Jasmin Baus

I've been MOST HYPED for this video!! glad its finally here

TheRealBilaal

fun fact, on the s2 opening when it shows the scouts on the wall the lyrics say " offering my life and soul, without a second of regret" and shows the scouts on the wall exept for reiner, bertholt and annie

ChrisBrah-4

GOODNESS THOSE WERE INDEED SOME SUSSY SUBTITLES

nomorepartiezz

the season 2 ending is so dope to me because it adds so much the world. its like seeing biblical lore about the titans and how horrifying they used to be. its straight up terrifying

Megan Kirby

That Eren-Eren-Eren-Eren transition is epic.

selena

red swan + the rumbling will forever be my favs 🫶

nomorepartiezz

the season 3 part 2 ending is so memorable because it started playing during the Owls scene where he said “… whos memories are those?”

Sham3ful

Hearing again Akuma no Ko had me levitating, definitely one of my favorite ending (alongside SiM's ed)

Morgan North

so interesting stuff: "the rumbling" for S4P2 is from Eren's POV, and "Under the Tree" from S4P3 is from Mikasa's POV. so a lot of people are anticipating the last one to be from Armin's POV

Alex Young

we stan carter with the ending on his playlist!

Harrison Jay

woah all of you except carter are tweaking, season 4 part 1 ed is great

ssj4rit

S2 ending is basically us getting future memories but not understanding them lol

TheRealBilaal
>>105516880

endings that transition from the end of an episode are rare but thats what makes them so good, same w the gabi one

TheRealBilaal

akuma no ko was so amazing at the end of the episode every sunday when we had to wait a week, every sunday it was banger intro, banger episode, god damn cliff hanger, BANGER outro, leaving u empty and waiting a week for the next ep. personally i think the experience of that waiting each week was amazing, i feel like carter wouldve loved it

Slizzle

You guys missed s4 part 3’s ending, its not much visuals but the lyrics are important in my opinion

Chakra

s4p2 opening is goated

三上

you guys missed the rumbling's lylics (It was a banger already but the lyrics were so good as well)and the latest ed called under the tree😭

Silvana Salinas

Rumbling, Red Swan, Shinzo Wo Sasageyo, Akuma no ko and Under the tree…chefs kiss👌🏼✨

Windy Days

missed under the tree

A_Daddy Daichi

Uhmmm I definitely don’t think I’ve ever seen the S1 P1 ED wtf lol Favorite OP: S4 P2 Favorite ED: S4 P2 (P1 comes in 2nd it's so good wth) P2 is just too beautiful and makes me emotional 🥺 the visuals when the cage disappears and when Eren takes that first step and the flowers pop up… CHILLS

TerraZetzz

What about Under The Tree by SiM? The most recent ending. I heard it in the video at one point but you guys didn't watch it.

Sean Carroll
>>105518210

yeah that one annoyed me slightly, they need to read the lyrics, that ending is sad and beautiful

Krii

Much awaited. Loved yall reactions <3

Sean Carroll

Season 1 part 1 OP and ED (9 & 6) Season 1 part 2 (7 & 6) Seaosn 2 (7.5 & 7.5) Season 3 part 1 (8 & 5) Season 3 part 2 (5 & 8.5) Season 4 part 1 (8 & 8.5) Season 4 part 2 (10 & 10)

Sean Carroll

Carter referred to his theory but didnt explicitly state it, whats the theory?

Sean Carroll

are you planning on doing character tier lists

Xeons
>>105519928

Are you in the Discord? Carter made one, it's pinned in the AoT channel!

Melizé

That was a great review, I enjoyed watching you guys react to it. "Respectfully, I am turning it up" made me laugh! I turned it up too! Cannon tearing up with Akuma no ko 🥺❤ Same Cannon, same. Song made me very emotional. Not that anybody cares lol but my top 3 are: 1. Rumbling 2. Guren no Yumiya (s1 p1) 🤘🏼🔥 3. Akuma no ko

Aidan Ross

Mappa was on an absolute tear when they did season four part two and jujutsu kaisen season one openings and endings in the same time period. Some of the best op and ed I’ve heard.

Kisa Shouta

Akuma no ko is hands down best ending in aot! I'm glad you feel the same!❤️

Gestrid

The S3Pt2 ending song was actually reused in a special ending towards the end of S3. (It was the episode where The Owl said, "who's memories are these?") The visuals were completely different, though.

Gestrid

By the way, here's a fun fact about the S2 ending: When the season was airing, the part of the manga that the ending was referencing hadn't come out yet. So some keen-eyed manga readers (of which I am not one) technically got spoiled by it. Though, really, depending on how far you are into the story, that ending can change its meaning. For example, by the end of S2, all we know is that humanity has been driven to near-extinction. So the S2 ending looks like it's telling you about that. By the end of S3, we're semi-aware of the Great Titan War since Grisha discusses it in his backstory, so the S2 ending looks like it might be about that instead of the extinction of humanity. Then, we're hit with the realization in S4 that, no, this ending isn't about the past. It's about the future: The Rumbling. It's "memories of the future", if you will. That was my thought process, anyway, as I kept thinking back to that ending as I waited for new episodes to come out these last few years. (I started watching Attack on Titan in 2017, coincidentally just before S2 started coming out.) It's one of those endings that has no right to be as good as it is, but you still can't get it out of your head, which is why I kept thinking back to it.

AYAYAJUICER

Vinland saga episode 2 when

Audreyldo

Akuma no ko is the BEST ending i’ve ever seen, i remember that I couldn't listen to it without having tears in my eyes for 2 weeks. The rumbling is SO epic, you should pause and observe the details it’s unreal! and personally I love « Shock » so much it brings back memories of my season 4 viewing when i was speechless at the end of each episode and had to wait a week for the next one… (Mappa is the goat for OP and ending sorry not sorry)

e riv

My rankings are almost the same as Carter's. I'm surprised everyone ranked season 1 part 2 intro between an 8 and 9(which I love) 😍 since it's so underrated, and some people don't like it, especially when it shows the ODM gear. I'm glad Cannon and Carter ❤️appreciate Season 3 part 2 ending "Name of Love"; however, knowing how low Jackson, Mckay, and Brigs ranked the song crushed me 😭. Hopefully, you guys react to season 4 part 3 ending "Under the Tree." Have any of the geks on their own fully listened to the intros and outros with the song lyrics besides doing it in this reaction video? PS. Mckay and Brigs need their own Patreon of Naruto 👍 ...I'm willing to pay and watch every episode again from the start with you two geks.

farkzzy

carter stay taking Ws

Phos Phryne

The spoilers on ED 2, the one with the acorn, are fucking wild. From lyrics, to all of the visuals. Like look what is ON THE WALL itself! There's a god damned cart titan on the wall!

Shinon

You haaavvee to do the osts they’re amazingggg 🥺🥺🥺

rosa_gris

Did McKay really give Name of Love (S3P2 ED) a 2? That’s stone-cold 😂 The ED is very much tied to the Basement Reveal (end of S3E19) for me. The reveal that humanity, not only exists, but is thriving beyond the walls was mind blowing; and when “sayonara sekai..”(“goodbye world..”) started playing, IT HIT HARD with the nostalgia. It felt like we were saying goodbye to the only world we’ve ever known, and hello to a brand new one. It truly felt like the end of the beginning.

Bob

Ouch... y'all took my poor season 4 part 1 outro out back and shot it huh? Great visuals and the song is a perfect fit. But like yea... I get it. Y'all don't speak Japanese, you have different things you're listening for.

Dandy Lad

u guys need to watch project emu

Alex A.

The opening with the hearts at the end with the animals makes sense but only if you will see the second part of the final

kiiturii

man there is not even one that I dislike, all of them are sooooo good it's crazy

teagan

no reaction to under the tree?!

tskjn

Relate to carter's rankings tbh.

tskjn

Also mckay a 2???? Ruthless

kiiturii

btw if ya'll haven't yet, I'd HIGHLY recommend checking out the full versions, they don't just loop, the full versions really add a lot to the songs, and the lyrics are crazy too

kiiturii
>>105519550

yeah I had completely forgotten about s1p1 ending too lol, it was really good tho, really liked the visuals and lyrics

Seanツ

wheres Under the Tree????

James

I had mentioned this previously, but you should search for "ai higuchi “akuma no ko” anime special ver." on YouTube and watch a fan's video of the akuma no ko song which contains a compilation of scenes of the past and current seasons. It has received more than 67 million views.

Mia Malvik

Respectfully, 1 Akuma no Ko 2 The Rumbling 3 Red Swan

Samael

Cannon casually going "Why you tryna skip me cuh?" is killing me 😭

Andrea Hernandez

To think that Isayama spoiled the manga for us, manga readers, in the anime in season 2! Things that we didn't know came out in the anime XD

oki

Now react to attack on titan osts

Andrea Hernandez
>>105521996

Yeah I was losing it when it came out, and the amount of theories that we had at that time was insane XD Isayama you mad lad

Andrea Hernandez
>>105520595

For me its: 1-Rumbling 2-Red Swan 3-Akuma no ko... now, if it were for the emotional and visual significance, I would have to put Red Swan first second akuma no ko and third The Rumbling; but I loveee headbanger songs XD so...

jason 𒉭

when’s the dub vs sub reaction coming out?

Ale

They went all out with season 4 part 2 songs. I definitely recommend to check the full version for The Rumbling and Akuma no ko, the artists music video has the lyrics.

Ramen man

Isn't there a wifi expert among patreon subscribers? Give them some advise

ghala

also check the rumbling lyrics it's describing eren

BoredVoid

Just gonna say the "shitty ending" is actually quite a misdirect. While it has Marleyans and such, the lyrics are actually about Eren.

Sara SizzCake

I think I agree with Carter's take the most but I put the Season 4 Part 1 opening even with the Part 2 because of the full version of the song.

Max Grodman

Love to see Red Swan appreciation

woah

are we getting brigs reaction soon?

wild

the last ending is so close to my heart that I will literally be walking down the aisle to it

Melizé
>>105559610

My war is soooo good! I was confused when I heard it for the first time but it grew on me very quickly.

James

If you search for "If aot was a movie and all the characters were acting" on YouTube, there's a short where it shows the "behind the scenes" of AoT with the characters taking pictures and selfies. It's emotional to watch with the akuma no ko song playing in the backgroung.

Wulfheart

Y'all are right Season 4 part 2 has the best opening and ending of any anime imo. Y'all should totally check out SiM's S4p3 ending Under The Tree. I heard it play in the video but y'all didn't watch it. The ending doesn't have much in the way of animation but the words hit deep. The Rumbling is from Eren and Under The Tree is from Mikasa.

Jack McKee

the season 2 ending is one of my favorite things ever. it was the only ending/opening in the series that was personally storyboarded by the creator of the series Hajime Isayama. The visuals you see in this ending are meant to be mysterious and unnerving and when I watched it years ago it peaked my interest in the world of aot so much. Genuinely I think it's better to watch the openings and ending while you watch the show and that's especially the case for this one. Isayama wanted this to be a part of the viewing experience of the show. Can't really say the same for the rumbling because it does show some crazy spoilers but i watched it anyway bc the song slaps. Also the band that did this ending is one of Isayama's favorite bands

Rei

Mikasa: “This world is cruel and merciless... but it's also very beautiful” Eren: “This world is cruel but I still love you” 🥺🤧

The RZA

I may have missed but when will Brig's s4p3 reaction be loaded and what are you guys thinking for Vinland schedule?

Betty H

I highly recommend you guys reacting to Akuma no Ko on The First Take & the Attack on Titan Project Emu Suite. Especially since you guys really appreciate the soundtrack, you guys would absolutely enjoy it!

Jake Manning

You should consider reacting to OSTs. Lots of great soundtracks

Northyee

the ratings for Shogeki is straight BLASPHEMY that song is so fire 😭it was literally my most played song of 2021

DovaBro

You guys forgot the season 4 part 3 ending

Shiro

It is so difficult to rank the OPs and EDs for AoT, they each have their own unique feeling. S1 Op1 - It is THE defining OP for AoT, full of hype and action, especially the 'Jeagar' part! S1 Op2 - I love it for the amazing song, lyrics and symbolism. The visual of Armin bathed in blood of his comrades, and yet a single candle is lit in his mind which shows his mental fortitude and his observation skills that finally reveal the identity of the Female titan. S2 Op - Sasageyo almost became an anthem, need I say more! Amazing visuals, though they take the Beast analogy a bit too far I think! S3 Op1 - Initially, I was caught unaware by the soft tone of the Op, so unfitting for a show like AoT and the incoming violence (I am a manga reader, so I knew what was incoming!). However, it grew on me eventually, especially the kid versions of Levi, Erwin (I think we should've also got some childhood backstory of Hange and Miche, too!) S3 Op2 - This is a combination of S1 Op1 and S2 Op, the same band! You can hear the themes and words for both the Ops, it is like the ultimate culmination of all Ops, just as the season was the ultimate culmination of the previous parts! S4 Op1 - Once again, unexpectedly bizarre! This is the same band that did the ED for S2, so their songs are also a bit edgy and bizzare. I heard they are Isayama's favourite band! It kind of encapsulates the propangandist state of Marley quite well through the visuals, especially the soldiers marching. And of course, the final 'monster, monster, monster, monster' is too good! S4 Op2 - Spoiler! But it slaps hard!

Shiro
>>105653999

I am not a huge ED fan for AoT - S1 ED1 - Good and soothing song, but perhaps basing it on Mikasa was too character-specific so early in the series. S1 ED2 - I liked this one, the rolling acorn and the symbolism. If you look carefully, the cadets on Eren's side are the straightforward ones, but the ones on Reiner's side each have a huge secret. And Eren being controlled by his Attack Titan was brilliant foreshadowing! S2 ED - Of all the Ops and Eds, this one is my most favourite because it is so specific and unique to Aot, the creepiest thing I have ever seen. It gives major plot spoilers, and the song is hypnotic, out of this world, it sounds like the anthem of a cult! S3 ED1 - If S1 ED1 was Mikasa, here it is Historia, but understandable as the season focuses on her. But the end credit for the last episode has cemented this ED in the hearts and minds of all and almost made the good song creepy in people's memory. S3 ED2 - I liked the song, very nostalgic as many 'sayonaras' are said this season. I loved how the ED elevated the final moments of some of the episodes, like S3 E21. It kicks in perfectly with the 'Whose memories are these' lines by Kruger, making it a very good ED in my opinion. (Note: Did you guys watch the ending montage for E22 of S3? It is interesting!) S4 ED1 - I personally liked this, I was surprised when you guys did not like it quite as much! The song and lyrics are beautiful, and so are the visuals. I think the bird-like visuals are a good metaphor for Gabi, Falco, Eren and Reiner - birds in a cage! Just like the previous ED, it picks up very nicely during the final moments of some of the episodes, elevating the feeling of nostalgia and sadness in the episode. S4 ED2 - I personally was biased against this one as I could not enjoy Eren after his genocidal actions. But the song, lyrics and visuals are amazing, and by themselves, I must say, this ending is iconic!

Gael

Omg you guys didn’t react to Under The Tree 😞

Brandon

Rip Brigg, he's not gonna like the ending. I already see the rant.

Brandon Cotterell

They should've put under the tree in the endings list cos that song goes so hard! probably one of my top 5 of endings and op's

Kyle

the first theme of the final season clears not sorry

jordan solomon

wish you guys would’ve put under the tree in here!!! it’s a theory that the rumbling intro is Erens perspective and under the tree intro/ outro is Mikasas perspective

Rawsushiii

OMG y'all skipped over under the tree! That one is so so SOO GOOD!!! Another great video guys!

Doodlez

Why watch the rumbling without subtitles thats such a waste -.- If someone wants to see a great reactions to final season endings watch LM reactions 4x18 at the end when they watch op and ed with subs. Awesome reaction of those two

Keneizha Rubanarayana

Carter you really should watch the special video version on YouTube since you love akuma no ko just as much as I do.

Klokkey

WHERE IS UNDER THE TREE!

Moni Moo

You guys should react to the OST there are some amazing songs

Usaid Munir

Guys, I respect your decision to watch the OPs and ending later on but you guys missed the chance to really embrace these, maybe that’s why most of you are not that fond of many of these. We listened to each opening with every episode as we watched the seasons, and each specific opening portrays the exact theme of the ongoing season, thats why we relate to them so much. Plus, you had already heard the music before and seen the show. When you havent watched the show and see even spoilers in the OP, your mind gets racy because you are trynna piece together the pieces of info that you saw but your mind always has room for doubt that maybe it’s all a bluff. Like the dinosaurs xD. So watching these spoiler OPs with each episode only builds up the suspense and it gives an even more worthwhile experience imo. I’d recommend you to listen to OPs and endings of other animes simultaneously. Hope you consider it.

Riya

Rumbling was Eren's theme song

Arvid Hühmöller

Imo under the tree is the best ending, u should really Listen to it (lyrics are Crazy as well)

Tresa George
>>105556671

that one's my favourite actually!! i think its the one i never skipped. The paths and the lyrics ahhhh

anna
>>105556671

i don't think it's a misdirect, there are quite a few theories going on about it but i won't say anything cause it's manga ending related. but ig if you've read it and are into theories you can look it up. I don't think they would accidentally use up part of their budget to tie the song to unrelated visuals, there is probably some symbolism to it that's not cleared up yet. Song-wise it was actually my favourite until Akuma No Ko, i like it so much better than earlier endings.

The RZA

I can't believe it took me this long to think of this and ask. Since you all have loved the score for this have you thought about (or already) reacted/watched the "Hiroyuki Sawano Attack on Titan Suite" where they did a single take on most of the greatest songs for this show? It's a near 19min single take with Hiroyuki Sawano, who is the genius on the piano behind everything and some handpicked greats that he has included in soundtracks for other anime as well. Only thing that isn't single take about it is the layering of other recordings of theirs for background (cant remember proper term) Thought about it as I was re-watching your S2E6 video and facepalmed so hard i nearly had anime level handprint on my face as i typed.

Pavlo

Ngl i didnt like my war when i first heard it but like on a random day on march of 2021 i heard this and ngl its changed my opinion on the song https://youtu.be/gKBkS-dv4lg

lydia

Note for myself: Half watched

livewiki

Can we take a moment to appreciate how INSANE it is that they show the rumbling, the tian war, the founding of Paradis, and Maria Rose and Shina eating Yimir IN SEASON 2???

Takyon

I wonder if they ever re-watched and understood Ymir's story or if they are still unaware and don't even understand a whole arc of the show.
