Finally the Bricks and Mini-Figs investigation is here. 50+ minutes long, and several new discoveries I haven't seen anywhere else.

I got so many messages from you here on Patreon and Youtube asking me to take a look at a $200,000 lego collection that went missing mysteriously on November 14th, 2024.

What followed was a story that consumed my life for several sleepless nights.

I took a look at all the possible suspects who had opportunity, who've been accused by other people involved, and spoke to everyone.

After a huge amount of original research, analysis, interviews, photos, I'm finally ready to find where the $200,000 missing Lego is. Super proud of this one.

I mean this in all seriousness: The answer will surprise you.

Coffee what do you think about Reckless Bens coverage of this case? Second if I can what do you think about the conspiracy theories revolving around the situation?

BAM present a such a good image of themselfs suing Bryan Mansell after ripping him of LEGO and Gofundme

First, Coffee is the detective we need but do not deserve. Wonderfully made glad I subscribed again. Second, I honestly came in thinking it was all BAM’s fault but there is definitely blame on both sides. With that said BAM messed up and should do everything to make things right as they are suuuuppper shady.

BAM CEO: “That sheet is the first I’m ever seeing this we had no information” - Ya that’s the problem you didn’t look into this at all and just expected a normal person to lose thousands of dollars and it not be a big deal because it isn’t to your large corporation

At 17:40, I don’t believe he even typed in the serial number. You can hear the difference between that and the previous serial number he types in. Just says he doesn’t have it

Ask all the parties if they are willing to cooperate in finding the Legos sets... maybe they will all be brought together and see what's what? ;)

Did you ever reach out to any former employees that worked under Crystal? Whoever was keeping track of sales on days when she wasn’t working might have some answers to some of this.

Someone is clearly lying if their story changes to the facts instead of the story matching the facts from the get go. And it is amazing how easily the McNeffs lie.

You should look into the "Legally Mine" side of the McNeff business cinematic universe. It's LLC's within LLC's within LLC's to protect assets, hide, obfuscate, they keep changing names, they've been in trouble already with the legal system, Ammon sued his Dad who owned Legally Mine, and were accused of pulling money from Legally Mine into BAM. The original Legally Mine LLC changed their name on May 21st (bens first video), now called LM Oldco LLC, and created another Legally Mine LLC in name very recently. This was discovered in a 4 hour deep dive on "BJC Live Show"

The problem is Coffezilla is assuming the 'store records' given to them by B&M corporate are correct. I would think without a proper forensic audit, just claiming that 'about twice the amount was sold' is a bit of a long stretch, given how often the B&M corporate has changed their story, and now they claim 'We found new books that secretly show...', how can you trust any numbers coming from B&M, even supposedly sales numbers from the Oregon store... I was dissapointed that Coffezilla just assumed those numbers are valid, Chrystal doesn't have the original records herself, so the only people presenting them are B&M corporate, and it is absolutely in their interest to present far more sales then happened. I want to see a full forensic audit of the numbers that both B&M and Chyrstal records show, and also what Brian was paid. As well as valid sales records of the sets. To be honest, my guess is the pictures will show sets still in the store, that B&M will claim were already sold by Chrystal in their 'magicaly new sales records', and that will present a real window into who is telilng the truth or not...

The first thing I thought when I saw this story was "when is Coffeezilla going to get involved" your reporting is far and beyond some of the greatest in journalism period. The attention to detail, transparency, and integrity is what everyone in this industry should strive for. Thank you for another incredible video.

You can disagree with Ben’s tactics all day but no Ben, no public scrutiny. No public scrutiny, no Coffee audit. Coffee found messy recordkeeping and corrected parts of the story. Good, that’s what proper auditing (truly impressive given the incomplete data) is supposed to do, and if anything it’s a lesson for Ben to tighten his methods going forward. What Coffee didn’t prove is that a normal person dealing with a $500M company should need a YouTuber, a forensic accountant, and years of litigation to figure out who owes them their property. That’s what resonated with people. At some point, “it’s the previous owner,” “it’s the new owner,” “it’s the franchise,” and “it’s not corporate” stops sounding like accountability and starts sounding like everyone passing the buck without any real intent to make the customer whole. That’s exactly why consumer protections exist. And the purpose of LLCs, franchises, and corporate structures is to clearly allocate responsibility… not make it impossible to find. If the customer can’t tell who is responsible, the system has already failed.

I bet that guys wife recognizes this behavior.

People have GOT to see this! This is how investigative journalism should be done!

We should be looking into that corrupt department in American Fork

May that minifig get to enjoy some rest at lego set 6416 🌴🙏

To me there is a big difference between the behavior of Chrystal and the behavior of Josh/Brandon. Even if Chrystal should have transferred some of the payments more promptly (I'd be interested to know how late they were relative to the sale - was it weeks, or was it months? We don't know at this point), it's not unusual for a spreadsheet to be not fully up-to-date if you have other documentation to catch up your records (the receipt). On the other hand, the discrepancy caused by BAM is from an intentional attempt to get away with the legos despite knowing that they were consigned & they didn't belong to them, and then cover it up & intimidate the victims. World of difference.

Wait I don't get the layaway part... coffee says about 20k was marked as layaway, and how that at first seemed suspicious, but then wasn't actually. when he says 20k was marked as layaway, does that mean 20k of product was succesfully purchased through the layaway process and no longer in the store? or was it that it was initially marked down to *be sold later* but never was? if it's the first case then in addition to the other 10k that coffee pointed out krystal has 30k worth of sales that she didn't compensate bryan for. What am I missing here? later in the video he says theres 10-20k of lego that is "truly missing" (actual quote on his video). just pointing out that if I'm understanding the layaway correctly, krystal is responsible for 30k of the original 100k, which is more than the 10-20k that is truly missing?

ultima9

love ya coffee!

Abel

@coffeezilla Speaking as someone who is intimately involved in franchising, based on what you have shown, I think I know exactly what happened. I hope you see this comment. Its hard to explain fully in text but; It’s one massive accounting miscommunication driven by lack of responsibility and care to follow up during a messy hostile store reclamation and resale/corporate takeover. All parties are at fault here in their own way, even Bryan, sadly. Like you mentioned, every turn in this situation was literally the wrong choice. I could explain more details if I could speak because it’s like a half hour to hour conversation. TLDR; every party in this other than Bryan was screwing each other for profit and different motivations and in the process, created an accounting mishap that led to Bryan never getting paid correctly. Fking corpo/franchise drama shit

V

The opening animation is unbelievably sick, the quality just keeps getting better each video

Greig Booth

Sounds like Crystal was using the layaway system as a way of keeping cash flowing through the business with the intention of paying it back?

Cheyanne McDaniel

I live in Springfield which is just outside of Eugene and I'm pretty sure I saw Brandon today at Harbor Freight in Springfield.

blurrrr

The McNeff brothers look like the most arrogant, pompous band nerds who all the other kids hated

thecoffeemann

Here's the thing that sticks with me, what BAM says is wildly different then their action. Supposedly the brothers did a hustle takeover of BAM from their own Father. Why are they litigating this hard if all this is a communication and accounting error? I find them least credible of everyone involved. Taking down the GoFundMe is a blatant overreach and shows one thing: they want to control the narrative and they'll go to any length or expense to do so.

This, and the Pokémon inspired NFT game, are incredible journalism Here, take $5 and a $15 tip for all your hard work 🎬

Greig Booth

I really don’t understand how people arnt seeing this layaway issue has being a big deal. Anyone with any sort of business acumen would see that this could potentially be used as a way of giving the business fraudulent short term loans……….

Richard Williams

I have watched for a long time, this is my favorite video you have done. Well done, Coffee!

Graysica

You gotta drop the unedited U-Haul explanation!

So Money

Gormans very suspicious and sure while the theft is from many years ago, still a mistake was made and getting defensive is weird. Takes forever to build your reputation and only 5 minutes / one bad decision to ruin it. The guy also has horns on his head lol.

Zubin Madon

Please use your platform to convince reckless Ben to get a lawyer. He's going to let down Bryan and his friends if he represents himself

Greig Booth

Nearly 100 sets on layaway is a massive red flag. That’s the bit I keep coming back to. If the business was tight for cash, putting a huge number of valuable sets into layaway makes no commercial sense unless there’s a very clear explanation. You’re removing sellable stock from the floor, tying up inventory, and delaying money. Some sets may have been sold or effectively monetised, then marked as layaway to delay paying the consignor, is honestly not far fetched. It’s not proven, but it fits the behaviour better than “oops, paperwork.

Brian Gibson

Wait!!! McNeff said Brandon took pictures of everything and even had a spreadsheet but when pressed magically some things weren't on that spreadsheet??? I call the Tango here. Now he's going to deflect that "Oh they weren't that price"? I'm already smelling bullshit. If I smell it once that leads me to believe you are being deceptive. But they said Brandon didn't have a Uhaul it was a rental car. But now they remember a Uhaul??? LOL!!! The McNeff yeah you guys didn't know who they were but instead of finding out your corporation decided to call out a corrupt PD, 2 idiotic store owners, smear a former owner of the store. Pack it up is my opinion and if they go through with this court proceeding I will personally help monetarily as well as making sure every store is known from coast to coast removing any sort of profitable business.

I have to say the Police stuff is so weird and still seems a bit criminal. I have said this and will keep saying this. Someone needs to get AfroMan on the case with these cops! Hahaha
