I think you guys misinterpreted Keicho's line about the worse the person the better the stand, It is true but only because a stands power is dictated by the users willpower, Joseph explained this in part 3. It's why Holly was getting harmed by her stand and we also see people like Jotaro and Josuke who are beacons of righteousness but have ridiculous power. He targets criminals because they usually have strong willpowers to be able to do their heinous acts and he doesn't personally know Koichi's character so It's not like he was targeting a weak willed person (even though as we can see he does lack it a bit).

The localized names get so ridiculous even if you don’t immediately realize what the original name is. I know everyone’s pushiness can make it sound like a chore, but trying to figure out who or what the stand name is referencing is a pretty fun part of seeing Jojo’s reactions.

Echoing what everyone else is saying, ignore the written subtitle for stands going forward, and listen to the accurate name spoken out loud by the characters. The subtitle will say “shining diamond”, but Josuke is saying “Crazy Diamond”. This principle persists for the rest of the series btw.

From what I read. When Josuke is upset his restoration can become warped or improper so I’m pretty sure that’s why. After Josuke’s Granpda died you could see his furniture all twisted and oddly shaped because he broke and fixed them while he was upset.

The compositing team went through hell for this Stand, so when I told them that I liked it, it was mostly to encourage them. In regards to the story, the Nijimura house's layout is particularly interesting. A house with three floors is quite rare, and there's these long stairs where a significant part of the plot progression occurs. Of course, the fight needed meticulous attention, with its subtle use of the house’s obscurity. Keicho Nijimura also left a good impression at the end. As expected of a character that is often placed in the top 3 "big brother figures" in JoJo. Okuyasu and him make a heck of a pair. His little brother finds himself in the line of fire? No matter, let’s shoot him in the face, “pew pew pew!” (laughs). Keicho’s lines are also a little crazy. “Is this your first time”, he says to Koichi when he awakens his Stand. Of course that’s his first time! You just shot him with an arrow (laughs)! The CD Drama also has a few of my favorite lines. In short, I really do like this character. In this duology of episode 3 and 4, Josuke plays the main character in a very cool way, which seems perfect for his role. It isn't even just the names in this case though, they just plain out have mistakes at several points There was a couple last episode, and a few this as well, with one of those this episode having Josuke call Keicho "Bro" when he refers to him as "Okuyasu's bro" It's kind of just nitpicking, but it's pretty odd that they've seemingly gotten worse in quality in general this season, and not just because of the copyright thing.

Regarding people obtaining stands: In part 3, we learned most stand users are natural born, but are rare for the population; most non-stand users unable to see the stand and calling the abilities psychic. Some develop stands later, usually due to supernatural influence. In part 3, this was DIO via the arrow, but the other jostars also gained stands due to DIO's whack vampire blood, and his repossessed body of Jonathan Jostar. For the stand arrow: based on what we've seen with Angelo and Koichi, getting shot with the arrow at first glance appears to create a binary situation: you either gain a stand, or the arrow shot kills you. I'd argue an alternate hypothesis: in part 3, we've seen that it takes certain traits or mindsets to control a stand (star platinum was somewhat independent of Jotaro until he learned more and actively tried controlling it.) Holly was almost killed by her own developing stand, due to her personality and mindset not allowing her to control it (the will to fight). I'd argue that the arrow gives the target a stand no matter what, but that the stand manifesting may end up killing the user, causing the death. However: Josuke has the ability to heal wounds, and can thus prevent Koichi from dying to his stand, defaulting him to passing this gate and gaining control.

What I love with Koichi's design is that he's supposed to be around 5' tall, but is always depicted as if he were 3' tall. Perfectly shown when he's standing next to Josuke, who's 5'11"~6', and only reaching up to his waist.

The problem with authentic subtitles is that they don't always capture character names and sound effects. Same thing happened on Nicholas Light's channel; and it was more confusing. Crunchyroll is the best compromise IMO.

man once we got deeper into the music era of jojo stands became so fun. i used to watch meti not the bad guy and his series where he breaks down stand names and their references and how the relate to the user were so fun to watch. loved his "beauty of' series too
