Yes sir, it was! Sorry if I’ve missed some of your other thoughtful messages; I’ve been struggling all week to get a new audiobook completed. More to come!

Libentissimē expectō ista! Et nīl est, frāter. Intellegō quod valdē occupatissumus es!

Salve, Luci. Gratias tibi pro his locutionibus perutilibus (mox hunc librum emam). Parvula interrogatio mihi est: "sophos" dicis, cum accentu in ultima syllaba, sicut Graece dicitur (id est: σοφῶς). Scisne an Romani Graecum accentum in verbis a Graeca lingua mutuatis sequerentur?

Luke Amadeus Ranieri

Et tibi, optime mī Vincentī, grātiam semper habeō! 😊 Ah, bene rogās. Rōmānī solēbant vōcem acuere mōre suō secundum rēgulās Latīnās, etiam verbīs Graecīs. Equidem sum ūsus vōce Graecissimā accentū circumflexō mūsicō. Rōmānī māximae ērudītiōnis nīmīrum idem facere poterant. Nōs quī Anglicō sermōne patruō ūtimur sat multīs locūtiōnibus ē Gallicā linguā assumptīs fruimur, verbī grātiā "touché!" Iī Anglicē loquentēs quī māximē student reī Gallicae bellō sonō Francīscitānte (ut ita dīcam! 😂) id vocābulum ēnūntiant. Sed hoc rārō fit. Ēcontrā solēmus "two Shea" dīcere. Itaque licet, quantum mea fert opīniō, utrōque modō.

Vincent Ramos-Filaire

Gratias tibi ob responsum tuum. Nisi erro, Allen nihil de hac quaestione disputat in "Vox Latina" sua; rem praetermittit, eheu!

Commodum est mihi, Magister, ut aliquando Anglice loquaris… sed non nimis, sodes.

If you ever visit the Oktoberfest in Munich, go into a Bierzelt with a traditional music band. From time to time they will sing a special drinking song: "ein Prosit, ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit." And after that in Bavarian dialect a version of " 1 2 3 let's drink" I think this is the origin of the origin 😊
