My only complaint with this, is that it took too long to get to the point with the twist and the involvement of “our” cast. But realistically ANYTHING in the tolkien-verse had better be verbose and willing to chew the scene a bit. Seeing things from “Halbrand’s” point of view was deeply amusing though. The level of “you are all fucking morons” he was giving off was amazing. I would not be opposed to more of this.

I thought everyone hated Rings of Power. Edit: Having read the chapter I get that it’s because everyone hates Rings of Power that they went there. Which is kind of poetic since people write fanfiction because they don’t like how something played out or to see what would happen when an element has changed (well the good fanfic anyway), but Blake decided to make her own true by going there and changing things.

I agree, it was good but it is less that it took too long for the DR cast to show up, and more that the majority (or at least half) of the chapter before they showed up.

that is very true. and if there were to be a follow-up to this, i would be more than willing to retract my complaint. "time" is weird when reading. in the work presented to us here, it feels like it took "too long" because percentage wise, most of the story had passed before we saw the twist, but as the story gets longer, that complaint and comparative "length" gets smaller... *shrugs* like i said at the end, I'm down for more of this.
