Same for book club. For weekly episodes I listen at work on Monday or very very late before bed Sunday. Depending on my insomnia and patience.

Pelicans are my favorite dinosaur

Can't decide if I want to dive in on this episode or read the book first. The synopsis sounds terrifying. I hated playing hide and seek as a kid. The feeling I would get when I could tell someone was close to finding me was so intense it hurt. So I can't imagine how tense this will be.

I couldn't resist. I listened and it's friggin fantastic! Alex was giving huge Conan O'Brien at the beginning and Mrs P is one of my favorite people on earth. That is all.

This is the second book I’ve decided to read after listening to book club (the first was Dead Silence which became one of my favorite reads this year) and I honestly love reading the book after listening bc I pick up on so many small things throughout that I wouldn’t have noticed if I didn’t know where things were headed. It’s a really fun experience. Plus at least with Dead Silence a lot of the tension wasn’t lost when I started reading, it was just different - knowing what’s happening conceptually doesn’t always make it less scary if the characters’ experience is still well written

This was such a good book club ep! I’m never gonna read horror books cause imma scaredy cat but I like hearing the plots of them so this is perfect for me 😂. Also anyone else wondering if the dad killed mac’s family cause he didn’t want them to be used as sacrifices? Or he just learned about the Minotaur and had a mental break? Idk that part of it is lingering in my head for some reason lol

I wondered the same! They never explain it in the book tho and usually the author explained motivations for characters even if they weren’t part of the main story
