For clarification on the Harald stuff, the guy shown in the first episode with the braided beard was Harald Bluetooth(yes, thats where the word Bluetooth comes from), a real dude who was king of Denmark and Norway before the events in this show. The Harald mentioned here, Canute's brother, is a different Harald. We've had a lot of Harald's in our history lol, Norway's current king is also called Harald. Canute and Sweyn are also based on real people

The guy with the axe at the end is Thorkell, he was briefly introduced in the first episode, I believe in the opening scene where he cuts down the mast and a few other people in one swing. Pretty good scene if you feel like rewatching it :)

Was at the 5:38 mark so paused the video to type that while i blew livewire out of my nose lol! Also, kills me that Jack asked about where vinland even is after the episode cuz i explained all that in my comment on the first episode and someone said "pretty sure they never said vinland is eastern canada" *facepalmed* it translates roughly to "the land of wild grapes" because the soil had never been cultivated and was so fertile. Also#2, guy that was on the bridge at the end was Thorkell the Tall who was fighting alongside Thors the Troll of Jom at the very start of the show. If you look back at that scene it shows that he is a battle hungry viking.

Vinland, as someone else mentioned before me, is supposed to be the East coast of Canada, around New-Brunswick and Newfoundland, as written in texts from that era (which are actually called "Vinland Sagas"). Greenland was already mentioned earlier, if I remember correctly Leif is from there. It's definitely not a warm, fertile land:DD

You're right! I tend to mix them up. Bluetooth was the king of Denmark and later Norway after 'uniting' the countries. All the kings with the similar names will forever get mixed up for me

In like 1100-1200 ish Leif Erickson sailed the ocean blue and met with the Native Americans there and traded with them on good terms but after that nobody found the America’s until the whole European invasion saga started with chrissy kunt
