The Waifu Thief

Damn but this is another fine showing indeed. Really enjoyed this entire setup, the reveal at the end was expected but very well made, looks loke this version of percy has some heavy support this time and really want to see what comes next. I do feel for poor Dyonisious, moron does not realize he made himself the kind of enemy he should have avoided. All the greeks fall into that really.

to commission a chapter on your own its $400 but you can put any money down and say what story its towards and once enough people donate to reach the $400 threshold then it gets commissioned as well

oh boy, I never could get into those books as a kid because I was just smart enough to understand just how truly unfair it all was. How the Gods were always doing terrible things to their own children of all things, and there never seemed to be any real consequences. I think ill pay to just see that change. Damn the Gods.

So I really like this. I would love to see it continue. But, my one nitpick as a fan of PJO and Greek Mythology both, you keep calling Aphrodite things like “poseidons niece” or “Dionysus sister”. She’s not. She’s the daughter of Ouranos and Thalassa, spawned from sea foam. She’s the original olympians aunt, the half sister of the titans. Sorry if that sounded rant like, I wasn’t trying to. Anyways other than my nitpick, this is as great a story as I’ve come to expect from you. Keep up the awesome work!

Also, that ending was PERFECT. As soon as he started telling everyone his dad was Eros, I was hoping and praying you’d go the route you did, but damn if that wasn’t way more satisfying than I was expecting! Kudos. 👍

Don't worry about it. And as for the lore... Yes, but also no, as in some versions she's the daughter of Ouranos and Thalassa, while in the Iliad she's the Daughter of Zeus and Dione (who herself sometimes is an Oceanid, sometimes is a Titan), and in another when Cronus severed Ouranos' genitals and threw them into the sea, and THAT became Aphrodite, Thalassa not being involved at all. No matter what I do, something I do will be wrong, just because it all conflicts with itself, and that's before you get into the fact that Gene was, himself, getting stuff wrong. Mythology is complicated, essentially, and Gene knows even less about it than I do (having had to do tons of research for this, which is why it took a couple weeks to make).

here i was thinking you would pick a god like kratos as the godly parent on something like the hades game with zagreus for the build. man said nah and turned himself into a all you can eat buffet with neon sign for monsters. do the monsters he sold go to a specific part of the company? cause I could imagine it as like the pet shop or a familiar type of service thing before they would be immediately in the waifu part for the company.

Ah, yeah I know about the Iliad. And I didn’t consider the unreliable narrator angle. Though for pjo the ouranos and thalassa legend is canon, at least according to the wiki. Then again, it makes sense gene wouldn’t know if he only read the first book lol. Anyways all of that is small potatoes! This was awesome. Can you say whether or not we can expect a continuation? I’d really like to see more of this one and the Naruto one especially.

While I too agree Hestia gets a pass for not being the kind of douch all her siblings are I am not that fond of her really. At least the version from the Riordanverse is such a passive creature it irritated the heck out of me.

The thing is the MC has actual control over the buffet. He tells the monsters when they can come over and try to kill, he has actual control over his abilities and a heck lot more training then a 12 year old barely trained demigod. Finally in a death world like the Riordanverse the Talents are incredibly useful, specially when you consider how he stacked his bloodlines. Frankly it is going to take upper tier 6, like the dragon or the nemean lion, to have a chance against him and I assume the power gap is going to be closing rapidly. The shroud alone and his control over it make any kind of "standard" meele combat suicide against him at minimum.

He is claiming to be the son of eros, however there are two eros in greek mythology. The son of aphrodite is basically cupid is named eros and is a minor god whereas eros the primordial is one of the primordial forces that emerged from chaos. Hes on the level of gaia and tartarus.
