1 - Download your zip.

2 - Drag your zip onto blender, my tool has been tested with v4.3+ and v5 of blender. I believe it should work with any version of 4. Please communicate with me if this is not the case.

3 - Import your clothes and your avatar you're transfering them to. While helpful, its not necissary to have the original avatar, however for demo ease I have it here as well. Make sure your avatars and clothes are at their original scale from your avatar creator. I will be taking Vulper clothes and transfering them to the furpaw.

4 - Open and familiarize yourself with my tool! It can be accessed by clicking the arrow in the top right corner of the viewer.

TRANSFERING CLOTHES

1 - Select your Original and New Avatar.

2 - Use the eye dropper to select your choice of clothing mesh.

3 - Make sure your clothes have no Transformation on them. The armature they're bound to is fine, but the meshes themselves should display 0,0,0 for rotation, transformation, and 1,1,1 for scale. In addition make sure your clothes are to scale with the original avatar's Blend/FBX.

4 - Set inflation and translation. The world translation can make setting up multiple avis easier, however if you want you can leave it at 0,0,0 and move the clothes as neccisary. Inlflate allows you to "inflate" the clothes mid transfer which can allow tight fitting clothes a slight bit of room for clipping.

Hit Transfer Clothes!!! Ideally you should see something that looks like this.

Before going to the Weight Paint and Blendshape Steps be sure to clean up the mesh as you'd like. It can be useful to add, remove and adjust edge loops when moving between avatars as their areas of deformation can be different. Often times I'll take a smooth brush and softly run it accross the clothes for cleaner topo. Small or hard surface objects might need to be deleted and copied and scaled seperately. You can see some of the buttons have been deformed badly.

WEIGHT PAINT

My weight paint is a basic weight transfer, if you'd like a more advanced system look into Robust Weight Transfer or other tools. https://github.com/sentfromspacevr/robust-weight-transfer/releases

Select your transfered clothes and the target mesh.

Turn on any Blendshapes that hide fluff or will otherwise allow for a cleaner bind to the clothes.

Delete Old Weights will remove all the previous Vertex Groups.

Bind Armature will attempt to automatically find the armature of the body mesh and add an armature Modifier targeting it.

Hit Transfer Weight Paints.

If everything worked the clothes should now move with your model.

TRANSFER BLENDSHAPES

This part I'm quite proud of. I also use this durring brand new clothing creation as well.

Once again select your clothes and body. Turn Fluff hiding blendshapes on. This means they wont be bound and can provide better binding for other blendshapes. if you forget this you can always remove fluff blendshapes later.

Delete Blendshapes removes any existing blendshapes on the clothes.

Bind Blendshapes is a cool system that ties the blendshapes of the clothes to that of the avatar. That way you only have to set the avatars blendshapes in blender and the clothes will follow. This is denoted by a purple bar. To remove this link right click and Delete Driver.

SAVE SCENE

Hit Transfer Blendshapes. - this might take a while from 5 seconds to 1-2 mins depending on how many blendshapes are on your avatar .

Blendshapes should be transfered to your clothes. Once again perform any clean up necessary. One common one will be smoothing the breast blendshapes so that the clothing isn't skin tight like you just got pushed into a pool.

Good Luck Tailors!
