Bibi

I am glad that you guys are doing well...ngl I got worried that something happened 😢 can't wait for more vinland saga, death note and jjk0 💕

Philbo

just gonna say this one more time lol as you have seen. BE VERY CAREFUL about what you say about this season or else they will come at you for every non-positive thing you say about this season lol

Melizé

So stoked about the movie!

Riya

back from "scream" and still last ;D

Dio
>>110898226

Philbo can you chill lol. There have been plenty of criticisms of the show in discord without anyone getting mad. You are over exaggerating

Bibi

I have a feeling that Carter and Canon will get emotional and shed some tears in this season..truly a peak season for me 🥰

Cation

Just scratching the surface my boys.. This show is goated for a reason and this season will delivery more

LupusRex69

I hope you do a Gundam series and FMAB at some point.

L.C.

This reaction really shows more of the mindset of normie anime watchers. Watching anime like garbage slayer and AOT really makes you turn into zombies. Everything has to be "edgy" and "cool". How many times do you have to restate that Thorfinn will beat everyone around him? Character progression actually happens in certain anime and it isn't just flashy edgy shit. Although people that don't acknowledge that AOT fell off after the timeskip and those same people that think garbage slayer is amazing just cause it has cool flashy fights will have a hard time handling character writing and a story that isn't just flashy fights and edgy over the top type of shit

L.C.
>>110898226

No one should be watching vinland saga if they only care about edgy violence. Its those same people that only care about that stuff that have immature takes on this season.

L.C.
>>110900060

Gonna see how many people get upset at this :) cause its true

Nonos
>>110900060

Bro first, chill they’re still learning how this season will be bro. They’ll understand the point of this arc as they go on. And second chill tf out on the aot hate. Stop acting like AOT is just cool, edgy show, don’t compare it to demon slayer. Season 4 is literally peak AOT, plot twists, emotional moments. Don’t know wtf are u talking about

Marcus Bae
>>110900060

Definitely agree that it's funny to see the "haters" be the ones really resonating and engaging with the show at it's core level in the moment to moment compared to the others, but your AoT take is heavy ???? energy

bondbond53
>>110900060

'Gonna see how many people get upset at this :) cause its true' I'm 14 and I'm edgy

nans

really appreciate y’all’s honesty whenever you react! I love season 2, love the manga, but it’s takes time to adjust to the pacing of season 2 and there shouldn’t be hate from ppl who have already watched the season in regards to any critiques y’all might have (not even critiques but comments in general). Just enjoy the story, trust the process, and as the saying goes comparison is the killer of enjoyment lol (in regards to other shows).

James

It's also important to have that backstory for episode 9, and that episode has hit people to the core.

Arnobio

can you taste the peak?

Ninjinzo

there's an action sequence mappa posted on their youtube which you could watch. It's basically episode 4.5 of just action. Check it out if you may.

Ninjinzo
>>110900060

aye u gotta relax cos 1, they just started the season which is drastically different (in a good way) which they yet are slowly grasping as the season is going. They'll understand fully how amazing this season is after each episode. Also 2, dont hate on aot mane to prove a point.

Matthew Valentine

If y’all liked how everything connected from ep 1 of season 1 to the finale then I think you’ll really like this season because it does that better imo and on a much bigger scale per character

Gabe
>>110899528

Any gundam would make me cry tears of joy. I haven’t seen a single gundam show on any reactors channels

Ale

I appreciate you guys honest opinion, that's why I'm here. People will always bitch about opinions they don't agree with, but please don't stop stating what you actually feel. (When you get to episode 6, Mappa uploaded some sort of "6.5 chapter" to their YouTube channel https://youtu.be/HSwWYEUhIYc it's just a tiny scene that actually doesn't affect anything if you guys watch it or no, but would be good if you do, it's like 2 minutes).

Fedei

Just want to make a statement to whoever sees this, don't hype up a episode (like which one will have battles or which one is dialogue), don't hype up a character (even if they stated that they hate/like them at first) just don't put crazy expectation for these guys just give them brief explanation if they interpret something off or if they get confused with some events but that's it. Let them watch and express how they feel about each episode, good or bad. I love this season more then they other one but it's up to them if they do or not.

you are judjing it too early . most people including myself love this season cause of last 8-10 episode . they just started s2 . it is slow start .

Watch game of thrones

adam
>>110902718

well said can't be more agree! most anime only watcher afraid to voice their opinion/critiques

Fedei
>>110909676

I'm with you on this it's just last season there were people who hyped up episodes to a point were they kinda predicted the events, like with Canute, two of the guys disliked Canute which was very understandable but people kept saying oh you hate him now but he's gonna be a badass later, didn't ruin the reaction but it was like they were just waiting for the upgrade.

adam

tbh as someone who never read the manga i struggled to keep interest while watching this season on the first few episodes, binge watching it or watching it back to back like u guys did will make it better unlike us who watched it once a week lol but again the wait will pay off and the pacing will get better! i really do appreciate the honesty

A_Daddy Daichi

The lost look on thorfinn’s face kills me every time

Abigail Jerry

Ooooo oooo yes. Get into itttt! Please please, stick with it. You’ll be soooo glad you did 🔥

Frizen
>>110900060

You talk like someone who was a normie their entire life until they saw Vinland saga who now thinks themselves intellectually superior because they finally watched a show that isn't about fighting.

april 🍏

You guys talking about whether or not Thorfinn had a choice because of the environment he grew up in is actually a major theme of the show. You'll notice how in season 1 (and hugely in this season) how war and being a warrior is glorified and it causes people to become these violence-driven monsters. In their culture, if you don't *want* to die in battle you're seen as weak and are an outcast. I don't think you're wrong Cannon for saying that Thorfinn had a choice, because he definitely did - he chose leave Lief and follow Askelaad after his father died rather than going home to Iceland, but like the guys were bringing up, the path he chose was nurtured by the environment of the "warrior" mindset he was surrounded with and his own naivity because he was only 6. Think of how excited all the young men in his home village in Iceland were when they found out they were going to war - the only one who had a different opinion was Thors, and that's because he had actually seen war. Love the discussion and that you liked this episode! It's definitely a slow start but I do think that it's purposeful. After the intensity of Season 1, it's setting the pace for this season, but I can see you all getting way more invested in the character growth.

Audreyldo

Season 2 is so painful but also soo beautiful ✨ thorfinn’s development is insane

Far
>>110900060

The difference between "i have no enemies" vs "i have no b****es". My brother in Christ, respectfully, you need to calm down. Why are you getting so upset?

Far

PEAKLAND

moonlightdove

i believe thorfinn saw askeladd as a brief flashback and a natural instinct type of thing due to his past trauma. also, the way that thorfinn's ptsd is handled this season genuinely left me in tears due to the accuracy. it really hit home for me

Maverick

Anime of the year

Audreyldo

You skip the opening 💔💔 and the ending is sooo good

Mia Malvik

Thorfinn having lost all reason to stay alive seriously gets to me. It's impossible to see your own situation objectively and appreciate the good things when things get that dark. Anyway, great reaction bois. Loved all your thoughts. There's really no right or wrong way to feel or think about this season, you can only reflect. I think that's mostly what it's all about

szeth
>>110898226

Nah this is facts, some people can't seem to comprehend that other logical people disagree with them. I didn't love second half of s2 but that's fine that it is still popular but then you get people like L.C. in this thread, "only care about edgy violence." Like no I love plenty of other shows and I don't only love violence but this season just didn't do it for me why can't I be allowed that opinion without being called emotionally unintelligent?

szeth
>>110900060

Yeah you called yourself out on this one... you complain about edgy 14 yr olds and then get all gleeful at getting a rise out of others lmao. As for the actual point, I actually agree with you on Demon Slayer it is just too bland of a story for me. I could also list off a bunch of nonviolent anime that are some of my favorites and yet s2 of Vinland Saga didn't do it for me. Am I a 14 yr old edgy kid that only cares about violence or maybe I am also a logical adult that came to a different conclusion than you about a show and that's fine

Philbo
>>110898226

Fucking thank you lol It’s honestly ridiculous, like I voiced how in MY OPINION that I think this season is bad for reasons that gave nothing to do with the lake of action but they spun that and called me a dumbass, not understanding the meaning behind some of the shit that happens later and etc. lol like If you love this season then by all means love it, nothing against them but don’t get on my dick for not liking this season lol (this happened on someone else’s Patreon)

szeth
>>110898226

@Philbo Yeah same for me on Yaboyroshi's patreon, the only other one I have that is watching VS and it was everywhere there lol, it is what it is I guess. And sure there were some wild people just bashing it for no reason saying it was like a 1/10 but it is a small minority and I would probably disagree with them even more than those who say s2 is better than s1 and yet I get tossed in with them no matter what without hearing me out. Like tbh, just personal opinion, but I'd rate s1 like 9-9.5 and s2 like maybe 7 not enough to give it an 8 for me but that's chill cuz its just my opinion lol

lola
>>110900060

Let me say one thing… I get that it’s frustrating hearing people say they want to see action in this season. I’m sure you’ve heard the criticisms more than enough times but you have to understand the prologue has confused everyone who’s never read the manga bc of how much it shifts. They’re still learning about the new world Thorfinn finds himself in. I’ve never read the manga but I spoiled myself by reading some stuff and so I knew what this season would be like and where this story was headed. Now that I know, I appreciate it a lot more. So just give these guys a break, let them figure out what VS is about. There’s no reason to spread so much hate and negativity towards the guys due to innocent ignorance.

szeth
>>110898226

@Philbo Also, noticing ur last comment, I do have to point out that the people who complaining I don't get the meaning yet on the that parts I found boring(not in a nonviolent way but just not a lot happened just to be clear) and that they are important because they tie in later, how am I supposed to know that lol I'm not a manga reader but if s3 gives new context to s2 and makes me love it? I am totally down for that but we aren't there yet so why cant they be patient lol

lola

I’m gonna be honest with you guys… don’t read the comments. Just react to the episodes normally. Trust me on this. You guys will get spoiled one way or another whether that be with people hyping up characters, episodes or just being straight up negative. I don’t want the comments to put a damper for you guys on possibly one of the best animes. I love all of your opinions and it’s funny to hear you guys say certain things that even I thought of as I watched these eps for the first time. Keep doing your thing!! Don’t let anyone’s opinions shake you. You’re doing great!!

Philbo
>>110898226

That’s literally why I was saying to be careful for what they say cause if you say you dislike one thing about this arc. The VS community is coming for your damn neck lol. I think mine was in Yaboyroshi’s as well or RTTV. I agree season 1 is like. 9-9.5 but for me I think this season is like 4 maybe a 5, it’s mainly just because visually it’s beautiful and a good scores

szeth
>>110950713

Its just people's opinions its not that big of a deal, and as they have said before they will make their own opinions separate from what others think. If you actually think they shouldn't interact with their community you have low expectations on their ability to form their own opinions lol

szeth
>>110900060

@p. s. But it’s not even innocent ignorance, unless you are saying that s3 will change my look on s2 to that large of a degree, it’s just my opinion which is just as valid as yours. It isn’t that I’m an edgy child, ignorant, or whatever. It is just we watched the same thing and came to two different conclusions because that beauty of life is we are all different

szeth
>>110902718

Yeah I feel like comparison is the killer of enjoyment is 100% true when comparing separate shows but when it’s parts of the same show I think it’s a bit different and is fine lol. Like ofc when comparing you gotta be fair and take the shift in this show into account but you can compare other things fine

Far

Don't sweat the negative comments. The vast majority of Vinland enjoyers had the same exact experience as you guys. Don't mind the few bad apples that ruin our reputation

Vernus

Parasyte after jjk movie!!!!

szeth
>>110955507

Bro wdym a few bad apples ruin our reputation? Who is hurting the reputation all I see is people sharing their opinion which is completely fine. Some people don’t like s2 as much and they are entitled to that opinion correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t see anyone doing it disrespectfully

lola
>>110950713

There’s people being incredibly rude and nasty for no reason in the comments. It’s not about the show nor is it an issue of whether or not they can formulate their own opinions, it’s about the negativity around it bc of the fans.

lola
>>110900060

@szeth I literally wasn’t talking to you lmao I was talking about the original comment from LC.

Aliyah

React to hunterxhunter it’s such a great anime omg

Aliyah

Plz react to hunterxhunter

Aliyah

It has great arcs and tropes

O

I know yall have alot of shows your watching currently but I think Hell's Paradise would be a good anime to think about watching after you finish one of your current shows.

szeth
>>110900060

@p. s. Lol I know but I felt like you still didn’t accurately describe the fact other people have different but still reasonable opinions. He blamed it on only caring about violence while you said it’s just ignorance but I don’t believe it’s either, it’s just a different opinion

Mikey N
>>111012620

Nah theres way too many better anime they havent watched yet.

Jasmin Baus

Hey, I dont comment on patreon much but thought i'd just say a little somthing. if season 2 isn't for you in the first couple episodes i think thats completely fine. For me having watched the whole season 2 that finished airing today. season 2 has become one of my favourite arcs from a anime ever. but i understand if the first few eps dont grip you. i do think that once you've seen more you'll see the beauty of this new story but at the end of the day it might not be for everyone. still hope you'll enjoy it, cant wait for more reaction to upcoming eps : )

Cation
>>111115766

I agree. First episodes can be a bit slow pace unlike season 1. But it's so worth it, this season went down as one of the greatest seasons ever. Just a bit more patience and I think they'll love this one.

Kite

Cannon said (I think it's cannon), "Einar it's exactly what Thorfinn needs", and I remembered an interview where the author says that Einar is a character made for Thorfinn, he also says the same thing for Askeladd.
