BigZ04 Not as good as you hoped for (Patreon)

Currently, the weather isn't all that great, and the vacations are just around the corner. While I'm busy preparing some blog posts and coding additional functionalities into my backtesting script, I've also been testing some of the strategies I had left in my repository. Believe me, there are quite a lot of them...

Among these strategies, I stumbled upon an algorithm called BigZ04, which drew inspiration from the works of iterativ (the creators of CombinedBinHAndClucV6). The author, who goes by the name "Perkmeister," seems to have invested considerable effort into it. However, on my setup, it didn't quite perform up to par. That said, it's important to note that while it may not shine with my specific pairs, settings, timeframes, and daterange, it doesn't necessarily mean it's entirely worthless.

I'm still keen on sharing my findings here because it's possible that on someone else's setup, it could deliver impressive results. But do keep in mind that this particular strategy relies on informative pairs and is restricted to timeframes no higher than 1 hour.

Now, there's one other thing to mention. I had to make some adjustments to the internal workings of the strategy files as they were originally built on older Freqtrade versions and weren't compatible with the most recent ones. However, I've resolved this issue, and as far as I can tell, my modifications haven't negatively impacted these strategies. Specifically, I tweaked the market buy and sell settings to align with the current required configurations.
