I can’t believe I’m early but we are a step closer. Understandable about the first part where it’s hard to ignore that well Jotaro is there to focus on Josuke. Since well Jotaro like absolutely decimated Dio in the last part. It’s hard to focus on a new one when they bring in past like god characters yet their nerfed. Especially when you compare them to the new Jojo in the part it feels like they could have like did it better. But the thing about Jojo is a generational one the one you come to love if they appear in another part is always going to be nerfed. Like how it was with Joseph in the last part. He beat the absolute perfect being Kars. Yet he got a stand of purple vines and basically clairvoyance what yes can help but not much and even with his Harmon it didn’t really work well in part three. It’s just a thing where the past gets nerfed so that the new generation can be seen as an absolute beast and to show that time does have an effect on them. Because if it didn’t that would be pretty boring like if Joseph was like how he was in part two and Jotaro was like how he was in part 3 in the show now. It would be like why is Josuke even there at that point. There would be no reason to add new jojos. I’m not trying to make this like sound bad or hateful I’m just saying what I think. If anything comes off bad or that I apologize. Also sorry for how long it is

My Gekos! So glad I got this episode before falling asleep. @Cannon - Jotaro is still highly respected even during part 4 😉. Like Carter said, the focus is on Josuke; and I'm sure you'll love him by the end of the season (if not before) 😊. @McKay - Yeah, the "running" in this episode is a genuine plot hole. Especially when interspersed with the walking.

Thats tough. Guess thats the only way to tune it to an American pallet. If you only have salt and olive oil, just put a crazy amount of salt. Can totally see the chocolate desert being way too rich. Its been forever since ive been to one because of these things.

Carter has the take. Jotaro is my glorious goat no worries he still gets burn. Just like Joseph got shine in part 3 even tho its not as much as Jotaro. They just gotta give priority to Josuke cuz we already seen the Jotaro be Jotaro story. And the Joseph be Joseph story before that. Anyone that says forget about Jotaro is lost but we know he could probably whoop mostly anyone if he and star platinum are in their prime getting in the mix every episode.

This is one of worst cases but Araki the author has a philosophy that "men should fight their own battles." and often times in the series the characters either get split up or the others dont notice for whatever reason like caeser vs wamu, he ran off alone to fight, joseph fought all alone every time except for the finale, kakyoin vs the baby, joseph in P3 with his 1 solo fight, and others im not thinking of along with more later. The reasoning for how their fighting alone has its ups and down not that team fights doint exist, but often it happens

ive noticed how freely these subtitles are being translated this part. I dont speak japanese but i know enough that these funny subtitles are barely translating whats actually being said like sometimes it's kind of egregious lol

Definitely adaptation issues this episode. They easily could've shown them running the whole time. Having them just standing or walking definitely takes you out of it. Especially in Jojo's where characters are usually very well thought out and giving it their all it stands out. Part 4 is my favorite for sure, but how they adapted this moment is quite unfortunate

Jojo's Bizarre Walking is definitely a result of Araki wanting the RHCP fight to be exclusively Okuyasu's fight, as it makes thematic sense for it to be his fight to fight

I think it’s more because every season has been about focusing on the next JoJo. Joseph took a huge backseat to Jotaro. Jotaro is taking a huge backseat to Josuke. Just the format and complaining about Jotaru not doing anything wont change anything. This is why we barely saw Joseph use Hamon or have some OP stand because that part was not about Joseph. He was just the connector.

The running part is different in the manga of course where as in the anime they have to fit in all the dialogue so it makes it seems like they don’t move. However I feel it’s not really a big deal. We’ve seen stuff like this before in anime I feel like it’s pointless to nitpick.

This is probably one of the more contrived and annoying episodes of JJBA, the whole approach to Okuyasu doesn't make too much sense, the characterization of Josuke is all wonky... Like, one of Josuke's traits is that he's nice, it makes no sense that he just ignores Okuyasu like that. But oh well.

Slow and steady wins the race. Ep Commentary “This episode is here to show how dangerous Chili Pepper can be. It's quite frankly invincible as long as there’s electricity nearby. A part of its electric sparks is drawn by hand, but the rest comes from compositing effects. The animation of the motorcycle took a lot of time, especially if we take into account the various corrections made by the director. There is a shot where Okuyasu stomps on Chili Pepper with his Stand's foot. We redid it after the voiceover in order to increase the impact of the strikes. The original consisted of only two stomps (*geshi, geshi*), but we retouched it to create a real flurry of blows (*geshigeshigeshigeshi*). We had to do this much in order to match Mr. Takagi’s hell of an acting job. There are times when you should know how to do things excessively. My favorite part is still the opening scene with Josuke struggling on his console. He’s really into it, but eventually loses to the game. Concretely, the game isn't what matters, it’s the reaction that’s important. With a little more time, we could have worked on the scene more, because it deserves it. (laughs). Even if it has nothing to do with the story, I especially love how Chili Pepper invades a TV series and just sits peacefully in the background.
