What an incredible ending to an all time season of anything ever

Comments

Bibi

I literally cried this whole episode!

JayPierlis

I knew the second i finished s2 that i just watched something legendary for years to come

James

And some people are saying that season 3 of Vinland Saga may not come for another 2-3 years.

celery

thorfinns glowup at the end tho 😩

nans

The ending of this season was absolutely legendary. CANT WAIT FOR THE BALTIC SEA ARC NEXT!!

Shakir

Peak Ending. Enough content left for 2 seasons minimum and it’s (imo) equally as peak

James

For anyone a little confused by the ending, I believe this is showing the people who had the greatest impact on Thorfinn’s life, and at the age they began their individual journeys. Thorfinn is about to start his journey, and it’ll be an adventure with very high moments as well as very low moments; there will be a lot more fighting, and death, but there will also be peace, and new life. Also, if you rewatch the end of season 1, you’ll see three characters: a woman wearing green climbing up a mountain with some guy, a young girl on a beach around some figures that were drawn in the sand, and Einar on his way to eventually meet Thorfinn. I’ll just say that we haven’t met the women and young girl yet……

Glad you all enjoyed this season so much. I prefer season 2 to season 1, but they're both amazing. I'm not a manga reader but I've heard that only half the manga has been covered by the anime, and the manga is still ongoing so I'm guessing we'll get 2-3 more seasons.

esie ♡︎

Such an amazing end to the season!! So sad our Vinland journey is done for now. Thank you for the uploads 😭🫶🏻

James

For those who want to continue with the story, and don't mind spending money on manga, Book 8 (Chapters 101 - 115) will start off where we left off from season 2.

A_Daddy Daichi

Sadness hitting me all over again with VS ending 😭 Season 2 tops season 1 for me. It was truly so beautiful and I’m so glad you guys covered VS! Thanks for the uploads and I can’t wait for season 3

Ale

It's the end at last 😢 That scene almost at the end where small Thorffin ask big Thorffin "where does people that want to scape from here go?" is actually something that he asked Thors on that same spot at the end of S1E1, but at that time Thors doesn't answer, he just pats his head, now he "tells him" that he already knows the answer, aaaaah the feels 😭❤️ I love this season, I'm with Brig, I don't think S1 can be compared with S2 because they are too different, but I definitely like S2 more. I like the detail at the end, the anime shows importar people in Thorffin's life at the start of their journey (his parents, Leif and Askeladd) and then they show Thorffin at the beginning of his to reach Vinland. Next arc is, as of now, my favorite! I absolutely love every character that gets introduce there, hopefully we don't have to wait that much for a S3 announcement. Thank you guys for giving this show a chance ♥️

kaan

No more Peakland for years 😭 I loved season 1 but season 2 took it to an another level and VS became my 2nd favorite anime (1. Evangelion and 3. AoT). I haven't watched a lot of anime so that doesn't say much :D Also, to the scene Jackson was referring to: "ONE PIECE... DOES EXISTS!"

Ben Martineau

Rewatching this season with y’all honestly cemented this show as my number one of all time, Thorfinn and Einar is a Frodo and Sam level friendship tbh

Mysterious Figure

I imagine it's so scary in McKays head. We can never know his thoughts seems like. I wish we could. I like McKay. :) For me, the hardest part to watch was when Helga held Thorfinn's face and recognized her husband in her son's eyes. Made me think of my own life experiences. Life's tough.

I love this show and manga so much. I love me a good battle shonen every now and then but watching masterpieces like this is what it's all about. Following Thorfinn on his journey of hatred and strife to redemption and rebirth has been amazing. Season 2 is by FAR my favorite of the two, but what i love about this is story, is that even though season 1 was a prologue - it's still so cohesive. I also love how intentional is was that Thorfinn had no personality beyond revenge in the first season. It makes his gradual change and realization at his own emptiness so powerful when the time comes. The addition of Einar was also so important. How Thorfinn stopped Einar from falling into his same path of revenge and how Einar's personality and big heart added so much to Thorfinn. Such a masterpiece. I'm so excited for Season 3 (whenever it comes out). I think once this series is finished it will go down as being one of the greatest of all time. It already is to me.

We need that opening reactions pronto!

lola

No because you guys don’t understand… you guys picking S2 over S1 is everything I needed and more 😭🥹💗. Anyone who picks S1 over 2, I’m sorry to say this, is honestly not mentally mature enough to understand the depth of this whole arc. This season skyrocketed Vinland as my number 1 anime of all time and I’ve seen A LOT. AOT and VS were kinda battling it out in my mind but it’s just not even close anymore. And the crazy thing is that I’ve heard Manga readers saying there’s so much more in store that is going to blow us away. We haven’t even scratched the surface. I love WIT but MAPPA DID THAT! Ughhhh I can’t wait for S3 which was already announced and will be coming out maybe in the next year or two. It’s been such a ride y’all… thank you for reliving this series with us!! 🥰🫶

they're doing all op's for all the shows they've watched at the end of the year (not sure why, but that's the plan lol)

pyx

peakland

YoItsNiko
>>115098521

bro u weird. some people just like action more, it doesnt mean they arent mentally mature enough to understand it. its not that deep

Sigh Berian

Controversial take: S1>S2

adam
>>115098521

so difference preference = not mentally mature lol and no AOT is an all time great

rosa_gris

I had a stupid grin the entire episode. It’s so cathartic seeing everything come to a full circle. The story feels complete, but it also feels like there’s so much left to tell. Following Thorfinn’s journey and seeing all the people who have influenced his transformation thus far has been emotional. I’m glad I got to experience this all again through your reaction videos.

lunchbag9

dont worry, it literally just keeps getting better and better from here on out. the content they will cover next season is brilliant, hild is the best character of all time and the constant conflict thorfinn is put into is amazing.

>>115107182

Just depends on what you want out of a show. s1 was in your face action (loved it) and s2 was deep af character development (also loved it)

Abigail Jerry

And this is why I said season 1 and season 2 are par to par with each other. They are both great for their own reasons. Vinland saga is most definitely one of the best animes out there. Whoever hasn’t seen it because it’s “mid”… is missing out

James
>>115087710

The story may not seem all that extraordinarily good and unique at first in book 8 (still good), but as Brig would say, trust the process as you’ll come across one of the most intense moments in VS.

Samael
>>115107182

I think they're both easily #1 but just completely different aspects that make em just as good despite their differences. It's like what they said in the video Season 1 and Season 2 may be totally opposite yet they are like Yin & Yang.

Henrique I. Pereira

All I'm going vaguely say about what's the next season going focus on is: some stuff happens before they can go to Vinland, and it's stuff you've been wanting to see. Also, great reactions, you guys skyrocketed to the top of my list of reaction channels.

James

One last thing, Thorfinn's character designer had left a clue in one of his tweets which could be hinting that season 3 of Vinland Saga is already in the works by MAPPA, so there's hope it'll come out in 2024.

Sigh Berian
>>115098521

I'm mentally not mature enough to want to watch a show about a child soldier who turns pacifist and lets everyone beat him up and walk all over him for the whole season. Also, I'm just too dumb to realize that all you need to do to stop violence is to escape halfway across the world to build a utopia where everyone lives happily ever after.

Sigh Berian
>>115107182

yeah watching your MC get beat up the whole season just for him to realize that all he needs to do to atone for his past murders is to sail halfway across the world and violently takeover some other people's land, and build his utopia where everyone lives happily ever after. Definitely more interesting than watching some boring revenge story with tons of action.

Kim555

eating kfc while sobbing to this. I look so goofy

Kim555

how did they go from great to all mighty is crazy

Cookie

Beautiful episode 🥹

>>115107182

Violently take over…? Brother you watching the same show I am? If so you got some mental deficiency for sure lol.

sleepymiffi

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR REACTING TO VINLAND SAGE S1 AND 2! that anime deserves so much love, truly a masterpiece! I loved every single reaction video u posted, this journey has been a great one <3 <3

I'm Literally Shinei Nouzen

Vinland Saga does not receive the attention it deserves. It's hands down my favorite anime, interchangeable only with Hunter x Hunter.

Audreyldo

No VS videos anymore 😭 so sad

Dapper Dad

I assume someone's commented this at some point before, but imagine if you two hadn't given anime another chance with AoT

Blake Wells

In the manga its clarified that the gold they left behind for the Farm was used to help rebuild and pay back the hurt families

Dylan Roy

you have to remember that Helga helped make thors the goat if she hadn't forced thors to name ylva there's a good chance he never changes from the war driven warrior he was up until then

Sasha
>>115306717

For me hunter x hunter is just average anime. Slightly better than One Piece.

Sasha

Carter not wanting to spoil his list yet? But this season is his all time season of anything? I think mine too.

Nico

Kind of not understanding some peoples points here. Liking s1 more than s2 doesnt make them a dumb or mentally immature person. Liking s1 more doesnt make s2 bad at all. Different people have different tastes, doesnt mean they dont understand the themes that the show tries to convey, thats all. I love s2. But s1 is everything to me. And that is my bias. Either way, both seasons are peak.
