I just watched the next few a episodes on my own for the first time and I really liked them !?!?!? Why are people hating on the second half

people act like their opinions are facts,, i love the second half too!!

I think that the transition from Light losing his memory to the second half turns people off because I used to always just stop on episode 17 every time for some reason but now that I finally gave it a chance I’m really enjoying it

The “second half” people hate on is episodes 26-37. The main reason is because the anime is rushed (adapts the remaining 50 chapters into 11 episodes). Thus a lot of the deduction and logical aspects of the anime are shortened and rushed, making some plot developments feel lame or nonsensical. Some also don’t like the introduction of a couple characters. These problems are mitigated in the manga.

Ohhh! That’s where I stopped, that makes sense!! So far till 25 it’s great but maybe I spoke too soon.

McKay doesn’t usually need to say much…it’s usually written all over his face 😂. His AOT reactions were hilarious.

Carrie

This episode arguably has the only part where you miss out by not watching dub. Sub translation just doesn’t hit the same as: “I can’t live in a world without Light!” L, deadpan delivery, “Yes, that would be dark.”

Sean Carroll

do you know of a website i can read the manga, I was not aware the last portion was so shortened

Shiro

Yes, that line is definitely the best part of the dub, but just that one for me, otherwise I am mostly in favor of sub. Though L's Eng VA is really very good I have to admit.

Kite

episodes 20 and 21 are unlocked but 18 and 19 aren't 😭
