Mrs. Pearlmania is sharing her grandmother's deviled egg recipe with our paid tier patreon members! This recipe was designed over decades of trial and error and catholic guilt. The PDF document is attached below for you to download, print and even laminate.

Above is a 52:23 minute podcast where Mrs. P explains exactly how to follow this recipe to Alex Pearlman who we all quickly discovered is a food moron. There are no wrong questions, no obvious answers, and there is a little bit of fractions, but it's all covered in amazing vibes.

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate! Or happy making deviled eggs and enjoying the feeling of accomplishment if you live outside the USA!

Alton Brown taught us the tyranny of the single-purpose kitchen tool and I still have deviled egg holders. They are necessary. I bet I could figure out something else to use them for if I needed to.

rendezvous_deez_nuts

My friend tells me it’s “very Wisconsin of me” to listen to a deviled egg recipe while working on assignments in the library.

Desantis’s.Sleep.Paralysis.Demon.

I'm gonna be big mad if I make them and my family eats them all. I'm a chef by trade and I never get to eat what I make 😭

Peach

I can’t express enough how excited I am for these eggs! Thoughts on using kewpie mayo with this recipe? I started using it a few years ago in my recipe and felt it took it up a notch.

TitanOlaf

After these eggs have been talked up so much on the show, I’m totally gonna make these… Now, if any of them make it to Thanksgiving is the question

TitanOlaf

They can hold hard-boiled eggs… Problems solved

El Reed

I very much enjoyed vibing out with the food moron and I already have the recipe. Vibing out with the two of you is going to be required for survival for the next four years.

Pearlmania500

I have, it’s delicious. When I used kewpie added about 1 tablespoon of chopped fresh dill to the filling, then put a little piece of smoked salmon on top and a caper. ~ Mrs.P

Patronofchaos

I hope this continues for Mrs Ps cookbook, love more audio recipes (waiting for that pumpkin cheesecake one.)

Smiling, nodding, didn’t get the joke

This did a remarkable job of calming my anxiety when cooking someone else’s recipe. All the little questions I would have had, like pan type, tweaking the consistency, if brand names mattered, all were answered. And it was nice to feel like I had someone in my tiny kitchen cooking with me, without rage of tripping over someone and wanting to shove them out of my way.

Arlo the Average

I would love a Food Moron recipe for chocolate chip cookies. They are the one thing I can never get right

Nixie

I love this, and would welcome more recipe episodes!

MeDrawPretty

Food moron here, this was AMAZING! All of the questions Alex asks are questions I have too. What is “medium?” What pot/pan should I use? Too salty?

Ravenna Roanoke

I loved this!!! Totally adding to my lil random cookbook journal 🥰

Krillin the GOAT

I'm not an egg person. Still listened to the recipe because it was entertaining.

Desantis’s.Sleep.Paralysis.Demon.

I was at work as a chef doing prep and listening to this like yep yep yep I like this and making little mental notes to get eggs and ingredients after work today. 😌

I Would Have Voted for Emperor Norton 2024

I'm only 10 minutes in but had to jump on to say that as someone who rarely cooks, I really appreciate Mr. P's very basic questions. These are the kinds of details I need.

Potatoes_in_Idaho_aren’t_special

I have never cared for deviled eggs but now inspired to make them. I would love more recipes like this! The food moron questions are super helpful honestly. I think a whole soup series would be amazing 🙌🏼 it should def be called Soup for Your Family

Pearlmania500

YES! THAT IS THE MOVIE! AH ITS SO WEIRD! - MR P

Mary merrie bird

Love the vibe of your audio cookbook. Chill and fun approach. Helpful tips. I would love more gluten free recipes.

Council of Birds

Finally something to bring to the table for Thanksgiving

I Would Have Voted for Emperor Norton 2024

I would love more food moron episodes! I live off of frozen pizzas and goldfish because cooking feels so overwhelming and confusing. The fanciest thing I make is panko crusted chicken. But listening to this episode is a huge motivator, to the point where I think I'll be making deviled eggs for the first time??! Feeling like I can cook anything if Mrs. P is walking me and Mr. P through the steps.

I Would Have Voted for Emperor Norton 2024

I second this! I would love to learn why everyone always says so casually that you just throw stuff in a pot and it comes out yummy. Like, what do you mean? Mrs. P, help us.

Short_Range_Attack_Chicken

Funny thing as soon as you said a recipe with a lot of eggs I shouted custard! 😂 If someone ever heard me in my car they’d think I was crazy!🤪😂🤣

Short_Range_Attack_Chicken

Personally I enjoyed listening and thanks to Mrs P. For the trick with the ice bath! It’s been 25 years since I stopped being a prep / short order cook at a cafe and I totally forgot about it! 🙃

PublicLibraryProphet

I had no idea I would enjoy listening to an audio recipe so much. As a fellow food moron, I really appreciate this breakdown !

Taydawspi

I have not start this episode and I’m so happy to see 53 minutes dedicated to deviled eggs.

Vibin’ in the mind palace

I adored this episode - would love to have more!! The chatting and tips were great additions - made it so much more rich, fun, and helpful!

Listen_up_poop_butt! You_are_a_cutie_patootie!

Love this vibe! I love the verbal extras& Alex had so many good questions that led Mrs P to share a lot of tips and tricks that maybe she wouldn’t have. Very much like cooking in the kitchen with family- minus the trauma 😅😅

Sam

I rarely comment because even though I pay for the team lead, I listen to your podcast on Spotify just so you will be on my Spotify Wrapped. I adored this episode and would love a food moron series! My husband went to culinary school so I’m the food moron of the household. I would love to know Mrs. P’s soup and baking recipes!

Jessipoot

I need so much help cooking. I’m on mounjaro so my imagination when it comes to eating is absolutely squashed. I have to be told what to do. 😂

ItsDot

Big fan of vibing out with the food moron 💚 Hope to hear more of it in the future

Jarrett Bond

Definitely would enjoy more of these!

Short_Range_Attack_Chicken

Btw I’m here for the Mrs P. & Mr P. Banter. I enjoy it very much you both bring laughter to my life which is very much needed and appreciated.

TwoHats

This was a treasure, an absolute delight; Conversational Cooking with the Food Moron might be my new favorite series. At the close of every season, Alex can get tasked with preparing a fancy meal and Mrs. P gets a spa day because no one wants to watch someone flounder in their own kitchen.

Samantha Friday

Thank you for this, just made them tonight! Would love to see a video of Alex actually making these, seeing someone actually do it would be helpful! I had some leftover deviled egg mixture and I used that as a creamy base for my Ramen broth, AMAZING

MatchaParty

I love this a lot! Maybe list them in steps so people might be able to follow better. BUT pleaseeeee make more recipes!

The Libberator

Sweet or smoked paprika? I assume smoked?

Kari McCormick

I have to steam my eggs. I get them directly from the chickens on my farm, steaming is the only way to get the shells off with any white intact. If anyone is nervous about hard-boiling, the egg steamers work great.

Pearlmania500

Sweet for the classic Americana, we both loved smoked ( maybe with a little chopped bacon on top) when we are being fancy ~ MrsP

Casper

I feel like I got a christmas gift made with love from Mr. & Mrs. Pearlmania. This episode was gift that kept on giving. 100% would love more!

Casey Leigh

Please make more of these. I used the recipe before having time to listen to the pod first and this made so much more sense. 😈🥚Here’s to doing a dry run before the holidays! Cannot wait to make my best batch yet. Take that, Mom Mom!

Casey Leigh

My dead Mom Mom, not yours, my bad!

Endac

Need more content. This was great lmao

Nikki Ann

About to listen to this but my kids got me an egg dash thing on Amazon a couple years back and I’ve not had any issue peeling even very fresh eggs. So everyone go buy one lol.

Red Moon

I need more of these it tickled my autistic brain because there was explanations on why you do things a certain way

PorcelainGod

Although I was already pretty confident in my deviled egg abilities, I really enjoyed listening to this. I hope to see more of these in the future!

Amelia SanFilippo

Please please please do more! Here for the Mrs. P cook book club!

AugieLovesPenny

The only thing missing from this absolute gem is a His Name Was Dusk theme/bumper. Here for more Food Moron episodes.

PumpkinKing008

Did I listen to this while at work, definitely not following along but listening VERY intently? Why yes, yes I did! I’m also craving deviled eggs very badly now… 🤣

Short_Range_Attack_Chicken

Good goddess!! Why is there 1 tablespoon of kosher salt on the printed recipe?!?’ 😱😰🫣

Listen_up_poop_butt! You_are_a_cutie_patootie!

Back to report! My sister enjoyed both the first& 2nd round of deviled eggs. (She helped me finish the first round. I did tooo much mustard.) After tweaking it, I presented round two to the family. My oldest daughter is OBSESSED! Jr high kids are a tough crowd. A win is a win.

Madam Ooze

Made these for Thanksgiving and there was a fight for leftovers

Coco Boomslang

Can we get pics on the insta of the egg plates? TheY sound cute AF! ❤️

Jason L

Even if you don't particularly care for deviled eggs, "Vibing Out With The Food Morning" is top notch podcasting. Might have supplanted Mrs Ps Book Club as my favorite thing on the show. As for the food blog seo concerns, it just adds flavor to the show here. I'm not hearing about your summer in the Spanish countryside where you fell in love with eggs or paprika or whatever.

✨Sparkling Misandry✨

I just managed to finally listen to this and it was delightful! More please! I am not a food moron, although I am a moron in many other ways, but this was great nonetheless. Also, for your consideration: smoked paprika. 😍 sooo good.

Thanksitscrochet

Did I know how to make deviled eggs bc I’m also the designated deviled egg maker? Yes. Did I still listen and love it? Also yes. I’ve always been a measure with your heart and taste test for the filling ingredients so it was interesting to hear it broken down.

LilQueenTrashMouth

As someone from Ireland who doesn’t know where to buy “spicy brown” or what kosher salt is.. I’m still going to try and make these.

took_too_long_to_find_how_to_change_name_gabrielle

*also a food moron* soooo i went a lil off the rails and used the mayo/mustard ratio to make the most basics of chicken salad for a quick bite. i highly recommend using just the mayo to mustard ratio!

Casey Leigh

Officially making this my third relisten to this episode cos i got a concussion recently and i wanna make sure i can still follow a recipe thanks to the soothing Hoagiemouth sounds of the Pearls

Casey Leigh

Not me tearing up when Mrs. P says sometimes when you’re just feeling bad, make yourself something like this. Thank you so much for looking out for us all the time y’all.

Just_a_tried_teacher_from_maine

When you started to talk about high school bullies I chuckled and said out loud “mines dead” at the same time as Alex . Then proceeded to laugh at the coincidence haha
