opponents strength so you don’t get mopped, it’s not an anime trope- it’s just how fights go.

Expected reaction from the Geks. I knew Omaeda would ruin the mood lol, everyone hated him in OG Bleach lmao. Most of the "bad" in Bleach has been passed thankfully. There are still a few burger moments but 90-95% of the show from here on out I'd say is non-burger. After the next 2 episodes, the Zanpakuto Tales filler arc begins, so you want to pick back up on episode 266. After the upcoming filler arc its time to lock in, can't wait.

A lot of these fights were dragged out to fill one episode. All of them from Charlotte VS Yumichika, Izuru vs Abirama, and Hisagi vs Findor all had extra scenes added to extend the fight to fill one episodes also.

Honestly, I feel that part of it probably comes from the disconnect of languages as well. Ultimately, it's just "noises" to someone that doesn't speak the language, so if it is somewhat annoying, it can be even more grating.

I feel like Carter really has no bad takes on the shows i've seen him react to, but that's just my opinion. Cannon, Grimjoww only had the one release. The first time you guys see the 2nd squads lieutenant's sword release is when they try to stop Renji from running away with Rukia in the Soul Society arc, and Ichigo stopped the 3 of them with his bare hands. Also, I will say this but at least you guys don't get a episode like this then have to wait a week and still have to sit through this bullshit of a fight.

I would HIGHLY recommend doing 224-226 in one go (This is covers the whole next fight) 266-268 has a bit of mud, better to get through it quick too. Then 269-271 NEEDS to be watched in one go (Real PEAK).
