This show has moments of exciting action, but it’s not action packed. It spends a lot of time carefully building the characters and exploring the different ways authoritarianism strips the humanity away from the people living in that system. It’s social and political commentary. That’s not typical for Star Wars, the rest of which only uses authoritarianism as a backdrop for lightsaber fights and dogfights in space. I love it, but I understand it’s not for everyone.
