Edit: No need for Shan to read this. There were 5 special episodes of doctor who after the end of series 4 and before the start of series 5. By release date it would be: Doctor Who - S04E13 - Journey's End Doctor Who - The Next Doctor Doctor Who - Planet of the Dead Torchwood - S03 Doctor Who - The Waters of Mars Doctor Who - The End of Time - Part One Doctor Who - The End of Time - Part Two Hope this helps.

Not quite how a bunch of people on Discord put the Year 4 watch order together but I'm sure they knew what they were doing.

I hate amnesia, it can suck a fat one

Ricky

Fair enough, just been reading over the discussion in discord. Makes sense to split them a little so you don't end up with only torchwood for a few weeks. Thanks.

Donna was my favourite companion as well

Heyy what’s up you guys, Journeys End and here we are. Doctor Who does Avengers style team up, four years before Joss Whedon - and what a journey we’ve all been on. I hated it when Dr strange did it in Spider-Man no way home and I hated it even more the first time round when I saw this back in 2008. I literally said in the cinema there gonna Donna Noble the end of this movie! By the way rearrange the letters of "Osterhagen" it’s an anagram of "Earth's Gone". Blue Peter and The One Show TV presenter Gethin Jones operates a Dalek in this episode, returning to Doctor Who after his brief appearance as a Cybus Cyberman in The Age of Steel. I know you don’t know who he is but he’s Welsh loves Dr who and works for the BBC, winning. The outfit the Meta-Crisis Doctor wears mirrors Rose's outfit from this season by having a blue jacket over a red shirt as well as the Ninth Doctor's outfit with a similar type of shirt with a jacket over it. Just like you Billie Piper disliked having Rose end up with the Metacrisis Doctor, (back in 2008) feeling that it was a cop-out from the ending of Doomsday, and also not being keen on the implication that she had settled for an inferior copy of the Doctor. Her words back in 2008! She has since changed her mind as of 2025 and wants RTD to write a spin-off of what life would be like with them now. Married with 4 children weird and having some weird pets. The episode gained an overall, consolidated viewing figure of 10.57 million viewers in its first BBC1 airing. This placed it as the No. 1 program in the UK across all channels of the week, beating all the Wimbledon finals and all of ITV’s soap opera outings- Coronation Street, and Emmerdale. Making Journey's End the highest rated episode in the 45-year history of Doctor Who. The end of season four left me feeling satisfied and saddened, I legit wept. The Doctor was alone and so was Donna, the story was complete and as a Who fan I was eating good. Belly full. Three roses. Absolute cinema. *hands up* Didn’t realise how good I had it. But how was it for you? Personally I thought you’d like Matt smiths run I didn’t have you down as enjoying The Tennant years.

these were great eps yes, but for me what made them so was everyone returning, and the music was brilliant throughout. Epic.

I hated Donna during The Runaway bride, but she became my favorite companion as well. Having her memory erased & reverting back to her earlier shallow version is far more tragic then just her dying. The regeneration fake out really confused me. I knew David Tennant was on his way out but I Didn't expect it to happen there & then but they had a loophole to get out of it. Also, sounds like if you aren't fully a fan, you may be pretty close now

If were you were looking to take a break it would safe to take one after this episode. Then you would do Torchwood Series 3 and then the Doctor Who Series 4 Specials and then another break before Series 5 of Doctor Who. The Series 4 specials aired between December 2008 and January 2010. So though technically part of Series 4 they are also not part of it and had their own home media release independently from the Series 4 set. However I most likely expect you will be reading this at the beginning of the next episode viewing :)

Thanks for the reminder of the titles.

Zoot!

Yay Donna love! Season 4 is awesome because of Donna, she is a top fav. I just binged from Unicorn and the Wasp to get to here, that was fun. Next up is a bridge year of specials before season 5. All of it is important!

Loved this episode almost feels like a series finale then season final, cause they mention all the people the Doctor lost over the years, and all the companions we've met are all here, and that scene of the small TARDIS carrying the huge Earth back home with the music playing still feels like the most triumphant moment ever!!! The ending I think is really tragic and more sadder then when Rose left and still breaks my heart.
