The Pod is Coming From Inside the Cast!

I first started hearing about the shady Betterhelp stuff a couple of weeks ago and HOLY SHIT it makes me so fucking mad. I've been fortunate enough to have the resources for therapy and Betterhelp seemed like a great way for people who don't have access to good healthcare to get some help with their problems. But the more of this I'm listening to it's really dawning on me that seriously, how good can the quality of the healthcare professionals be? My therapist works 12 HOURS a day because the organization she works for has such a massive waiting list. It's not like you can't get a regular gig if you're a good therapist because I was lucky as hell to manage to get onto my therapist's schedule. I would not be shocked if a lot of the Betterhelp therapists are either massively overworked and are just trying to make some extra coin (typical gig economy type) or are fucking shit and nobody else would take them. How scary, I want people to have access to care for their mental health. I think everyone should see a therapist even if it's just in the short term, we all have shit to work through.

Ahh!! I’m so happy I aided in some dopamine for a moment! Lol this podcast def helps me in the same department. And speaking of dopamine I literally JUST looked into BetterHelp right before this all started coming out. I didn’t pay for anything bc I was actually looking for something that took insurance and was directed there. But I unfortunately filled out the big questionaire at the beginning 🤦‍♀️ I sent them an email and stated I want my account deleted asap and I don’t want any of my info sold or shared or given away. I’m sure I’m too late tho. Ugh oy! Love you two!!💜

I had multiple horrible experiences with Better Help. First therapist didn't know what the word "neurodivergent" meant, which is fucking wild to me. The last one straight up scoffed in my face when I told her I was using cannabis to cope with trauma, she literally said "And what's your trauma?" I was like bitch I'm not telling you now! I got a full refund for that one.
