The last episode for this weekend will be out in the next hour or so!

Comments

Maari

Nice

Centreon

Damn I’m slow

Amy_D

Wasn’t expecting anymore this weekend 😱 what a nice surprise!

Mia Malvik

The mix between screaming and regular singing in the intro is very typical metalcore as a genre. Really recommend checking out similar stuff 😌👌🏼

Jay

FaZe Gabi doesn’t miss 🙏

brian

gabi looking in the mirror, doing the bun just like eren. the parallels continue.

Katrīna Susmara

I know none should take sides, but I completely understand Eren. I'm with him, I'd probably do the same.

Ana

Team Eren 🖤

gimrick

#getrumbledstayhumbled nah i'm kidding I think Carter summed it up perfectly before, but this show is so brilliant because it raises such huge ethical and moral questions and forces the audience to contend with them. There are so many different views on what should happen, or what any of us would do given the situation, and I think it just highlights perfectly one of the huge themes of the show, which is our capacity for conflict and hatred, and what we do in response to it, and how our choices affect those that come after us. I've watched through it so many times and I still love it more each time. Isayama really did create something so special, in my opinion at least!

Same, sis. I mean if the whole world is going to conspire together to take your ppl out then..... 🤷🏽‍♀️

Melizé

Cannon making fun of Carter for thinking Annie's dad was the leader 😂😂

anna

i saw this post once that said "when Erwin died his consciousness split into too: Armin's brains and Jean's balls" and i cannot stop thinking about it

Darth Demetrius

Keith Shaddis is the most BA mfer in the show, change my mind.

Melizé

This episode gives me S1 vibes. It reminds me of how terrifying pure titans are. RIP Pixis.

CHIEF

My main problem with Floch is exactly what someone brought up when he came back, why is he in charge? We have Armin and Jean right there and bro is acting like a leader or something idk how that happened

Jawrool
>>104432438

Because he was chosen by Eren to form the Jaegerists. All the people who have allegiance to Eren only have it because Floch convinced them. Floch is basically the right hand man that was pulling the strings in the background while Eren was in Marley.

Joe
>>104432438

What do you mean "why"? Why people are following him? Because they believe in what he believes in.

metalgearbear

Cannon, you need to stop mistaking Armin's empathy for weakness or "not being in control." Armin has shown plenty of times he can commit, you need to stop bringing up Erwin like he's infallible lol. I get that you like him, but c'mon. Jean shines in moments like this where there's a clear, almost black/white, task to be done. He's not good at coming up with plans or strategy like Erwin/Armin was. Jean and Armin bring different skills to the table and Armin is a capable leader in his own right and his character doesn't deserve to be compared against others so that you can come up with a reason to find him "lacking". Also, you're going to sit there and say Jean is willing to do the "dirty" but ignore that Armin was the one who actually killed Pyxis?

Mallyks
>>104433305

i hope u understand that they reacted to these episodes weeks ago lol.

CHIEF
>>104432438

Yeah fair enough, I just don't get why they like him, he acts like a little fascist brat in the next few episodes I just wanted to kick his ass myself

Megan Kirby

Isayame is a big breaking bad fan. So the Titan that came after the gang, looks a lot like Saul Goodman. He looks like Saul Goodman even more in the manga

Megan Kirby

I think it’s really profound what Niccolo says. It’s true most likely we’re always going to be in that forest, but it’s worth trying to find a way out of it.

>>104433305

I mean he really wasn’t all that hard on Armin, considering. Armin does hesitate more than Erwin, and Erwin does more ethically questionable things than Armin, and that’s part of who they both are. If Cannon prefers one method over the other, he’s bound to be frustrated with what could’ve been had Erwin been chosen, especially since it hasn’t (at this point) been addressed directly post-time skip. Honestly, part of Armin’s hesitation through all of this is - I think - partly due to him being the survivor of that conflict. He feels a lot of pressure to become the new Erwin, and has no confidence that he can. Erwin would probably have been more decisive, and people are allowed to miss that. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t appreciate Armin. Hopefully, as Armin recognizes that he’ll never be Erwin and comes into his own, Cannon will feel like the show has at least addressed that comparison directly.

Melizé
>>104431032

It's okay Carter, you can always remind him of his sun theory 😂😂😂

metalgearbear
>>104433305

@Julia I agree that's a considerable reason for Armin's character. And yeah, the methods (if you mean the Rumbling or not) is a big what-if for a lot of characters. I should've said the context of when this was said was during the scene right before killing Pyxis. Armin/Mikasa were visibly upset, Jean said "let's go" and that's when they mention Jean is always willing to do things and Erwin would be "more in control." In the context of this scene in control of what? To not hesitate killing a comrade? I'm not sure why control matters here because they were going to kill those Titans no matter what. And killing comrades is not something Erwin had to deal with a lot compared to what Armin/co have to do (and coming up), so I think the hesitation makes sense and should be given some understanding here. Sometimes I think folks are pushing for immediate action a little too much lol.

Berndelta
>>104429905

It isn't the whole world though. It's the leadership of the other countries. People just want to try and justify Eren's genocide by saying it's the whole world.

Berndelta

I know it's a bit naive, but Gabi makes a good point. Why does the entire population of the world need to die to protect Paradis? Eren could easily target specifi c military facilities and keep civilian casualties to a minimum. With a plan like that, he'd also surely have the support of all of his friends and the other Eldians, and they would work together to get rid of the true threats.

Santiago
>>104439016

Reiner said it himself “Eren, the one person who shouldn’t have this power is you”

rosa_gris
>>104429077

Anime openings have definitely shaped my love for rock/metalcore music growing up. Especially 2000s anime openings, when metalcore was more popular. Hope they watch Vinland Saga someday because the S1 opening (Mukanjyo) is fire 🔥🔥🔥

__JMN
>>104439016

He also doesn't want the cycle of eating titans and people living for 13 years to continue. Especially for Historia and her children to continue the royal blood. Without it they don't have control of the founder and the world could attack them again.

Asbjørn Kennedy

Rewatching with you guys made me notice an interesting detail. Everything below is references to earlier episodes and pure speculation - I don’t know anything about what will happen beyond what is shown in the anime. Recall Eren and Pyxis having a conversation in early season 1 - where Pyxis suggested that if mankind had a common enemy they might unite. Eren rejected the notion as naive back then, but the fact that it was shown and basically brushed to the side immediately was a bit suspicious, especially since it came a bit out of nowhere. I think the scene was meant as a setup to the events of season 4. You could say it was for the stuff with Tybur, making Eldians the “common foe”, and now Eren has taken it one step further and become the Ultimate “enemy”. With these things in mind, rewatching the scene with Tyburs speech also allows for some further pretty interesting interpretations

Rae

"There's a devil in all of us. Then what should we do? Escape the forest. Even if we can't, we've gotta keep trying." This is probably my favorite central theme of the entire series. The cycle will never end because like Erwin said in Season 3, "Humans will continue to fight one another until the day there's one human or less". Pyxis even said back in Season 1, "If humankind perishes, it won't be because the titans devoured us. We will perish because we annihilated one another". Committing mass genocide will stop that specific population from hating others but it doesn't stop people from hating each other. Because there's a devil in all of us. Everyone is capable of hatred and committing acts of violence. So what do we do if violence/hatred/conflict will always continue? We try our best not to further and continue the cycle and to lessen it in any way we can and even if we can't, we have to keep trying. I've seen some people say "Well that's not easy peace isn't possible". Sure it's a lot harder and involves a great deal of time, patience, and risk, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't strive to achieve it.

Frizen
>>104439016

Because it wouldn't get rid of the hate, there would always be problems and they would eventually attack them again. Also Eren is psycho, Reiner understands this lol

rosa_gris
>>104441133

I always thought back to that conversation when watching S4. It definitely seems that way. He’s even becoming estranged from his closest friends. But when that common enemy is eliminated, humanity will continue finding reasons to fight amongst themselves.

rosa_gris

Pyxis wasn’t as prevalent in the later seasons but his death still hit hard. He was the first person outside of the trio to believe in Eren and Armin. Without him, the trio might’ve been executed - and Paradisian’s may have never learned of the truth. It’s quite ironic how Eren and Armin, whom he saved, have in/directly killed him.

tskjn
>>104433305

@Katrina that goes both ways for the reactor and their audience though.

tskjn
>>104429905

@Berndelta not really. Civilians were shown to be disgusted by Eldians multiple times throughout the show. Reiner's dad, Ksaver's wife, the dude that drenched Grisha and child Zeke are some examples.

lafatte24

that almost 1:1 reenactment of eren by gabi in front of the mirror. She might as well have said "tatakae"

YourGirl

mckay what’s in that blender bottle👀

YourGirl

sad YourGuy isn't in the comments today 😪😪

Bob
>>104432438

I doubt I could, Floch got that Eren level will power and worked hard to git gud. Also, unlike most people, I liked Floch in season 3. That would totally have been me, thinking I was man enough to fight and then breaking down in front of Zeke's OP pitching. But he pulled himself together and really learned to be a man. I 100% disagree with his point of view, but I understand and respect it.

Jonathan Esmalla

SEASON 1: EREN, RUN SEASON 4: IT'S EREN! RUN!

Sean Carroll

the rumbling would take about a week to destroy the entire planet

Katrīna Susmara
>>104429905

What about the crying kids in Shiganshina? @sean. Don't try to make me feel guilty about the way I think.

Erich R

Gabi's character development is unreal

C2-H5-OH

My man really saw the episode title "Thaw" and guessed about Annie in 2 seconds, DAMN!

ChaosDragon

"I just love the English part" I hope somebody tells him the entire opening is in English.

Bibi

"why is Floch in control" Floch the main character by process of elimination lol

Soun Long

damn sometimes AOT titles give too much away lol. Thaw, Female Titan, Beast Titan, Warrior.. just a few that could easily give a lot of hints for an acute viewer

Eugene Conner

Remember, the other part of the Euthanization plan was to do a small version of the rumbling so that the would would not touch the remaining Eldians while they slowly go extinct. (It's also the reason they didn't execute the plan while they were in Marley. They planned to meet in Shiganshina)

Tuna Özgür

I don't know why but i have subtitles from like a bot all over the bottom of the video. It's really getting on my nerve, cause i nearly can't read the subtitles of the episodes. Don't know how to shot it off. Can maybe someone help me? Otherwise thank you for the content guys!

CM DLR

Jean may be a leader that fosters morale, but if you want to compare him to Armin, he’s just not a strategist like Armin

Martin Eliecer Mitre Thomas

I need context of something. Jackson had not seen this episodes? Otherwise why on earth he would spoil ************armin sacrificing himself for connies mom**********

Alicia Strong
>>104822743

Did you get this fixed? I have enver heard of this issue, if youd like, you can email me at aliciastrong94@gmail.com and we can talk about trying to fix it for you. Just trying to help, not sure if I can help at all here, but I can try

rayman
>>105889749

Jackson has been the most confusing since S4 started, where before it was Brig being dense. Every ep he literally acts like he knows nothing about the whole season and randomly says some spoiler stuff. It's like he's never watched S4 at all, he remembers nothing.
