[EN] My grandmother gave me this book many years ago, but I wasn't able to read or understand it very well then since I had just started learning Latin. Having rediscovered the little book, I read it to you here! Perhaps your children would enjoy this picture book as well.

Perbelle! Ferdinandus umbraticus fuit, nonne? Sed etiam validus et herous!

Dedi discipulis legendum anno praeterito, multum placuit. Idem sentiebant de aliis libris illius seriei.

Nos omnes umbratici volumus validi et heroi esse.

This is wonderful. It's like when you read your child a book and talk about the pictures as you do. I never realized that I was teaching my children their language when I did that. The story itself would be a bit challenging for me, but because you talked about the pictures, it makes the story comprehensible. Brilliant! I remember my father reading Winnie the Pu and talking about the pictures and laughing. And your obvious enjoyment of the story was contagious. More please :-)

I'm so glad you liked it! 😃 This was on eof my very first recordings for Patreon. What other storybooks like this are available? Are there PDFs around with pictures? They could even be made into videos for you all.

Challenging because novellas have restricted vocab, but translated children's books don't. Needs pictures and a good story. Maybe

Walter Canis Inflatus by William Kotzwinkle, Glenn Murray Walter the Farting Dog is very funny in English, but in Latin it's totally hilarious.Quomodo Invidiosulus Nomine Grinchus Christi Natalem Abrogaverit by Dr. Seuss  Winnie Ille PoohMagus Mirabilis in Oz

I guess it doesn't have to have pictures, you could interrupt the story to laugh and talk about what just happened, as you would with a child.
