While I will forever enjoy the Spiderman trilogy some of the premises are really silly in hindsight. The whole non lethal approach seems so naive for my brain now.

I've never really been too much of a fan of the supergero genre. It has as many problems with its cliches as it does good points. I don't hate it, but I don't like it either. Thankfully, it seems a lot of fanfic authors have the same problems with the genre as I do, as many of them try to make the settings more 'realistic'.

Im reminded of the jack sparrow quote "you can always trust a dishonest man to be dishonest. Its the honest ones you have to look out for Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly... stupid." I love spiderman but pete buddy your dumbass you have ran at every sign of them looking for you and can now say it was to deliver vital intel but at the time it was delivered someone died. Your dumbass can chalk those death up to you and their own fault for trying to rob people. (Like in the cancelled batwomen show everytime she let her villain alicewalk away without attempting any intervention she is also responsible for the crimes she causes after in my eye.)

I feel like if Lee doesn’t get a win (saving a world) he’ll break

So drivers license becomes psychic paper, a quick and easy fix that has the added benefit of driving Integra up the wall. Well done.

PublicLee Speaking

Not quite that strong, as he can't use it as fake credentials like Psychic Paper could, but there is eldritch fuckery afoot with it.

You know thinking about without lee and integra maybe helping next chapter pete still night die. I mean in spiderman 2 dude was eating shit fighting doc ock and only won appealing to doc and him changing his mind.
