Early PEAK

Drake DP

My favorite fall activity is watching episodes 8 and 9 of Jojos Bizarre Adventure Diamond Is Unbreakable, back to back, and uploading the reaction as a joint upload! Now ya gotta do it, sorry, you made the rules.

Warsame

McKay I can’t💀😭😭

Sg

Koichi's stand stuck a "squish" SFX so it sounded like the eyeball was gouged out but we see that pencil was in his cheek. Basically tricjed them into thinking he was knocked out

JayCnY

looks at notifications hoping its bleach its actually jojo :( checks last bleach upload *6 days ago* ok.. ok

Gbemi

Yesss wasn’t expecting Jojos today

thorfinn

Mf looks overjoyed 😭😭😭😭😭

kivu_king

jojos and bleach is the only two things im watching on this channel right now but i feel u

ooAlmondMilk

They said bleach was only going to be on friday this week, cause they did the binge for the ulquiorra fight

Snow

Guys they have legit mentioned it IN THE BLEACH VIDEOS That because of the drop they did, they weren't posting normal bleach this week. You'd have to wait till later today (Thursday) Let's not make it look like they aren't communicating ok?

Benio

Bleach is tomorrow

beannie

😭😭😭

Zephykun

They showed surface on the screen, but ill give you that point. 2 points!

JojoJack

Close but no cigar on the future stand names

Alex Ramirez

Just like with Tamami (The Lock), Hazamada was originally as tall and buff as Josuke and Okuyasu and then shrinks to Koichi's height after being defeated in the manga. These are the only 2 characters that do this His stand Surface is a reference to the musical group of the same name

Miitei

"Tamami is a hustler, he's a predator, he's a 40yo italian mafia boss" what are you even saying Mckay 😅😂

Mack

Can’t you guys watch the uncensored version of this? Then you'll have all the real names of the stands.

Mack

Mcoy!!

beannie

Sunday cannot come soon enough

Lorenzo

You guys will definitely see some stand names you recognize, especially in the next part, like most of the stands are famous artist everyone knows

Sg

Idk if it’s just me, but episodes 8,9 are soooo fun! Also after that it’s episode 10! 🍝😋

Benio

My favourite fall activity is waking up feeling horny

JayCnY

Look, I didn't accuse them of anything. I'm just sad no bleach in 6 days. Can I be sad? Am I allowed to express this sadness? Put the sword down White Knight.

beannie

So excited for the next few eps honestly

NathSSB

Guuurateo

Mitch

Great fun fact!

Jacob Martinez

I promise you guys it’s ok if you don’t get the stand name off the bat because I don’t want that to impact your understanding of the story. We will let you know the actual name of the stand. But jojos is my favorite uploads rn and am looking forward to every new episode

beannie

Haha the character designs sometimes vary or have slight changes throughout this part in the manga. Araki drew Koichi so cutely at times😭🩷

Alex Ramirez

20:07 the physically stronger the stand, the shorter the range. Echoes is so weak physically that its range is massive.

beannie

We don’t actually have “fall” in my country, this is the start of winter season for us! Haha. I love reading and journaling at this time of the year, the weather is perfect for it, and I also start being less packed at work so I have more free time, I love this season🚬

thorfinn

He look like a sour patch kid

beannie

Thorfinn😭😭😭 he’s 2 apples tall

cade-carter

Saying guessing is not the terminology yall should use cause i was as confused as jack lol but yeah just listen cloesly

Hard-B0iled

The real star of this part 🥹

savexx

Literally

Hegataro

👏 That's 👏 my 👏 Horse 👏 Coochie 👏

Flubbedsquid

Surface (like basically every other stand name) is a band Tbh I don't know the laws around this kind of stuff, but it could be that the localization guys get a little overzealous in some cases, because "Surface" is also just a normal word, and not just an obvious name like if it were called "ACDC" or something.

This is Daniel

Howdy my Gekels. Watching this episode whilst receiving a soul destroying foot massage from an unsuspecting female masseuse, whom I believe has an adamantium skeleton. Thanks for being a comfort blanket during a world of #AbominablePain. PS - I heard the word Surface so many times, it no longer sounds like a word. PPS - when are you giving us a double drop? I felt we were robbed last Sunday 👹

This is Daniel

Noooo. It's not worth losing the sound effect / name captions on screen. Just use your ears and suspend your disbelief with your eyes 😊

Shiki

ahahaha 🤣😭💀

Shiki

based comment yet again

TB0796

My favorite fall activity is listening to Morioh radio and watching steel ball run on fridays

Shiki

@Sg - I can't wait for episode 10 🍝🍷🇮🇹

Shiki

Koichi's Echoes has a range of 50 meters, that's how they put down the SFX first. I think you get that info pretty soon

Shiki

idk why these subs aren't translating the SFX

Sg

@Shiki hehe me too! One of my fav side quests 🤭🍅🍅🍅

beannie

Guatemala! It’s in latinamerica

Isabella Anderson

There has to be some extension they can use to watch Jojo's with the og stand names. This part isn't too egregious, but in some later parts the localized names get beyond bad.

Hard-B0iled

Oh dope! Always wanted to go there! I have friends from there ☺️ I’m in NY but moved from Sweden

antonio bascuñan

27:49 sorry to dissappoint, but mariah carey technically already appeared in jojo's. it was mariah, the stand user that turned joseph and avdol magnetic

Starfish

The name “Surface” is copyrighted because of the band Surface from the 80s and 90s

J3

Funniest image I've seen on patreon lmaooooo 😭😭😭

Jnasty

No one's saying you can't be sad, but you should pay more attention if you care that much

beannie

Wait that’s so cool! Are they from a specific city? And omg I was in NY last week!!! Why did you move? And if you ever visit here I can assure you you’re gonna love it :) there’s some places that are dangerous unfortunately, but if you avoid them you can spend the best time ever, we’re known for having the kindest people in the world!! Haha

thorfinn

next double drop in 2029

Snapple-Chan

I dunno if you missed it in episode 5 chili peppers name is actually red hot chili pepper. Majority of the names of stands are either bands or songs and majority will all be in English when said just with the accent. Because their more often than not based on English speaking bands and songs. Just please don’t look this one up if you wanted to actually see that it says that cause it would spoil it of course. But other than that key to trying to find their actual name is listening for English with a Japanese accent or if you can’t figure it out or hear it you can just ask us. It’s like how kars was cars the band and wamuu was supposed to be wham and esidisi was supposed to be acdc and sanviento was santana that one is actually said in Japanese as santana but not on the subs.

atomicdog

🎵 Toniight, I need your body 🎵

atomicdog

Just to answer a couple of questions you guys had: - Why can people see fake Josuke? We've seen a few stands now that possess physical objects and can be seen by non-Stand Users, i.e. Strength and Wheel of Fortune. This is another example of that. The mannequin is possessed by the stand, so people can see it. - Why was Keicho shooting the most pyscho people with the stand arrow? I can't recall the specific line, or maybe it was translated funny with your subs but Keicho states in his episode that he was intentionally targeting more dangerous and violent people because he felt they had more potential.

Jonas

Apparently it is not so much due to copyright that the names are changed, simply that Warner Brothers do not want to shout out competition Also, the main reason I think most people want you to listen is not so much that they hope you get the references to the songs/bands, but the fact that some of the stand names later on and in this part as well are just straight up awful, you'll see

Ben

You guys are so mean to Tamami

Jonas

Turns out it's not actually due to copyright, but warner brothers not wanting to shout out competition

Maton Masquel

Who ever said gooning on a rainy day as their fav is mental

Hard-B0iled

I believe they’re from Flores! Ong you were here last week?? How was it? What area did you stay in and was it your first time here?

peachy af

"and another one bites the dust" interesting phrasing, josuke puppet....

Mack

Oh bet

Mack

Think he just hates short guys

Enma

I’m a bit late but here is one of chapter cover (Ch.25) that was adapted this episode!

peachy af

when i was 15 and stupid i used to be obsessed with hazamada because i thought his bob was cunty. there's really someone for everybody

DonDuh103

Rachel just pass by me here a few days ago be safe. I think it should be a low level hurricane by now

alejos_banned

they literally said thursday two days ago no?

DonDuh103

My favorite oldest artist is Bob Dylan so I think it’s cool that the author names some things after artists he likes

DonDuh103

Copy Stand user Kaka Hatake😭😭

Aegi

They said Thursday tho. Its thursday

Kayanolive

HAD NO INTERNET FOR LIKE A WEEK, TIME TO BINGE OMFG 🔥🔥

Xeons

same i saw a comment from 1 of the geks yesterday saying thurs...guess not

JojoJack

You don’t know about Perman?! Ep Commentary “This episode is the fight against Toshikazu Hazamada. I heard that animating Josuke was somewhat difficult as he was constantly running, but the chase as a whole can actually be seen as a guided tour of the town. As soon as the characters leave the school, they pass by a number of places in Morioh before eventually reaching the episode's climax. I'm hoping some of you will take time to carefully observe and listen to the surroundings. During this trip, we discover details such as the railroad crossing that never let's you through, or the building overlooking the train station. The fight against Hazamada marks the first time Josuke and Koichi cooperate, the latter finally having some experience with Stands. Starting from the making of the storyboard, I also noticed that it really was the first time Josuke is accompanied by a 'friend'; they investigate things together and do fist bumps like buddies. As someone says later, it’s not rare for the main character of a manga to be loved by all, being able to bond with everyone, and these two are a great example of it. Regarding Koichi, he’s clearly a nice boy, but his exacerbated sense of justice would be a bit scary in reality; as if it's hiding something else. I would be suspicious (laughs). We can see one of Hazamada’s friends at the beginning. He really has the physiognomy of someone who you'd picture as “Hazamada’s friend”. Nothing more nothing less, we didn’t even have a precise model to be faithful to.” - Naokatsu Tsuda

louis10969

I'm late but musical references un this episode : - Surface - band name ( as you noted in the video) - Red hot Chilli Pepper who I forgot in the last video - (band name too)

Uncle Tsukishima

I forgot how zany and episodic the first half of Diamond is. The real meat is in the second half (episode 20+ iirc). I almost wish we could just skip straight to it.

Nick K

You guys talking about "older" music and not being familiar with it makes me thinks, the Geks have probably never heard or seen Jamiroquai and Virtual Insanity, but you guys really should. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. The video is a certified classic

Kayanolive

My internet provider is a bum they couldnt find my transactions BUT WE BACK

Grae

It's actually spring here is Aus! My favourite spring activity is bathing in the sun as I live in a relatively cold part with a lot of overcast in autumn and winter 😭

T.Yaseen

McKay not beating them allegations lmao

Ricchan

Nah, Part 4 daily life is part of it's charm. The introductions were in the first 20 episodes and they're great too

bri

cause these subs fucking suck :/ geks dont care tho

taybrim

why is jack calling himself gross

Patchnose

You guys already missed Mariah Carey. She was the part 3 villain with the magnets. Her name was Mariah.

Miitei

It's not even copyright 😭 i hate big corporations greed

Miitei

Carter mentioning he likes the radio thingy, made me remember you guys should totally be paying attention to the announcer every time he talks 👀

Anomander’s Ootooloo

I love how Part 4 has multiple overarching arcs that come to their own conclusions separately from one another. It’s so well done in this part especially.

Poms

WHAT thats the best part of part 4!! the heck!!!

Poms

hell yeah, keep doing this i love part 4 art

Kayanolive

Yo these subtitles do not translate the sound effects koichi's stand puts on people. knowing what he does is really important no? 😭 He put a "squish" onto fake josuke's head to make it sound like an eyeball popped. It made Koichi's first fight an unreadable mess too..💔💔

harp

AYYYY EVERYTIME I CLOSE MY EYESSSS
