Hello folks!

It's been a busy month so far, and you might have noticed that my frequency of videos has increased. I'm batching the Q&A chats so that I've always got something to go out on Mondays and Fridays. People seem to be finding those 10 minute topical discussions helpful, and having the schedule stacked a month in advance is likely to leave me with more free time to work on higher-quality longform things in the gaps.

The itch jam page is now up for MVGJAM https://itch.io/jam/mvg-jam-2025. When the jam starts on Aug 1st, I'll drop a video with a link to check out the music. From there, those of you who want to take part will be able to pick out a song and start coming up with a playable concept to fit. There's more info about the rules of the jam - and the reasoning behind it - in the link above.

Also, don't forget to tune in for our Level Design talk at the end of the month... it's not an area I'm super well-versed in, having done it a little professionally but in a weird range of games. But I think we'll still find plenty to talk about, and I'll be sifting through information from other sources, both good and bad - to find what I think will be most applicable to you guys and the games you're working on.

Coming up later in the month, I'll be recording the 3rd epsiode of the Game Developers' Library, this time covering Schell's Art of Game Design: a Book of Lenses.

Thank you for all your support so far, and those of you with premium subscriptions - I hope you are getting value out of the Discord community.

Have a good rest of the month and good luck with your projects.
