How Todd wound up with this rather expensive jet — its prototype status notwithstanding — has not, I believe, ever been canonized. We know (or think we know) he was created when a stork dropped a burrito worth approximately six dollars into an active volcano. We know he can speak with the dead. But how, do you suppose, this jet airplane came into his life?

One piece at a time.

He’s been deputized by Homeland Security?

Achewood

🎶and it didn’t cost him a dime🎶

Achewood

I think I saw one of those 3’ tall rolling drink delivery robots wearing a badge and blue shirt at PDX last week, so why not?

Achewood

Most obvious answer ever [forehead smack emoji]

Achewood

Damn son, Julie beat you by 2, but points for seeing' the truth

Achewood

Good company indeed. I wish there could be live in person achewood jeopardy with plane tickets and buzzers and I would even be willing to take painkillers for a day as Alex

Does the Embraer have two stereos for DOUBLE MUSIC?

Dickie

I'm a bit less interested in how he got it and more curious as to why it hasn't been pawned for nose candy.

Achewood

You know the front part of those jet engines is each blastin’ Priest’s Exciter Maybe about half a second off from one another

Achewood

This makes me think it’s actually a nose candy smuggling shuttle! Next time: Pete hegseth blasts ray and Todd outta the sky

Dickie

Ah, yes! You see? This is why *you* write, and *I* read.

Achewood

Sounds possible, but I don't recall a specific source

b.zap

I bow to the master

Shawn Warren

Thanks for reminding me that a 6 dollar burrito used to be considered expensive

Bill

Won it in a high-stakes coke-off with an upper executive at Embraer.

Achewood

Don't worry, it'll probably end in some inscrutable and dissatisfying way quite soon, if history is to be believed.

Achewood

I've hit $14.50 here in Portland, but my kid was there, so I didn't make my historically traumatizing levels of fuss

Achewood

"High-stakes coke-off" -- double entendre or no, that's a fabulous concept
