Game Computer Update Is Here! (Patreon)

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great day! I apologize for the delay, patreon's system has flagged my posts for absolutely no reason and has delayed them for multiple days!

Game Computer has been updated to use websites built by media maker! Furthermore it now fully supports the Fallout terminals! The other post about Media Maker is now fully visible, I recommend reading that first as these two posts are highly related!

Here ist the list of changes for both Game Computer and now Media Maker:

Game Computer

Computer icons now have black screens instead of transparent screens.

Game Computer now works on systems that block module-defined item types (SF2e, PF2e, etc...).

Added the ability to populate computers with files, emails, databases, etc... from a csv file! Clicking import will open up a window which allows you to copy instructions for the LLM of your choice, the LLM will provide you with a csv file or text, after getting your request, which you can paste to have the module populate your computer with the csv made by the AI!

New frame and operating system: Fallout Terminal.

It is different than the previous win98 theme and seeks to fulyl emulate the typical fallout terminals

The terminal is a menu of options you write yourself: logs, messages, commands, anything, nested as deep as you want

When a player picks an option you get whispered in chat; mark reading options silent so only real actions ping you

The option to populate a fallout terminal provides different LLM instructions so it can populate the terminal properly

The non-AI populate button also generates archived logs and flavor commands

Fixed: deleting files in My Documents now actually deletes them

Fixed: ejecting a disk returns it to the inventory it was inserted from, instead of dumping it in the Items sidebar

You can change the image of data containers manually now. The three built-in icons still follow the disk type if you don’t

Internet Explorer is a real browser now. Type an address and visit published websites you built in Media Maker

Working Back, Forward, Refresh and Home buttons, a History menu, and address autocomplete

Players can download files from websites straight into the computer’s My Documents

You can edit a website while a player is on it and their browser updates live, just like the camera feeds

Game Computer and Media Maker still have a long way to go! Modern computers are still in the works and with them modern websites in media maker.

No doubt people will want a more comprehensive video showing how to use the modules and it will come in time! However right now I'm focusing on development, once the module is complete I'll release a full overview video!

Media Maker will be released on Foundry officially in the upcoming days so manual installation will be unnecessary!

As mentioned before, the upcoming updates are already planned: Enhanced Inventory with some adjustments, fixes, and daggerheart support. Mindscape with a similiar update, then a handy small module to help the GM get a nice overview during combat!
