Upcoming Live Discord Seminar [10/06/2026] on "Designing Difficulty" (Patreon)

Hello folks,

I'm running a live seminar at 18:30 GMT this Wednesday to take you through some of the content I have planned for the upcoming video essay on Designing Difficulty. Thanks to everyone who has helped out already in the Discord server by posing questions or giving examples as I tried to get a feel for what people wanted to know.

The seminar will basically be me running through some slides and examples I intend to use in the next video. I'm doing this for multiple reasons;

to test whether the content makes sense and running order is intuitive/helpful to people, and to give you an opportunity to chime in with questions and ideas.

to offer patrons an additional behind-the-scenes event they can join in with, especially as this video has been taking a while to get ready due to CollabJam-related delays.

I've scheduled the seminar at a time when the largest amount of members are likely to be able to attend.

If you're a paid member but you're not on Discord much, there's a SUPER SECRET link below the picture which should take you to the event so you can set a reminder for it.

[should out to Maddy Vian for providing some art for this talk/essay... I haven't quite worked out how I'm going to use it yet, but I will!]
