Biggest Clues Kit Update Yet! (Patreon)
Content
Hi everyone, hope you're having a great day! I have been very busy with real life stuff for the last couple of days, but I powered through to release this update! This brings the biggest update to Clues Kit yet! It even integrates High Quality Prep into it!
Here is what changed!
Now you can choose a new Newspaper delivery option in High Quality Prep so you can send the papers directly to the players' clues deck! You can read them from the clues deck and even drag them onto the clues board!
Small adjustments
When connecting clues on the clues board you can now just click on the clue to connect it! Easier than clicking on the connection button
Delete button in the messanger now deletes only the selected messages, not the whole conversation
Connecting clues, especially handouts or newspapers, is now visually fluid, the endpoints of the connection are actually connected to the pngs of the newspaper/handout
Now you can add clues as handouts into the clues deck, not only as clue cards! You can also drag them onto the investigation board as handouts!
Now the GM can use another separate clues board, which they can show to the players if they choose
Now you can send voice messages in the messanger!
You can pause, play, fast forward or back voice messages
Note: You can define the limit of how many voice messages are saved to not slow down Foundry too much. Currently there is a limit of 50, adjust this based on your specs.
Once there are more than 50 messages in the messanger older voice messages get deleted
Note: Don't forget to update High Quality Prep as well if you want to use the integration!
To use the voice message feature:
Voice messages require microphone access, which browsers only allow on secure connections. If you're connecting to your Foundry server over a local network using an IP address, the browser considers it insecure (Unless you have an SSL certificate) and blocks the microphone. Here's how to fix it. (Note: Foundry's desktop app works out of the box, just make sure to choose your input device properly)
Chrome flag (for remote players)
If you're connecting from a different machine on your network:
Open Chrome and go to: chrome://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure
In the text field, type your full Foundry URL
Change the dropdown from Disabled to Enabled
Close Chrome completely and open it
Navigate back to your Foundry game. The mic should now work
Thank you all for your support, I couldn't do this without you! Until the next module/update!
