She unzipped her bulletproof bodysuit, baring her chest, exposing herself as a sign of trust—or perhaps as a challenge. For a brief second, a smirk graced her lips.

Then the shot came.

A single, deadly bullet pierced straight into her left breast, tearing into her heart with brutal precision. She gasped, her body jerking from the impact, her eyes widening in shock. The pain was deep, searing, unlike anything she had ever felt before.
