I believe from this part forward its best not to think of stands as having rules, but intents. Is healing a cavity harder than turning a dude into a rock? No. Youre gonna come across alot of exceptions if you try to classify stands by rule like abilities like in JJK. Josuke cant heal a cavity because that wasnt the intent of the author.

Every face he makes is always drawn with heavy lines for a great result. In the second half of the episode, Tonio’s turnaround scene resembles a game of Chicken (laughs). We don't even know who started it. In any case, all of these panicking scenes and the rest of the meal interlaced perfectly. Fumiaki Kouta was in charge of the storyboard for this episode despite working on another series at the same time. But since we had similar sensibilities, there was practically nothing to correct. Mr. Kouta is also very efficient when he’s in charge of the animation. If you see a scene with fluid animation, it was most likely him who drew the layout. In terms of the plot, I think this episode was primarily intended to make us laugh, but the humor is balanced by all this gory horror imagery, like with Okuyasu's gut exploding out of his body. It's even more unpleasant when we look at the uncensored version without the black filters. But paradoxically, we still come out of the episode with this urge to try Tonio’s restaurant. We paid particular attention to the colors of the food in order to make the dishes as appetizing as possible. It’s strange to say this, but I have the impression that these kinds of episodes where they're completely irrelevant to the plot actually boosts the team's morale. Crazy Diamond is a fixer, not a healer, he can fix physical things to its original state. While Josuke technically could fix Okuyasu's rotten teeth (like closing the holes maybe), he wouldn't be able to heal the cavities as these are caused by bacteria and considered a chronic disease.

to answer the question about teeth, yeah when your tooth decays its basically being eaten by bacteria and turned into excretions, since all organisms have to "eat" and excrete waste. Carter is right that Josuke's ability isn't able to just remake stuff if they're missing parts that are long gone. He can only destroy and remake stuff which is right there and within range of his stand and its ability. So with the food he was just remaking the ingredients into their original form before they were "damaged" through the process of cooking via chopping, heating, mushing etc.

Main French cuisine is a bit overrated, but they still have the best bread and desserts in the world I'll stand by that. Also there is more cuisine outside of Europe... Asia? Latin America? Personally I will never state that Panda Express or Taco Hell is better than the native food there lol (And I say this as someone who fucking loves American food btw. Philly cheese steaks, hot dogs, our versions of po boys, etc)

I love jojo so much it’s my favorite thing ever but that’s one part that I can’t always get behind. The kind of person I am I don’t care what bizzare shenanigans happen I just want them to make sense in the story. I let a lot of things slide because they arent egregious enough that I can’t suspend my disbelief however sometimes jojo does some shit I can’t understand. Rewatching part 6 with a family member rn and it just pisses me off so bad some of the stuff in there.

Let's Go Eat Italian Food is definitely one of the all-time beloved episodes of part 4. Its just a total stand out in JJBA, nothing bad really happens, we just get a friendly stand user who doesn't even need to be beaten in order to become a good guy like most do. Tonio is my favorite minor character in this part as well 🥰 There will be plot, and I sure hope you guys enjoy it when we get to that point but a big part of Diamond is Unbreakable is the minor stand users and locations of Morioh.

i get frustrated at the bizarreness too, but i love getting that feeling of not understanding what the hell is happening until it gets explicitly explained. it's so absurd that it's funny to me but ik exactly why you feel that way @Bracc, i myself like more realistic stories (hence why im named thorfinn, that's my fav anime fr) but jojo's jojo-ness surprisingly doesn't bother me one bit

France has the widest variety of cheeses, amazing wine, some of the best gastronomy and chefs and just hands down the best bread in the world. Italian cuisine is literally everywhere, there's a big Italian diaspora in NA so yeah I'm not surprised there's a lot of good stuff there too with it's own style, but aside from the pizza and pasta which you can find anywhere, in Italy there's specific local stuff like pastries, wines, cheeses, breads, a lot of local dishes. Quality wise it's just less processed too in general than in NA. Med cuisine is just goated. I think the only aspect where NA is superior is the fast food, but even that EU is catching up with pretty quickly. We're just the goats.

How do you start getting bothered by this in part 6 when in part 2 you had Joseph using icicles to form a rope, him predicting his opponent's whole line of dialogue word for word and part 3 Jotaro spawning in a manhole? Its like yeah Jojo is actually about characters being sly to a ridiculous degree lol, that's the gag, it's the punchline of almost every episode.
