YES let's goo, something to watch for dinner

Unlike AOT, There is no Art style or Animation change in season 2. It looks exactly the same as season 1, just a little bit more polished. So if you didn't know it before, you wouldn't be able to tell it's made by a different studio. Glad Mappa gave vinland season 2 a chance. It was not very successful in japan or in streaming services but they still produced it anyway.

bloody

Bro finally my peakland

C2-H5-OH

One of you said towards the end that they can't just make a whole season around a farm and still be good. It will be wonderful discovering how wrong you were there lol; wonderful for you and for all of us

Vivi ♡

Such a great start 😭

peak peak season

Dio

There shouldn't be mixed reviews, this season is even better than season 1 imo

jul ☽

FINALLY!! Also, I love how Carter loves the first episodes already. It only gets better y'all, trust the process!!

Dio

Carter goated opinion

alex anderson

The reason theres mixed reviews about the season is because there from the people that are into the shonens like dragon ball and naruto where theres action 90% of the time. They don’t understand that it makes no sense for the story to have that much fighting beings that the last season ended with thorfinn having no reason to fight anymore. This is where thorfinn finally gets some character development that the prologue lacked, since it was mainly closing up arcs for characters like askeladd and setting up the rest of the story for characters like thorfinn and canute.

Cation

Great reaction guys. I think it's important to delve in to these episodes without the hype from the crowd (comment section). It's still early to know where the show will go but it will without a doubt be worth it. In my honest opinion I think season 2 is better than 1.

Chrisiyyi

Season 2 is a slow going, but the later part of the season you get more action, not season 1 level of action, but pretty good action. I struggled with the first half a bit for the same reason some of you mentioned, its a lot slower action wise, but the episodes i am in now are very interesting, i think season 3 will go very hard. I see season 2 (or season 1 if you look at it like that) more of a building up new characters and building up the ones that still are from season 1, i see it basically as a build up for a new story. I think some of you might have a hard time just like i had with the first half, but i think atleast carter will love the first half of the season alot more.

Philbo
>>110550602

I’m just gonna say this now it’s definitely not 90% if anything it’s more like 40% it’s the Shonen people the others 40-50% dislike like for understandable reasons but everytime anyone voices any type of complaint about this season the whole community resorts to “go watch an anime with more action then” or some other dumbass response. So just FYI if you have any takes about disliking the season be ready to be cussed out and etc.

alex anderson
>>110550602

What are the other reasons that people dont like it cause im genuinely curious. I said 90% cause thats all i see on social media when it comes to this season is people complaining about the slow pacing.

Philbo
>>110550602

I honestly would explain but it would spoil the whole direction this season goes in lol so I definitely will elaborate when they get further since they actually look at the comments lol

Abigail Jerry

Keep an open mind be be willing to enjoy the AMAZING & CAPTIVATING story writing throughout this season. If you do that, y’all will have such a DEEPER connection to these characters and others you will meet. Season 1 and Season 2 are both top tier (for differnt reasons). And as someone who is all for action and such, this season truly one of the best storytelling ones. But there’s enough hype that you will get to see 🔥

adam

as an anime only watcher i kinda agree with starting the show from season 2, they could do that instead of making a whole season of prologue, just insert some flashback episodes in the middle of the season to pick up the pace i guess, that's just my opinion, but again maybe that's just the way it's written on the manga

Bryce

Trust the process guys! There are some sick episodes early on still, but the slower ones make the back half of the season PEAKLAND

adam
>>110550602

as an anime only watcher i think it's because we spent a whole season with lots of that shonen type stuff and the pacing change pretty abruptly, so people originally expect it to be the same vibe and pacing, if they made the prologue a bit shorter and made the time jump more seamless people would't compain as much, but again maybe that's just the way it's written on the manga

Mia Malvik

The language spoken in the beginning is old norse. Weirdly enough I understood a lot of it

Ben Martineau

If I had a nickels for everytime WIT animated an insane anime and handed it over to MAPPA after animating what is sometimes called the prologue and MAPPA started work after a huge time skip where the main character had some insane growth; I'd have two nickels which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice

AYAYAJUICER

Add chainsaw man yall will get so many views from the show it will be a perfect way to farm the fans before JJK S2 begins its very short too

Tate

Season 2 is unfathomably better than season 1, and as a manga reader, I'm hyped because of all the amazing seasons we have yet to come

MOB12

Thorfinn is small and will always be small lmao i believe he is 5'2. As a 22 year old man thats only 5'3, him being short is another great quality of him for me lmao Wolverine, Thorfinn, Levi. The Short King GOATS

Huxley Bennett
>>110550602

Yeah, as an anime only who loves season 2, it's annoying how there are critiques you can make but anytime you do the fanboys just rant about how you're dumb and just can't understand anything and go watch demon slayer you idiot. Like, saying you don't like one aspect of a show, or even just one episode, is not saying it's a terrible show and story

Philbo
>>110550602

Believe me I tried making that clear before lol and it changed nothing 😂 like me personally I don’t like this season and it has nothing to do with the action I honestly like there focusing on character development but I will just leave it at that for now

Mia Malvik

Huge Carter W tho. I had goosebumps constantly when I watched this for the first time

Bibi

Carter is me! I love character driven shows!

A_Daddy Daichi

Ugh peak is finally here!!! Get ready for lots of stellar voice acting, character development, dialogue, stunning shots, fantastic music... just amazing

Shpitz

dude that opening song really grew on me, I started from not liking it to being upset when they switch it for the 2nd half

adam
>>110550602

yeah facts, it's annoying like we can't have any discussion, they worshipped this show and kept saying like this is the best story ever written lol yes it's great but chill now

Dio
>>110550602

I am curious about what criticisms you guys have other than the slow start. I haven't heard much criticism besides that

A_Daddy Daichi

I think Einar is my favorite character behind Thorfinn this season for sure

kingkoopa98

lol I knew Carter would like this season the most. But still I'm super interested to see what you all think of this season regardless of whether you like it or not

Bibi

I think yall would enjoy watching Haikyuu plus that would show Cannon and Carter that there are various genres of anime! Time to diversify the experience 😊 AOT and Haikyuu are my favorite anime of all times! Never thought an anime about volleyball would become so dear to my heart 😔

L.C.

Gotta start off season 2 with another AOT comparison! Yipeeeee

Alyson Loza

So hyped for this! I always love Carter’s opinions 💯 I have a feeling Carter’s going to especially love this season. For everyone else, trust the process. This season really grew on me. Rewatching it a second time with ya’ll make me hyped even more 😎

L.C.

They don't understand that shorter people exist? Just because Thors was big doesn't mean Thorfinn will be. In fact its better for him to be on the smaller side. People judge a book by its cover. You wouldn't expect him to be insanely fast, insanely well skilled, and just generally being smaller fits well with knifes being your chosen action of combat.

leo martinez

as someone who has read the manga this is just the tip of the iceberg This is my fav/Anime and manga no other manga made me shed a tear like this. Looking forward to all your future reactions

Philbo
>>110550602

I will gladly let you know criticisms of the show once they get pretty caught up cause I would like to avoid spoiling anything for them. I don’t want to give them any reasons to start avoiding the comments.

Takari

Thorfinn was starving from a young age, that might be the reason why he hasn't grown much

lola

Just finished ep 23 and I’m so jealous that you guys get to experience peak back to back… tears have been shed. VS is my fav anime of all time after this season. The pace will not be what you guys are used to but the depth of this show beats all and every action fighting scene, in my book. I really hope you guys enjoy this season. I can’t wait to see your reactions!

WSaburo

Holy, I cannot wait for the episode 9 reaction. I'm not done with the season but my god there is one moment that gave me chills I've never gotten from any episode of anything...

James

Just as Yukimura wrote Askeladd's character for Thorfinn in season 1, he wrote Einar for him in season 2. As you can already tell, Einar is going to be a good friend for Thorfinn. The writing is still good with the farm setting. It symbolizes growth and perseverance along with many other themes (but the main theme is violence and you'll know what Yukimura's anti-violence message by the end of this season). Remember, Isayama's inspiration for creating Attack on Titan came from his experience with growing up on a farm that was surrounded by mountains.

Ale

I just know that Carter is going to absolutely love this season. There is actually not a big time skip since the S1 finale, it's more or less a year (or even less that that) so you wouldn't see Thorffin that different. Also, he is small, I guess from all that malnourishment when he was a kid. Hope you guys are enjoying so far!!

Rashad T

A good portion of the AOT Final Season staff worked on one of the episodes this season. Won't say which one but, It's fantastic of course.

ᑭᔕ2 ᖇeᗪ ᔕcreen of ᗪeᗩtᕼ T Y P E B E A T

ngl, while I get this whole „not watching the OP“ due to potential spoilers in most cases its unnecessary and exaggerated. On the contrary, me personally I‘m always getting so hyped whenever a new opening is on the screen.. Just my opinion though

Ibrahim
>>110630338

I second this, watching all the op's at once does not sound like a good idea, to me at least..

CHIEF
>>110630338

It was OK for AoT where especially some had major spoilers but even then it wasn't in context, so I agree, it doesn't work even as well with other shows

That Anemic Guy
>>110630338

Agreed. And I don't like the idea of watching all the OPs of the shows they're watching back to back in one big video. Don't want them to start comparing openings or picking favorites instead of just experiencing and enjoying each one for what it is.

boop
>>110630338

plus sometimes they accidentally see bits and pieces of openings anyway

Huxley Bennett
>>110630338

Yeah sometimes it's bad, but most of the time you're not gonna get anything out of it before you know even when it does actually show stuff. AoT's pretty bad if you really pay attention, but even then the only one that's a big problem is s4p2 - which is pretty ridiculous tbf

M2GZ
>>110630338

Yah it’s sorta annoying honestly, I just hope that they atleast watch the op’s once they finish each series. Hope the boys convince Carter his idea of watching all the shows op’s at the end of the year is pretty stupid.

Sleeleelee

I think you guys would like the new Crunchyroll series, Hell's Paradise. So far, it's an amazing show to watch.

esie ♡︎

PEAKLAND. Thorfinn is my everything 😭♥️

Ladnon

Day 22 of letting you guys know of the masterpiece that is Code Geass

Riya

Still miss Askeladd tho... Thorfinn and Askeladd dynamic was the game changer for me in S1

icynub

I hope jjk0 is tonight 🥺😭😭😭

The RZA

:( i feel like schedules are like meteorologist lvl of reliability...hope nothing tragic happened in last 4 days or ill have to punch myself

Huxley Bennett

Anyone on the discord know what's happening? I'm not about to get discord and set it up just for this page, and I'm sure most of us would be completely fine with delays if we knew what was going on (or even if we were just told to expect one), but man I wish we knew what to expect

Hesham Mohamed

WATCH HXH PLEASE IM BEGGING ITS THE BEST ANIME OAT

Huxley Bennett
>>110845131

4 days without a post or any comment. Sure it's not *exactly* a delay since they haven't said an actual schedule (as far as I've seen), but tbh that's really what I was talking about and just said delay for this instance. I mean they're charging Netflix/Amazon Prime kinda prices and we don't even know if we'll get an episode for days. It's obviously not the same situation and I wouldn't expect or ask that kind of production from them, but I'm not. This is the longest gap between posts as far as I remember, but people have asked them for a schedule for quite a while now, and again I'd honestly be okay with having to wait however long, if I knew what I was getting and when.

Cookie
>>110845131

But if you have the highest tier, then the videos come out on weekends. So starting today we’ll get the videos.

Stoke me a clipper
>>110845131

They usually just post on two days, usually Sat/Sun for me (maybe Fri depending on your time zone). We've got them more spread out recently because they've been busy or had issues with uploads.

Huxley Bennett
>>110845131

Huh, so they upload on the weekends and simply spread them through the week for lower tiers? Ok thanks, that clears it up a lot

lola
>>110560928

I’m so happy to hear this because I loved this season and it solidified this anime as my favorite of all time as of now. I don’t care about the pacing cause I prefer deep shit than mindless action scenes. But with that said I’m sooooo hyped for what’s to come as a non-manga reader!!

Cookie
>>110845131

Yes! The highest tier gets videos one week ahead on weekends and the uncut tier is just the YouTube schedule (one vid a day) but uncut obviously lol.

bloody

Are you guys ok? Youre uploading on youtube so you should be ok, hope to see more vinland

Ladnon

I feel like we might get a death note binge here in a bit of time :)

lola

Are y’all planning on starting Chainsaw Man? Cause u should!!

CHIEF
>>110851081

That's my favorite anime but it's definitely gonna be weird for Cannon and Carter, I'm dying to see some of their reactions to it, and it'd be one they could just churn out episodes (hopefully)

CHIEF

I don't want to just complain about not having content, I just think we would be absolutely fine with it if yall posted schedules or outlines in the beginning of the week so at least we know if there's gonna be a gap, I hear there's a discord I just never use that unfortunately. Maybe it has something to do with the new site I think someone mentioned? Idk, not upset, just kinda hate doing my daily check-in and not knowing

Mr. Simpson
>>110883695

This is not any of their main hustles or focus. Them putting out a schedule and then not being able to commit to it would be worse than no schedule at all. Set up Patreon notifications for your email and you'll be notified whenever they upload. They've consistently uploaded on the weekends, sometimes Mondays if they miss an upload Friday Saturday or Sunday.

CHIEF
>>110883695

Yeah fair enough, they did that for a few weeks I just really liked those

XVII IV

"Lords of the village get up to ONE WEEK of early access to RAW, UNCUT footage of our reaction videos. ANIME SCREEN AVAILABLE!" im a level below and i m waiting 13 days almost for you to unlock VS 2,3 2,4, not mad just disappointed

Sasha

Carter went mad.

Arnheid and gardar in the intro is so sick tbh
